( Emperor Augustus Alocia – Emperor of the Alocian empire.)
“It is clear that heretics of the highest order are now loose in the city! You must allow us to deploy the paladins to root out this vile taint from the city!” A pudgy clergyman of the church of light spouted, he was the high bishop of Ymros so it wasn’t a surprise he wanted to let his paladin’s loose. The problem was the man’s definition of heretic which made the emperor stay his hand. He didn’t want anyone worshipping anyone of the nature pantheon nor the pantheon of the sands to even step foot in the city. He’d most likely say he was purging the filth from the streets and would just massacre his people. Or at least that was what he figured was the outlook of many of the clergy of most churches.
Augustus had to wonder why such a slightly unhinged man was given such a position of power in Ymros’s church. “Please my Emperor this is vital. The creatures described were clearly void touched this is a serious threat to the safety of not just Veta but the entire Empire!” The high priestess of Aona added in for herself.
After Felix’s story he’d begun to notice the more subtler means that the church of Aona manipulated his people. It had made him wary of the clergy as a whole, Felix’s story wasn’t the first he’d heard. Many had been screwed over by the machinations of the gods and they were known to be fickle at times.
The audience hall was large, easily able to serve as a medium sized ball room that was large enough with members of the nobility, the representatives of the various clergy’s, military commanders and the influential members of society all inside it. He looked at his watch and grimaced internally, he was sure this was Felix’s work but the man was five minutes late and the clergy had started without prompting.
A commotion just outside the attendance hall silenced everyone. At first it is muffled but then the voice of the attendant that announced those that had arrived could be heard. “Please sir, this is an important event, how did you even get here? What is that? Oh? I’m sorry sir let me announce you!” Augustus raised an eyebrow as the doors opened and Felix walked into the room. That amused smirk on his lips as he walked past the attendant.
“May I announce Baron -” The attendant began before suddenly loosing his voice when Felix raised a finger into the air and shook his head. A look of horror comes over the attendants face before he almost runs out of the room.
“I’m no one important so don’t mind me.” Felix then said with his smirk turning to a thin grin as he noted the pudgy high bishop and then walked calmly and carefully towards the throne on a raised dais at the end of the room. Augustus’s eyebrows begin to rise the closer Felix approached, how he moved was nothing like the graceful near predatory manner he did last time. The hairs on the back of Augustus’s neck began to rise as he realized his instincts were screaming at him that he’s nothing more than prey before the predator that Felix had become.
The elfs heightened stature was second to be noted as he towered over most of those in the room now. Even his features indicated to the nature of his kind. Near draconic superiority radiated from him as he came to the dais and bowed. It wasn’t a bow of subservience it was a bow of respect between equals. Augustus swallowed a little before Felix spoke.
“I’m afraid I must report that the black market you tasked me to investigate has been burned to the ground with any still left there dead at the hands of Voidborn. They have been dealt with and the cavern housing the black market has been made to collapse to prevent any lingering taint from the voidborn to escape.” He reported in a smooth voice with a pleasant rumbling undertone before smiling up at Augustus. Then he noticed the change to his ears and he gave Felix a suspicious look of curiosity.
“What happened to you? You weren’t quite like this when last we met.” He said with slight amusement himself noting the playful glint appearing in Felix’s eye.
Felix raises an eyebrow before he brought a hand to what Augustus thought of as bone along the upper edge of his ear. “Ah this? Well it happened after I killed a...” He paused and a look of regret came over his face for a split second. “Dragon. Might have something about being a dragon slayer that might have changed my body.” He said with a slight smile.
That seemed to break the silence of the others and the Bishop began blustering. “What is this nonsense! You aren’t even level one hundred and the only dragon near here would require a regiment of level one hundred to take down!” He begins and as Felix looked over to him before visibly becoming bored and begin fingering the air with slight frown the bishop grew angry.
“What’s more who are you?! You wouldn’t even grant the common courtesy of announcing yourself when you walked into this place!” The bishop continued his tie raid, his face reddening more and more at the clear lack of respect for the man Felix displayed.
“And you dare to not kneel before the emperor either!” One of the military commanders continued, coming to the bishops side. It was a commander that was more often than not on the side of one of the noble factions rather than the empire as a whole. If the man wasn’t so entrenched in his position thanks to his allies he’d have been let go a long time ago.
