B3, chapter 14 - Meeting the Anomalies pt. 1

She sobbed and hiccupped as the fear gripped her, the steel vice of the grip on her arm only reinforcing the fear. The Goat-like man sneering at her as he dragged her through the dirty alleyways. Roughly handling her to follow him as he giggled to himself at how lucky he was to have found such a good ‘product’.

She couldn’t believe it. A kidnapping in broad daylight. She looked around and met the eyes of a patrolman at the end of the alleyway that intersected into the one she was being dragged down. She reached her hand out towards him but froze as she saw him look over at the man dragging her and then nodding before turning around. Showing her his back and clearly not having any interest in helping her. She screamed, not in fear but in pure unbridled rage at the injustice of it all. That this was allowed to just happen by the bastards pretending to be the upholders of law and justice on the city station she lived in.

The patrolman clearly flinched as if knowing the scream was meant for him, that if she wasn’t powerless she’d have him at her mercy and she’d show him none. It was the last straw after all. She’d done what was expected of her, she’d kept to herself, hadn’t broken any law or rule and yet time after time this type of shit happened. Granted today was the worst by far but she’d had enough.

The Man pulling her along turned to look at her and seemed about to strike her but clearly the enraged madness of the despair of those forced to the bottom by society shining in her eyes made him think better of it. Or perhaps the scumbag didn’t want to ruin the ‘product’.

Either way she didn’t have breath enough in her lungs to continue, her asthma rearing its ugly head and causing her to almost devolve into a panting, gasping mess only held up by her kidnapper.

A loud groan made both look to the side as they passed by two dumpsters and the man smiled extra wide at the sight. There was a woman laying there, dressed in tattered pants and a hoodie a bit to long to be considered a normal hoodie.

The woman’s species was tall as tall as the man but given her appearance being rather reminiscent of the heroic humans she wasn’t exactly sure what she was. Long almost bat-like ears that tapered to a point stuck out from her warm shade of white green hair with strange with pitch black highlights running along the tips of the long hair that pooled around her. Though it was dirtied by the environment she was in.

The man seeing her state and looking back at her to see she still hadn’t recovered from her attack simply gave her that disgusting greedy sneer before pushing her roughly at the dumpster. She grunted as she fell to her feet, having not been even remotely prepared for the action while the man picked the strange woman up and draped her over his shoulder before gripping her roughly once more.

“Hehe, my lucky day~ Two for one.” The man snickered as he continued dragging her along through the winding maze of alleyways that made up much of the city stations internals.

She lost track of were they were and before long she was being half dragged along, half supported by the man as her strength failed her. She was sure she’d seen the same alleyway four or six times and was now rather certain the man was doing this on purpose so she didn’t know where she was.

It irked her that it was working but she didn’t even have the energy to think any more after being dragged along for hours.

She hardly even realized they’d stopped before she heard the metal door slide to the side as they entered through the back of one structure or another. She hardly cared either.

To say she was disillusioned by the world would be an understatement. Over the hours of being dragged along she’d allowed her built up resentment of the unfairness of the world to build. That disgusting individuals like the one roughly dragging her along weren’t taken care of and the ones that were supposed to make sure society functioned or were supposed to uphold its laws were just as corrupt gave rise to rather nihilistic thoughts.

She didn’t even care if anyone burned it to the ground to try again, she’d salt the earth to prevent that if given half a chance. A society built on such a flimsy fucking lie a law and order upheld justly shouldn’t exist. It was a hollow promise that the one who proposed it should have his genitals nailed to a hot plate and made to watch as the heat was turned up and kept on the plate until he’d melted entirely in utter agony.

“Hmm this one’s a rare catch~” The smooth tone of a slimy businessman pulled her out of it and when she graced the speaker with the hollow hateful gaze he seemed unnerved at seeing it. Instead he walked around her and gripped the strange woman’s hair to lift her face up to see made him smirk in that typical smarmy way they did.

