“Do I know you?” asked Damon while struggling to break free from his bonds.
“It seems like you’ve forgotten, it was a long time ago after all. I feel sorry for your parents that sadly died when you were little.” spoke the man in a gentle voice that didn’t match his appearance.
Damon’s anger flared once again at what he thought was a mocking comment towards his parents. A man he barely knows suddenly kidnaps him and starts talking about his parents. One could not imagine how insulated Damon felt at that moment..
“Don’t you dare talk about my parents like that. I don’t even know you so just let me go,” said Damon while trying to keep his composure.
“Oh, you may not know me, but I clearly remember you,” said the man with a creepy grin on his face.
“I don’t care, just let me go. I swear I won’t tell anyone about this encounter, so unbound me.”
The man looked carefully at Damon before he flicked his finger. One of the men standing to the side walked up to him and landed a blow on his chest. This caused Damon to topple over onto his side and start wheezing in pain.
“I don’t think you understand the situation Damon. We are in control right now, and you can’t do a thing. We decide whether you live or die, so act nicely or else,” advised the man sitting on the chair.
Damon had no choice to comply, so he sat still waiting for his abductor to talk. Contrary to his expectations, he didn’t say anything else, but took action instead. He motioned once again for the men standing against the walls to start moving. Some people hauled Damon onto their backs, still tied up, and started moving once again.
The walls were getting brighter and brighter the more steps they took. The passage started to widen out as well.
Is this a second exit from the cave? This must be where they came in from. DAMN, how do I get out of this situation now, especially when there is no one nearby?!
Damon was complaining over and over again in his head about the unlucky situation it was in. Worst case scenario, they would kill him, but that hadn’t happened yet. This let Damon to believe that there was someone else that had ordered them to deliver Damon to the hirer.
Suddenly, they arrived in a largely lit room, with a ceiling even higher up than the one Damon arrived in. There were no other exits that could be seen on the walls, the only way out was the passage they just came through. There were many murmurs of confusion before the leader spoke out.

“We must have made a wrong turn, everybody move back! We don’t have much time left, so make it outside to the trucks as quickly as you can!” ordered the man Damon had vaguely recognized.
As everyone was moving backwards with Damon on their backs, a loud sound was made.
THUD!
A wall had appeared out of nowhere, blocking the group’s movement through the tunnel.
A ripple of panic went around through the men, because their only escape route had been blocked by a mysterious force.
[If you want to live, drop the boy and leave. Otherwise, you will suffer a painful death.]
Everyone heard the voice, but they didn’t know what to do. The only one that even had an idea of what was happening was stunned, because he recognized the voice.
It’s the same voice from earlier! I don’t know if I should be relieved or scared right now.
Damon was feeling a mix of joy and fear at the same time. On one hand, the being from before seemed like it wanted to save Damon, but on the other hand, he was afraid of what would transpire after his kidnappers were scared away..
“What should we do boss?”
There were many voices that asked the same question, and finally, an answer was given.
“Drop the boy and get the hell out of here,” stammered the leader, while being the first one to run towards the exit. The wall from before had disappeared, and allowed passage through. The commander wasn’t dumb, he knew when it was a smart choice and when it was just plain stupid. If someone who had the power to create walls, and amplify their voice at will was about to start a fight with him, he would gladly run away. He didn’t have a death wish after all.
Slowly, one by one, the men in black trickled away outside of the large area Damon found himself in. There was no one left inside of the room except for Damon, who was still bound. A large concentration of light appeared out of thin air in front of Damon. A small female-like figure could be spotted in the middle of the light, but there was one thing that didn’t fit with regular humans. A large pair of feathery wings, resembling that of an angel’s, was attached to the being’s back.
It really is the person from before isn’t it.
Damon couldn’t even be anxious about the coming events, because he was in awe at the beauty of the being. “It” had a tiny body, like that of a young girl’s, that at one glance could be labeled as underdeveloped. There was short, golden hair on her head, and she also had pale, smooth arms and legs. The reason he was in awe was not because of her looks though, it was the majestic pair of white, feathery wings. He admired them for a few seconds before he realized something about the girl. She was about the size of Damon’s head.
Why is she so tiny? Also, how could that little body perform those incredible feats from before? It just doesn't make sense!
Damon didn’t care about that though. The most important thing was that he was saved from his impending doom! He was still alive, and his body was functioning properly! He moved his arms and legs the moment the ropes were removed by the girl.
[Hey, don’t focus on your body condition right now, I got stuff to talk to you about!]
The miniature sized girl puffed out her cheeks in a cute manner as she moved even closer to Damon’s face.
[I am a fairy, and I have come to bless you with a wonderful gift!]
Damon understood more about the size of the girl, as she got straight to the point of their encounter. He listened carefully to the words of his saviour.
[I hate all the formalities and stuff, so like, here’s your gift, blah blah blah. Figure it out yourself. I got a party I got to get to, see ya! ]
The fairy waved her hands, and light surrounded Damon’s body. His body was undergoing a fundamental change, and at the same time, the fairy was slowly starting to fade away. With a POOF, the fairy was gone and the room was empty once again.
That was quick, I should meet back up with my class as soon as possible. Before that though…
Damon was looking at the words that had appeared in front of him the moment the feeling of his body changing had left. It seemed like he had successfully received the gift he had been granted by the mysterious being known as a fairy.
Damon started smiling as he started listening to the words being played directly into his brain.