He pointed at the ground between Felix’s feet and yelled. “Kneel before the emperor!” Now Felix looked like he was paying attention though his finger looked like it was pressing against the air then as it moved Augustus widened his eyes as he saw a small ripple in the air from the fingers passing.
“I bow to those I respect but I won’t kneel to anyone.” Felix said, a slight harshness coming to his tone. His eye narrowed slightly at the commander. “I am not of this empire and while I deeply respect your emperor I do not owe him my fealty. Unlike yourself.” He said calmly, calmer than Augustus’s initial impression of Felix would suggest, but the tone was slightly dangerous as well.
“Raising your voice and blustering like a courting peacock in his presence isn’t showing him the respect he’s due from one of his commanders. Wouldn’t you agree… Bishop?” Felix said staring the commander down before flitting his gaze to the Bishop now crimson red in his face.
“You bastard!” The commander roars and charged Felix who sighed. With a raised hand the man stops in his tracks, though Felix’s face becomes a bit strained. Then he pointed down and the commander fell to his knees.
“Knowing who you are talking to is also a very good survival tactic for vermin. Now normally your head would be going out that window but seeing as this is a civilised meeting I won’t rip your head from your body and if you need a further demonstration to behave... here.” Felix said annoyance dripping from his tone as he stopped holding the commander in place before flicking his finger to the side and he flew back to stand once more next to the Bishop, like he hadn’t even moved in the first place.
The room was quite silent once more after that and Felix took the opportunity to pull out a paper envelope from the inside pocket of his robes. “Ah Right I forgot to hand you the report on my investigation.” He said and the envelope floated over to Augustus’s waiting hand. “I found some noblemen’s guard uniforms among the dead but no way to identify which houses they might belong to. It turns out that the troll put on display there was such a crime against life itself that once it was unleashed, a voidborn manifested among the crowd.” He said and his smile grew impish when a few of the nobles grumbled a bit amongst themselves.
The emperor figured that in the envelope would be the names of those nobles present there despite being reported that they couldn’t be identified.
“And the voidborn, how was it dealt with?” Augustus asked looking at Felix wondering just what he was planning.
“It was banished back into the void and any void touched were put to the sword and torch. I burned the entirety of the underground city to be sure along with any treasure it might contain before collapsing the cave to be doubly sure.” He said almost nonchalantly before accepting a drink thankfully from one of the serving staff making the rounds in the room, all of whom were trusted and sworn to secrecy and to the crown.
“What sort of reaction is that?” One of the nobles asked almost indignant. “Why burn all of it and then collapse the cavern? For all we know you confiscated the treasures you found and aren’t telling us about it. And who are you?!” Many of the other nobles took up the sentiment, not raising their voices beyond what was deemed respectable however as they clamoured for answers.
Augustus had to admit that perhaps a bit of the tough manner Felix had chastised the commander might put some of these unruly nobles in their place. A public spanking for those that get too out of line? He mused on that for a bit before looking over to Felix who was content to sip on his drink and not listen to their complaints.
Then he looked over to Augustus and the look in his eye showed that it is up to him if he wanted Felix’s name to be known. He thought for a few long moments while the nobles barely kept themselves in check.
“This is the Baron, a representative of the night court and the pantheon of death, that is all you have to know about him. He is here simply as a favour to someone of my past linage.” He said after raising his hand to silence the room.
“What? The night court?! You mean he’s a filthy undead?!” The Bishop blustered and sent his gaze with zealous fury shining in his eyes. “He should be burned!”
Felix stopped enjoying his drink and looked over to the Bishop. “You don’t even know what I am and yet you accuse me of being undead because I’m connected to the pantheon of death and the night court?” He said almost in the manner someone rather angry at a child yet didn’t wish to really show it would speak.
“I guess you will need a bit of proof then.” He said and seemed about to loosen the belt around his robes midsection but stopped. His eye showing he had a better idea to showcase what he wanted and looked over to Augustus. “Emperor Alocia, remember my lesson on aura protection?” He asked nonchalantly.
Augustus nodded and he smiled kindly. “Please exercise that now please, I’d rather not the releasing of my aura have any effect on you.” He said and waited as Augustus did as he was asked, gathering his mana into a thin layer around his skin and hardening it bit by bit in his mind.
When he was done Felix let out a soft exhale and a tidal wave hit the room, the defences Augustus had put up rattling and cracking from the pressure Felix gave off himself.