“This ones… unique.” He said as his smarmy smirk turned to a predatory smile and with a few snaps of his fingers as more burly men came to receive the two women. “Good job there’s definitely a bonus for this Mirsih.” The Businessman said with the smile still on his face as he handed over a currency chit stick which the goat-like man eagerly accepted.

“Pleasure as always.” The man replied in that typical kiss-ass tone of sycophants. She spat at his face. Both looked at her surprised but only smirked at her loathing look of anger.

“I hope you die screaming.” She growled only for both to simply laugh at her as she was dragged off.

“If the world was just.” The man replied mockingly before turning and leaving the building through the same entrance he’d used to get in.

The man dragging her also chuckled at her statement but didn’t say much at seeing her hollow eyes. She did note that she saw one of them shoot her a sad gaze but shaking it off as they entered a stairway to go down to a basement level.

There she was roughly pushed into what looked like an old style prison cell, with metal bars an everything. She couldn’t help but lightly chuckle. “Too cheap to buy proper cells you scumbags?”

“None of your business.” The thug holding the strange woman grunted as he threw the rather surprisingly heavy woman at her.

She fell down onto the ground hearing the whimpering of other victims of these animals but her mind was more preoccupied by how heavy the woman was. Something else to focus on rather than her circumstance. When her hands took hold of the woman’s arm she realized she was heavy because she was denser than she should be and her size indicated.

‘A heavy worlder?’ She thought as she pushed the woman off of her. A light groan from the woman making her pull the hair from her face and look her over properly for the first time since their happenstance of a meeting.

She looked strong, densely muscled in a way that made her think she might be of the few war-like species that still persisted in the galaxy. The few that understood diplomacy as well rather than those similar to the scourge humanity kept in check.

“That fucking goddess.” The woman groaned and when she finally spoke out loud she realized the strange duality of her voice, like she was also whispering her words at the same time. She watched the woman slowly move to sit up and rub her head as if she’d been drinking the past night away with the heavy stuff.

“That wasn’t fair, playing the mother card like that.” She growled almost as she rubbed at her eyes and she realized that the woman looked as if she’d been crying. Her slightly puffy eyes a clue but when their eyes met her breath froze in the middle of her throat.

The woman’s eyes terrified her. A black pit she felt she could fall into forever filled her eyes while a ring held within it a strange sharp triangle that looked almost like it was composed of blue fire like a stamp over the void of her eyes locked onto hers.

The woman leaned in and sniffed her a little before looking at her with clear curiosity, not the predatory manner of before.

“Why?… no you shouldn’t even know that. Hmm.” The woman said as she slowly got up and combed her hair back before breathing in and out in the same manner she did to calm down. The other women in the cell staring at her wide eyed.

Her height made her think of the Scion caste of humanity with her size and powerful build but the ears, eyes and hair colour made it clear she wasn’t like them. The near claw nails on the sharp fingertips was also a dead give away.

She looked around before frowning before she looked down at herself and her mood grew even sourer at seeing what she was wearing.

“Zak’thul.” She growled as she waved her hand at the cells in a few strange gestures while her shadow began to bubble and roil like some hellish abyssal liquid.

She along with the other women all frantically moved to the corners of the cell as the monster rose from the woman’s shadow. All of them too terrified to even utter a sound as the creature stood even taller than the woman. It’s crown illuminated by the ghostly candle flames atop it.

“My…” The creature began before clearly stopping and hesitating, looking the woman up and down in confusion. “m-mistress?” It then asked cocking its head to the side.

“Take in the scent on me.” The woman commanded and once the creature had hesitantly done the same she continued to command the shadow clad nightmare. “I want you to find the one who’s stench you found if he’s not in this building.”

The creature sniffed a bit in the air and looked over at her, straight at her. Her heart stopped in terror at the skeletal face with blue fire in its sockets that stared into her very soul. “She smells of the same, but also familiar… why?” It asked as it turned back to the woman.

