"There he was praying at the altar again, and I was like to myself is he okay I don't know man I'll ask him at school." Michelle said to the rest of Samuels' friends.
Samuel walks through the classroom doors as they close behind him, realizing he is the only student left to be seated, he does not care for all he knows now is that the world has something bigger left for him in store. He sits next to his friends as they all interrogate him with a barrage of questions. Are you Christian? Are you a Satanist? Some comments were even said instead of questions like if he was okay or not going to the altar at the top of that hill. "Hope you're doing well" or "Glad you're feeling better bro", but he is not doing better. Samuel goes through his day like usual but this time he sees the fish staring at him from the pond he sees walking home everyday from, he sees someone take a spoon of cough syrup down, he sees things that he has most definitely seen before yet it seems new to him. Like he has gained some new type of insight. People he has always seen too seemed happy and still he looks as if the people are sad, not fulfilled, desolate zombies frolicking about this world with no real purpose waiting for their inevitable demise. He feels the need to save them, to free them, to some fortune that man should have found by now.
Days go by, these days turn to weeks, and these weeks turn to months, from October to March of the following year, it is now the year 2018. Samuel still believe the world is waiting for him just for it to not be the case. He goes to school again, for this day his professor for psychology announced the class will be going for a trip to an island off the coast of Foolshope. Samuel lights up, his professor notices his face.
"Have something to say Mr. Gaia? Perhaps you would like to lead the class during this endeavor?" Samuel gets embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'll do it". He said while nodding his head.
"Very well, the trip will happen this weekend, please prepare your belongings take what you need such as, clothes, we will be at Yume Island for three days, food, they have food for us over there as well, and an optional swimsuit if you feel the need to swim in that wretched ocean" The professor said as it was obvious he doesn't like the sea too much.
"Wait, you're afraid of the ocean professor?" one student asked while smirking.
"It is not of relevance, I just happen to not know how to swim is all." He acts witty.
The classroom laughs at him and the bell rings simultaneously, and the professor leaves immediately.
The students talk to one other as if this trip is for leisure be that as it may, for Samuel he knew this day would come.
Days pass... until the day of the boarding on the boat to the island. Samuel has his belongings, as he walks with his friends and the rest of the class, they meet up with the professor who is still wearing his suit and tie he always wears to school.
"Good morning everyone! Well it's actually almost the afternoon but, meh, it matters not, I would like you all to meet the captain of the ship. Captain..." He stops and tries to remember with all of his might what the name of the captain was, after all they were there getting the ship ready since 6 o'clock in the morning.
"We've been together for nearly 6 hours and you forgot my name?" The captain said with one eyebrow up looking at the professor in disappointment.

"I am so sorry, what can I do for you to forgive me?" He pleads.
"You can let me run this show ok?" The captain shouted with confidence looking at the students. "This is my ship, my rules, you see I don't really care what you say on my ship however, I do care for what you DO on my ship." He glares at each individual student and looks at Samuel who is not even focusing on the Captain. Samuel was staring out into the sea as the Captain was giving out rules and guidelines.
"You." The Captain said. "What are you looking at?" The captain notices a few nimbus clouds in the distance, west from where they were going. "Hmph, you got a good eye kiddo, hey professor you picked a good frontman! Is he the best in your class right now?"
"He is as he is, he does not talk too much be he is self-sufficient, he has the best overall test scores across the board and the behavior to back it up, a perfect student if you will." He says with pride.
The students all board the ship and proceed to prepare for the ride to the island. Samuel quickly stores his belongings in his lockbox and continues out the ship. He looks over the edge of the boat as it pulls out of the docks, the island is just a few miles out east, it should take less than an hour to get there. Samuel looks over at where the nimbus clouds were and he sees nothing. The area in which the nimbus clouds were are now filled with clear blue skies shining down rays of light. Samuel asks the Captain what happened to the clouds.
"I, don't know, my guess is that they precipitated all of what they had in the area. Nimbus clouds travel somewhat fast, if they were to beat us to the island this whole trip would have been cancelled. You're lucky that wasn't the case." The Captain stated.
Samuel looks over the edge of the ship once more and recalls to himself at the altar that morning.
"I pray that this day will be like no other, father, mother, please watch over me as you are now." Samuel releases his hands and stares at the clouds as it begins to pour rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain. Rain.
Samuel feels a drop of rain hit his nose. He feels it. He looks above himself and sees nothing but the darkest of clouds out of the clear blue skies they once were. During this realization, the Captain had received a call from the command center calling for all ships Eastbound of Athos to return back.
"Attention all seamen of the Coast of Foolshope! Return to the docks now! This is an order by command!"
Samuels eyes open up his eyes, a wave of water comes crashing down onto him and the passengers of the ship. Everyone panics. Chaos ensues and the students are heading to the lifeboats but for some...
"Help me!" a man yelled. "Help!" another girl yelled. "Somebody please help!" another man yelled. Students of the class are being swept away by the sudden storm and Samuel is frozen in time. He knows what to do. He gets back up from the ground and helps the people from the water.
"All that's left is..." He is interrupted. "Help please, Samuel!"
Samuel looks over and Michelle, from his circle of friends, is trapped underneath one of the containers for the ships equipment. He widens his eyes and starts helping her out, he tries lifting the equipment but he cant do it by himself. He looks around for someone to help him out but no one is around. He realizes now that he is doing this for himself. He has no gain from this. All he wanted to do was go to the world that is waiting for him. He looks up into the sky as he grips Michelle's hands one last time.
"PLEASE GOD SAVE US. FREE US. FREE ME!" He exclaimed into the dark skies above him.
He lunges out from where Michelle was, Michelle is caught by the professor who was coming back after a headcount of all of his students.
"Michelle! Are you okay!?" He had to shout as the sound of thunder and lightning is heard across the sky. She nods only to realize that she is the only one left. "Where is Samuel? Have you seen him around?" He shouts once more.
She tells him. Samuel, after he got Michelle out, was swallowed by another wave that was coming. The professor shakes his head in denial as he holds back his tears. He blames himself for not coming back up to help sooner.
"Where am I...?"
Samuel drifts across the ocean in his lifeless body with a ringing sound by the end of his journey, he hears.