Letting just a small crack open so he could feel what his audience was feeling he gasped. His lungs felt empty and screaming for more air while icy claws tugged at his very being, trying to get into his body through his mouth. Then there was the pressure on his very being causing his innards to grow cold while his skin and outer body felt almost like it was on fire.
It was no wonder most of them were writhing on the floor, even those in the level one hundred and fifties were affected. They at least stayed standing.
Then Felix breathed in and just like that it was over as suddenly as it had appeared. Felix wobbled a bit on his feet but righted himself before anyone noticed as the rest was picking themselves up.
“Now, am I undead?” Felix asked in an amused tone as he turned to look at the panting Bishop. The sneer on Felix’s face wasn’t friendly though and the sweaty out of breath clergyman could clearly see it.
The Bishop nervously shook his head. “Nothing dead could give off such an aura but… neither could anything alive for that matter.” He said and his eyes now showed unease.
Felix scoffed a little and sucked his teeth. “As a favourite passage of mine goes. That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.” He said with a complicated expression on his face.
“What does that even mean?!” The high priestess of Aona cried as she looked at Felix with bewilderment not that he could blame her. The passage really didn’t make much sense to him. Augustus was starting to think Felix had four major effects on people, fear, unease, bewilderment and the fourth which Augustus was finding to be was amusement. He hadn’t seen his court this riled up in a decade, not since he’d fought and won a war. Now some of the more unruly nobles almost looked like well trained dogs to him, ready to jump at any barked command at them. The emperor would be roaring with laughter if he wasn’t so delighted and unwilling to ruin the atmosphere Felix had built for the others.
Felix sighed and began to rub the bridge of his nose, he muttered something about zealots and thick headedness. “I am a...” He paused rubbing his chin in thought. “being outside death. If you kill me I’ll just come back pissed off after some time. However speaking of death it does make me wonder at the reason for the voidborn to manifest here of all places. Perhaps it was after something here?” He paused again and looked directly at a spot above the priestesses right shoulder and spoke again. “Or someone?”
The high priestess gasped and looked as if she’d been struck, Felix only sucked his teeth in annoyance. Augustus got a hunch and almost smiled at the thought. He noticed the slacked jawed expressions on some of the nobles as they stared at Felix. While revealing little about himself, he did reveal something about himself that would grant him protection outside the agreement he and Felix had arranged.
Plotters would hesitate when dealing with such a wild variable. Not to mention for many it would halt them from doing anything drastic, if all it’ll do is make the target angry at them in the end no matter the success or not. Denying them his name would also shroud him in even more mystery which would stay their hands even further.
The high priestess almost shrieked then as she pointed at Felix, all composure gone. “Who are you?! Did you just threaten Aona herself?!” She asked angrily and Augustus’s hunch seemed to have been correct if what was above the priestesses shoulder had been some guardian angel or something.
“Threaten Aona?” Felix said and a hard and near animalistic growl had replaced the pleasant rumbling under his voice as he looked at the priestess. “I doubt I have anything to fear from a fallen goddess. Besides she should be on her knees before me grovelling for forgiveness after what she’s done.” He said clear restrained anger in his voice now as he stared the priestess down like she was a petulant child speaking back to her father.

“That bitch kick started the apocalypse thanks to her actions. The Voidborn are here for her! For the insult she's dealt them for the last thousand years has made them angry and they want her head. The only problem is we are in their way, what do you think the voidborn do to obstacles in their path?” He growled at the woman and her eyes went wide.
“Wh-wha? What are you talking about?!” She asked and Augustus also wondered the same. What exactly was Felix planning with this stunt? A diversion perhaps, have Aona look at him while something else happened?
“Who do you think rules the voidborn?” He asked and when everyone else in the room took a step back from him he sighs almost dramatically. “I’m not the ruler of the voidborn you mentally deficient monkeys!” He groaned in exacerbation. “A god is required to be their ruler, because they are the other side of the four powers.” He said before creating a mana image in a circle with him in the middle. The top had angles swooping down in majestic flight while the bottom had clawing demons and devils reaching up at the middle. On the left were elementals and such creatures like dryads and treants and the many differing verity of such elemental creatures. Then on the right was a hodgepodge of limbs, claws, maws, tentacles and eyes clawing with a smattering of undead mixed in all reaching for Felix with a black backdrop.
“Order has angels.” He pointed up.
“Chaos has demons.” He pointed down.
“Structure and life has the elementals and nature.” He pointed left.
“And finally entropy, death and the void have the undead and the voidborn.” He said finally pointing to his right.