“That’s because you share an energy type. While you are Aether and Mana she on the other hand is a curiosity.” The woman responded with a shrug.

“W-… how so?” It asked deferentially. “And how do I address you?”

“She has both mana and Chi… energies not native to this world. At least I thought so. Anyway this half of me is Kainaat. Zak’thul.” Kainaat replied with a curious smile on her lips as she looked her shivering form up and down with an unknowable glint to her horrifying eyes. When the creature looked at her in clear anticipation she continued.

“Bring the one that brought us here to me, alive. I have no idea were we are but this.” She continued as she pulled out a piece of trash from one of the pockets made her grimace in disgust. “Makes me think I wasn’t sent here originally, that leads me to believe I was picked up and brought here.”

The creature, this Zak’thul, began to chuckle darkly. “If you are anything like Mors they will come to regret it.”

“No they won’t live long enough to.” She replied with disinterest as she waved the creature off and it bowed before sinking back into the shadows. Once it was gone the woman breathed in and snapped her fingers.

The women and herself all gasped in horror as a conflagration of fire with a golden core enveloped her. It only lasted for a few moments but the air noticeably grew fresher somehow and the change to the woman was night and day.

Before she’d looked like some messy teen but now she had on a violet business suit though without the jacket and a light green vest instead. She was adjusting her violet tie and the collar of the white under shirt. She looked over at the women staring at her with a playful smile as she pulled her hair back though considering it somehow reached down to her calf's it was clearly a mess to handle.

“Any of you have a piece of string?” She asked in a friendly manner as she clearly gave up on trying to manage it. She looked at the women and as none of them answered she simply shrugged and looked at her. “So what’s your name little anomaly?” Kainaat asked with a curious smile.

Realizing it would be better to answer this strange… entity she did as she was asked. “I-.. my name is.. Z-Zinna.” She hesitantly answered.

-

She was adorable if I was being honest with myself. A moth girl or rather woman she was clearly a young adult out of her teens but not yet in her species equivalence to her thirties. I’d sat down and using a combination of the few spells to care for the unfortunate women had opened them up to me.

Zinna and the others told me what was going on and quite frankly I was glad my original hunch of the situation had turned out to be right. Zinna had spun a little silk in the end to allow me to tie my hair back as I’d grown rather exacerbated over it’s length. Clearly it had grown for some reason but I couldn’t for the life of me understand why, not that I much cared right now.

I’d kept a more jovial attitude and fed them with a few fruits I’d taken to collecting into my spatial ring for the seeds. They just stared in wonder as I seemingly pulled pristine, delicious fruits out of thin air but inside I was seething.

Once I was sure they had been taken care of and were all right, as much as they could be given the situation, I stood and turned to the old west style bars of our cell. I chuckled and snapped my fingers to dispel the illusion that I’d cast on them to hide my activities since I’d woke up to see the thug, who’d arrived to stand guard, have his eyes bulge in surprise.

“Open the door or I will, you wouldn’t want me to do that though.” I said with a cocky grin and seeing the man clearly not going to comply I sighed. “Mortals.” I groaned in annoyance as I walked over to the bars and bent them out of the way with ease. I did note this was steel but just so old that it wasn’t nearly as strong as it should be but until now it should have sufficed for its intended purpose.

The man was now shaking, some strange species with ridges running from his pointed nose up along his scalp. Kind of like some edgy armadillo person. He was about to run away but before he could move I was on him and holding him against wall before he could move.

“Now little mortal, before you die for daring to try and kidnap a goddess and sell her.” I said with a smile and as our eyes met it was clear he realized I spoke the truth and started to shake. “You are going to tell me everything that happens here and who’s in charge. Do that and I promise you’ll get the chance to reincarnate and not eat your soul.” I spoke in a smiling way at first but hardened and bared my teeth threateningly at the end.

