“You are becoming reckless after you are capable to cultivate. You are showing enthusiasm about dangerous things. This trip is already making me shiver, and you are impulsively confronting a beast. It was a lot better when you were lazy and sluggish.” Su Maoxian voiced while helping Liu Ye in cooking the blood-headed boar.

“Who is reckless? I only acted after knowing the situation.” Liu Ye replied.

“What did you know? You just picked a map and brought me with you into the valley for something True Qi realm cultivators fight for. And just now you were going to fight this boar, the instance it appeared. What did you know about this beast? Did you say anything about this boar? Was any information shared by you about this beast? Did you ask whether I was ready to fight? I was thinking about the ways to flee from the beast without getting hurt, and you put on an attacking pose. Can’t you stay behind silently?” Su Maoxian snapped indignantly.

“I recognised that the beast is at first level mid-tier. This level beast can be killed by us. I can even kill it on my own.” Liu Ye defended himself. “And you, you were trying to stop me in the middle of confronting a beast, that is a stupid action. Didn’t you recognise the level of the beast? Even if you are injured and inexperienced, it should be easy for you to kill it. Why were you retreating? What is there to be afraid of in the situation?”

“This boar was wary of me, and it only charged at us after you stopped retreating and began to confront it. We could have safely retreated instead of fighting the beast. “Liu Ye, these words can’t make me believe in you.” Su Maoxian replied. “I understand that I should show more courage since I am already in the valley. But can’t you discuss with me? Can’t you listen to my words in moments like these?”

“We were already facing the boar, and It's easy to kill. I said to you at that moment that we can kill it.”

“But you didn’t listen to what I had to say?”

“Who had the time to listen to you?”

“See, this is recklessness. Two of us came to this valley together, and no one is superior to the other. If you are going to make decisions impulsively and do as you wish, you should have said so beforehand. I might not have followed you then.”

“I was not ordering you. Why are you thinking in that way?”

“That’s good. We won’t be coming across any high level beasts along the way. If we come across a low level beast, let us fight it if we can. Are you okay with this?” Liu Ye asked him.

“If we can evade the high level beasts, why can’t we avoid encountering the low level beasts.” Su Maoxian voiced his doubts.

“The smell from burning the devil-tongue grass keeps most beasts away, but some low level beasts like this boar are attracted to the smell of burning devil-tongue grass. You don’t have to worry about any high level beast becoming attracted to the smoke. Most high level beasts are either frightened or disgusted with the smell. While some low beasts might come for them even if they are frightened, looking for things that can strengthen them.” Liu Ye assured Su Maoxian.

“Even so, brother Qin warned that your disease might reoccur. It is best if you don’t fight.” Su Maoxian said to him.

“You don’t have to worry about my disease. It is already under control. There won’t be any backlash if I fight.” Liu Ye replied. He spent points and let the system seal both of his spirit roots after the analysis of his body was completed.

“I will believe when brother Qin says these words.” Su Maoxian stated.

“Shall we meet him on the way? I can let him assure you” Liu Ye asked.

“I don’t want to. Let us avoid all of them.” Su Maoxian answered.

Qin Jia, and Lan Yue’s team reached near the Flame Baby Fruits in a day. They saw other cultivators from different sects and gangs already arrived. Qin Jia, and the others selected a place and set up their camp.

The cultivators from other sects greeted them and engaged in discussions with them. They showed enough respect to the authority of the region and left.

“Where are the disciples from your sect. Had no one reached this location before us?” Qin Jia asked Lan Yue. On the way, Lan Yue mentioned that some disciples from Phoenix Jade Palace might directly leave for the Blazing Parasol Tree. But there were no other disciples from her sect.

“They won’t be arriving this early. They will arrive last to show off their status. We don’t need to wait for them.” Lan Yue sneered.