He waited for a few moments to let it sink in but much like Augustus himself sees, neither appeared to see a hint of recognition on their faces. Felix turned around and gave Augustus a stare that could only really say one thing. How do you work with these people?!
“The void strider is their ruler.” He just exhaled the answer and shook his head. “Aona murdered him a thousand years ago without provocation and has been killing off any of his offspring or descendants for the past thousand years. Now do you see why the Voidborn are rather unhappy with Aona?” Felix then just spoke like he was speaking to a bunch of drooling children, a fact many of the nobles seemed to notice and began to look indignant at the insinuation.
“Then what does that make you if Aona, a goddess, is to grovel to you?!” The red faced bishop then screamed almost as he apparently couldn’t take the disrespect any more despite the rather clear warning last time.
“Oh that’s simple really.” Felix said with a sly grin as he pressed his hand to the air and ripped it right open. Augustus just stared in fascination as Felix reached into the tear in the air and pulled out a small wiggling creature. A creature that was like a small combination of the upper torso of a man, the tentacles of a squid or octopus for a lower body and a horrible misshapen rabbit head, all of which was covered in a type of slimy skin that made it seem like it’s muscles were exposed to the air as it screamed with a horrific haunting noise. Then it was promptly thrown right back in with a look of disgust from Felix and the tear summarily closed.
A few moments later after Felix was done grimacing and gotten the slime off his hand he looked over at the Bishop with a wide toothy, and clearly fanged, smile. “I’m a middle man of sorts. You could say. The voidborn you’ve met so far have been the...” He paused now.
He stared unblinkingly at the Bishop while twirling his hand a bit as if reaching for the words to use. “Ah that’s right they’ve been the animals. None of the sentient Voidborn have ever crossed over from their little corner of reality into this one. So pray they never do.” He said with a smile as the Bishop began to make a rather convincing rendition of a boiling mad fish just opening and closing his mouth.
“You heretic!” He then screamed and Felix looked bored again as he walked away from the hopping mad man to a nearby window. “You should be burned at the stake for this blasphemy! Communing with the void is the work of cultists and mad men!” He roared and almost sicked his two paladins at Felix who opened the window to allow a pair of ravens to come flying in and land on his shoulders.
“Burn the witch for she knows unknown things.” Felix began in a mocking tone of the Bishops own. “Those cultists are communing with powers rivalling our gods, they must be stopped. Ahh!” Augustus now just thought Felix was rubbing it in, doing every thing he could to get under the bishops skin.
“You humans and your fear of the unknown.” Felix then sighed as he gestured and a blue construct of mana created itself to the side that took the shape of a twin bird perch for the ravens on his shoulders. The room went silent again at the display of magic they didn’t even think possible.
“If you need a god to be verifying me then fine. I work with a god.” Felix said almost stomping up to the Bishop. “Several in fact but that isn’t the real problem here is it? You just want to know if your gods dick is bigger than mine? Isn’t that what it all boils down to? Hmm?” He asked mockingly and Augustus was now just dumbfounded and bewildered over what Felix is doing.
The Bishop started, then stopped, did it again and then just went quiet while looking like he was seething in anger. The Paladins standing behind the Bishop almost reached for their swords in outrage but stopped when Felix simply snorted and moved away.
“If you all think I’m insolent then take a good look at yourselves.” He said while gesturing at all of the others in the room who now had no idea about what was going on. “If I was a patient and fair man I’d be able to sit there and tolerate this buffoonery that has transpired here with ease.” Felix then began and pointed at Augustus.
“He has sat there weathering your disrespect and lack of discipline for how many years now? I walked into this room and I gave none of you respect because none of you gave me any in return. No, you demanded my respect without giving any in return! How much respect do you think the Emperor has lost for all of you with your antics? Your demands to the crown for things that aren’t even yours to demand in the first place? How many times have you wasted his time just to buy time or muddle something going on just to get a little bit more out of it all for yourselves instead of serving the Emperor and this empire as you are duty and honour bound to do?”
Felix now glared at the people who seemed chastised by his words, if not his intimidating tone. “Emperor Alocia, Might I suggest an end to this meeting as I’m sure we all have quite a lot to think about?” Felix then asked as he respectfully bowed to Augustus who almost smirked wryly at the theatrics.
He nodded simply. “I’m certain we’d all like cooler heads to prevail and since you’ve already handled the mater of this meeting then I see no point in continuing it further. We all have important things to do and our time is served better than in a redundant meeting.” He said calmly and in a friendly manner and watched as the people began to file away.