Frankly the man couldn’t nod frantically enough. In the end what I heard gave me some definite mafia yakuza type vibes. Their near strangle hold on not only law enforcement but the usual dickheads in charge made me only groan when I finally snapped the man’s neck and let him fall limply to the ground.

“Should I just wipe the entire station out to be sure?” I wondered aloud as I wiped my hands with a disappointed sigh. I guessed I’d forever be disappointed by the so called sentient races. I guess the rather simple act of working together, being decent people and not screwing one another over was an incredibly difficult idea to realize. It definitely made it hard to believe people were good.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

“Kainaat?” Zinna asked staring from me to the corpse on the ground and back up again. I felt her anger and hurt over the whole situation. I could understand it gently smiled at her.

“Yes?” I asked gently as I stepped away from the corpse.

“What you just said… did you mean it?” She asked and I noticed her trembling and sighed a bit.

“Zinna, would you like a job?” I asked then with a cheeky smirk.

-

She hated the people in the room with every fibre of her being. She turned her glare at the man next to her who only smirked at her knowingly. He’d just admitted to hacking into the stations finances and forced her into debt that should have rightfully belonged to him. If that wasn’t enough he’d then had his friends harass her and hound her to no end, preventing her from getting any job after having her fired from her first one. All so she would have no other choice but to be hired at this lounge of theirs and now they’d all but said she’d be forced into prostitution.

“What's the matter little Sechid?” He asked her but at seeing her eye his neck and the elongation of her fangs he must have realized he’d pushed her far to far. He adjusted himself to move back before they suddenly heard a scream outside the door before a few shots rang out.

They stared at the door and Sechid flinched when the door opened and in walked a woman of a race she’d never seen before. However she looked like those elves that she’d read from some of the human’s fictional novels, her only real refuge of late.

She walked in and whistled happily while closing the door behind her and moving over to the lounges bar. Completely ignoring the crime bosses arrayed in the V.I.P. lounge. One of the men clearly unused to being so ignored and probably not the smartest of the bunch given what they’d just heard happen outside stood up and his face twisted.

“Who the fuck are you?” He asked pointing a finger at the woman who began to pour herself a drink from the bar.

“What do you do with a drunken sailor.” She hummed to herself as she got herself a glass of whiskey. Clearly ignoring the man while finishing up.

“Hey are you deaf or something?!” The man almost yelled as his face twisted even more, given his species it was even uglier than usual.

“Skin his fellows with a rusty razor, skin his fellows with a rusty razor.” She continued to hum as she walked towards them after finishing her task at the bar. Her hips swaying almost seductively but the lyrics she was singing had Sechid sinking into her seat as much as she could.

Having been ignored enough the man walked over and tried to grip the woman’s arm, him being among the few in the room taller and stronger built than her. “Listen here woman!” He growled only he didn’t get to touch her.

Faster than Sechid could blink she’d gripped his arm and twisted it upon itself. The sound of tendons and bone snapping and breaking as his arm was mutilated was haunting to hear.

“A dog should know when not to bark.” She said coldly to the shocked man as she simply continued over and sat on the thigh of the largest, and fatest, member of the room. Reaching into the inner pocket of his suit and pulling out his cigar case.

The room completely still as they watched the man with a mangled arm fall onto his knees and scream. Or rather he appeared to, tears of pain rolling down his cheeks as he looked to be screaming his heart out but not a single sound escaped his throat.

“Now that I have your attention I’m going to explain what the next few minutes will entail given that it is all the time you have left in this world.” The woman started, calmly speaking as she took one of the cigars out while the glass simply hovered in the air next to her.

Taking a moment to scent the cigars she let out a pleased sound. “Good stuff~” She grinned as she snipped the cigar with her claw like fingernails and then placed it into her mouth and took the glass from the air as she stood up again. Taking the man’s cigar case with her and putting it into the inner pocket of the vest she wore.

