Monday's Alarm
BUZZ! BUZZ!!
Captain Monday's 9:00 AM alarm clock buzzed loudly on the wooden end table. He'd turned off the incessant screaming — or rather he'd put the phone in "silent mode" so calls, texts, alarms, et cetera would all be easily ignored — but he was unable to find how to get rid of the alarms that Wednesday had put on his phone.
BUZZ!!! BUZZ!!!!
He reached over and smacked the snooze. "Getting up is Nine-o-Five Monday's problem", he thought.

9:57 AM
"Sir?" Wednesday said. There was a knock at the door.
"Isn't that supposed to be the other way round?" Monday asked. "Knock, then enter?"
"It is, sir. I knocked first and then again after," he said and placed a styrofoam cup of black coffee on Monday's desk.
"It's too damned early," Monday said as he slid his legs off the sofa.
"Out late?"
"No. The tenants below once again had some sort of party."
"I'll put in another complaint with the building manager."
Monday's eyes burned, his head hurt, his cape needed laundering, and at that moment, he hated Wednesday. "Sure."
"Meeting in..." Wednesday looked at his watch, "one minute."
Monday dragged himself from sitting on the stiff cushion to sitting on the stiff office chair and cleared his throat. "Yeah."
As Wednesday started towards the door, Monday called to him, "When are the blinds coming in?"
"I'll check with Friday. I think I tasked him with ordering those."
Monday sighed. He knew tasks sent to Friday almost never got completed.
"The meeting is starting now," Wednesday said and closed the door behind him.