The religious people all glaring hatefully at Felix who stood near the base of the dais with a playful smirk at them in return.
Once everyone was out besides Augustus, his guards and Felix he sighed and looked at Felix. “Was that really necessary?” He asked with a tired tone.
“Absolutely… at least in my opinion. I don’t give respect to someone who dismisses me out of hand or doesn’t reciprocate my own respect back. I’m also rather sure you’ve been holding in laughter this whole time. Did I perhaps do a few things you’d have liked to do yourself?” Felix asked with a toothy grin and a sly tone.
Augustus laughed. “I’d have thrown them out the window if I could get away with it.” He chuckled before standing up from his throne and gesturing for Felix to come with him to a more private place to speak. Felix’s ravens fluttering over to his shoulders as he began to walk out of the room.
“So tell me what happened and how much of what you just said is bullshit.” Augustus asked a grinning Felix.
“The part about the Voidborn was though I’ve yet to meet any of the sentient one’s yet. Perhaps later down the line?” Felix wondered aloud after his admission. At the raised eyebrow he smirked and went into the tale of his travels and what truly happened in the black market shanty town culminating in him collapsing the cavern.
At the end of the tale Augustus had leaned back into his chair and was staring at Felix. “You’re what? A demigod now?” Augustus asked almost incredulously as what he was hearing was rather hard to believe.
“Don’t you think your story is getting just a bit ridiculous at this point?” He then asked almost a little annoyed at this point.
“And you think I don’t know that?” Felix answered with a question of his own. “I lost my guaranteed immortality and in return I just have to really want to come back or be pissed off enough to come back now if that’s even how it works.” He said as he sighed and the look came over his face.
It was an expression Augustus knew all too well. It as the look of a soldier tired of the fighting, the blood and the pain. The look of a man that just wanted to go to sleep and didn’t much care if he never woke up again. Then Felix’s face hardened and the other look that had made him decided to take a chance on this strange man.
The look of someone so weary of the world yet was stuck in a situation were if he didn’t do what he needed to do, then who else would? If Felix’s story was to be believed then he was in the unique situation that if his revenge on Aona was ever to come to fruition then he stood the best chance of doing so. However the thought of this man turning into a god also gave Augustus a bad feeling, like they would only trade one lesser evil for either a greater one or something so apathetic towards mortals it just might as well be the greater evil.
Felix sighed again and rubbed at the sides of his head in soft fingering massages before combing his fingers through his now rather long hair. “I’m honestly scared right now.” He said softly before he looked up at Augustus. “I am terrified that I’ll become something that makes me lose who I am in the end. I have no clue on what it means to be Voidborn even though I have this hunch suddenly in my head about some aspects of their society.” He said and then slumped back into his seat defeated.
“The thing is though… Void strider wasn’t known under the title of sovereign of the void. I feel that now but if he wasn’t then what the hell did I just become the heir of?” The actual dread on Felix’s face showed Augustus a new side of Felix.
Before he’d been like a cornered animal lashing out at any threat the world might present it but now that his soul had healed and that state was lifted? He was sitting there clear to the world as a man driven by vengeance into a situation well over his head.
“Not to mention it’s barely been two months now since my second rebirth as it were and I’m stronger than most level one hundreds while just about at level fifty. I already know the end of this story.” Felix continued and his eye lost its light for a moment as he seemed lost in his own head for a long while.
Augustus used the time to process and digest all that he’d been told. If it was any other fresh level one that achieved the same growth in the same amount of time as Felix had, Augustus would have scoffed. It was possible to have such explosive growth but that usually took six or so months not just about two. He supposed giving an experienced man at about level two hundred a better body to start over, it could work. There were precedents like this of course but those were usually the reborn heroes of legend.
Both men knew full well Felix wasn’t a hero of legend despite his former life being portrayed as that. “You’ll need to stay firm in who you are then.” Augustus said giving the only advice he thought was actually appropriate to the situation.
Felix just gave a smile without mirth and sighed. “I’ll have to do this anyway but here.” He said and took out a ledger from his storage ring along with a few envelopes. “You should look at what Ashes and Dust found out for me while I was away.” Felix said as he placed the ledger and envelopes down on the table.
By the time Augustus was done going through both the ledger and envelopes he was boiling with fury. To think the man he’d entrusted with the funds of the royal academy had been embezzling almost an eight of the annual budget every year so skilfully. Not only that but he’d used his position to gain dirt on noble houses and used that to blackmail them with it.
Then there were the man’s proclivities towards children and that had made him sick. He looked over to Felix and the look in the man’s eye told him that whatever punishment Augustus could come up with for the man would be like a vacation to the torments Felix wanted to visit upon the man.
“I suggest you handle his judgement. Mine will just be… very public and very… very messy.” Felix said before he looked down. “I’d rather not cause a horror fuelled mass panic.” He then added in with a self-deprecating chuckle.
“I will.” Augustus said nodding firmly, then a few long moments of silence followed before he spoke again. “I guess you might have a recommendation to fill this role?” He then asked wondering if Felix had something up his sleeve.
“I do actually, that elven ambassador, Saleh Keakian. I’ve come to an understanding with him I think, but I think it’ll be better to keep an eye on him for now. Friends close, enemies closer sort of deal.” Felix replied as he appeared to relax a bit more into his chair and began to manipulate the ambient mana in the air around his finger. Augustus thought on the expression Felix had said and found he liked it as it could very easily be applied to some of the more dangerous nobles that just wanted more for themselves.
Then Augustus’s mind went blank when a blast of power exploded from Felix who was wide-eyed himself. The blast of power was like the aura release Felix had done at the attendance but it had a slightly added weight to it. Felix had told him he’d burned a third of his mana to increase the aura to that strength and this was like he’d added a handful of mana more to it. Augustus had forgotten to take down his aura protection and he felt how it swayed just a little to put the tiniest of pressure on his skin before the aura was drawn right back into Felix.
He just sat there with a glazed look in his wide eye, an expression of surprise stuck on his face. The glazed look was one many knew. It was the look many had when looking through knowledge or the summary of themselves gifted to all living beings by the nameless creator god.
One of the doors burst open and knight commander Dunleavy rushed in holding onto a sword and looked around frantically. Seeing Augustus staring at Felix who looked surprised but with a glazed look over his face made the man halt a little and stare himself. Then he looked over at Augustus who simply made a gesture of not knowing.
Then Felix exploded into movement as a pile of books was pulled from his ring and he began to read intently. Flipping through the books all written in a language neither the emperor nor knight commander could read at all. For the next half hour the room was silent while the emperor took the suddenly leisurely mood that the room had taken on to finish some of his paperwork with Theodore’s help while Felix was stuck flipping and reading through the small pile of books he’d taken out.
Then Felix broke the silence. “Augustus… Theodore can I see your palms?” He said as he looked up from his book at the two men in the middle of some paperwork.
The two men looked at one another and then reached out with their palms to Felix. Again he swirled his finger in the air as he manipulated the mana in the air before placing his finger in the centre of their palms one after the other. A surge of energy ran through both men and they were panting for a second after the surging energy had calmed down within both men.
“What in the hells was that?!” Theodore almost shouted as he stared from his palm over to Felix who was now grinning like a madman.
“Potential.” Felix answered cryptically with a wide smile on his lips.
“Felix, what did you do?” Augustus decided to take the calmer route instead of Theodore’s way before they noted the rather furious rustling behind Felix. Then Augustus noticed that Felix’s ravens had fallen off when the aura blasted out of him and had been hanging upside down off the chair’s back this entire time.
Reaching behind himself Felix pulled both the rather flustered ravens back up and set them down on the armrests of his chair. “A theory of mine was just disproven. I had originally thought that Mana was the strongest version of magical energy in this world but...” He paused and raised his hand up and a tiny little speck of pure colourless light came out of his palm.
“This is what I call chi. It is the combination of the natural energy a soul produces and mana that when combined become this. Endless potential in the palm of my hand. What just happened was… strange. I managed to create this piece of chi just this morning and it has been swimming in my body until now. Then it decided to incorporate into me. I’ve created and given the two of you a similar amount.” He said with a smile.
“What? What’s going to happen?” Theodore asked a little uneasy now.
Felix’s smile grew a little more. “The possibilities are endless but it won’t be anything bad. It’ll make you the best version of you if any of these books are to be believed. I won’t experiment with this energy until I’m certain of it but I felt this should at least give the two of you a slight edge over others of a similar level to yourselves.” He then said with an almost excited tone in his voice.
Augustus only leaned back into his seat and sighed. Apparently he might have invited something rather chaotic into his empire. The only question remained if Felix would be a change for the better or for worse.