“Who are you?” One of the men, a psionic leaned forwards, his four eyes narrowing at the woman. All the others appearing to rally themselves as well as their usual haughty and domineering personalities reasserted themselves.

“I’m the one being in this universe you shouldn’t have fucked with.” She said with a smirk of clear amusement as a blue fire sprang to life to light her cigar. Sechid had seen the look she gave the men more times than she’d care to admit, it was similar to how the men around her and the other women they’d forced into this life looked at her. Only this was somehow more intense, to her they weren’t even worth it.

“Oh? And how’s that?” One of the Aethermancers of the crime bosses asked sneering at her as he took his weapon out and pointed it at her.

“I’m one of the women you just had kidnapped and most likely are going to attempt to sell in one way or anther.” She grinned at him. Sechid hadn’t missed the way her voice made the word attempt sound like the biggest joke in the room.

“So your just product… granted pretty strong perhaps we can throw her into the ring? Could be novel.” One of the others said with a chortle.

“You do realize none of you are leaving this room alive right?” The woman asked with a raised eyebrow. “Are all of you useless waste of flesh this stupid or just generally this arrogant?” She asked with clear derision and a pitying look. As if to puncture her claim she moved her free hand over and cracked the silently screaming man’s neck as if it was a toothpick.

That clearly got everyone of their attention and they looked at her with furrowing brows and growing hostility. The perceived joke clearly falling flat on them. The psionic stood and whipped his hand at the woman and threw her bodily across the room with a telekinetic grip to crash into the bar behind her. A silence fell over the room before the psionic started laughing.

“Ha! Just some delusional heavy worlder.” He laughed, the others soon joining him.

The laugher stopped when the woman appeared behind the man and smashed his head open on the table in front of him. “Now You are all going to suffer.” She growled with animalistic rage that had Sechid’s heart in her throat, especially given that she could see the man was still somehow alive if his wide terror and pain filled eyes were anything to go by.

The woman leaned down to whisper into the man's ear but the returned silence made everyone hear it clearly. “I’m going to burn your fucking soul out of you and I won’t let you die until I’m satisfied you’ve suffered enough.” The tone of voice was otherworldly like some demon from hell had arrived as the woman’s face turned from the amused geniality she’d been displaying before to a savage rage as she moved her eyes up to stare at the others in the room.

It was then that she finally registered how her eyes looked and she realized no one this thing in the shape of an elf wasn’t going to let anyone out of this room it didn’t want to leave.

Before anyone could react one of the Aethermancers had his heart ripped out with her bare hands only for the same blue fire that had set her cigar on fire burst out of his eyes. The hollow scream that escaped the corpse before it was devoured by black flames had every one of the victims in the room shiver.

The crime bosses weren’t much better as they finally moved at seeing that. They opened fire with their weapons, those few gifted in some manner with aether or psionic abilities unloaded everything they had on the woman.

None of it mattered. A strike that didn’t kill twisted, mangled or crushed the area or limb struck. Her claws raked the flesh off their bones and even left clear marks in the bone as she moved through them like it was a game to her. Sinuously moving between them, coiling and herding the bosses around the room at her whims until the last Aethermancer had his head punched into the wall, having given up on fighting and started begging for his life.

Every one of them was left barely able to whimper yet all still clearly alive. The fear scent in the room was suffocating as the women and the two males pretty enough to catch the two female bosses interests all cowered behind the sofas. All shaking and shivering in fear that this fiendish woman turned her eyes on them.

“If all of you are wondering why you are still alive its rather simple and I’m not leaving you alive either so forget that delusional hope. I want you to realize just how much of a waste all of you are as I burn your souls out of your flesh. Everything you’ve built, all that you’ve corrupted I’m going to destroy and do you all know why?” She said coldly as she waved her own hand and had all of the mangled bosses lined up against the wall to have clear sight of her.

Into the room entered a horror from myth, dragging with it a large goat-like man that whimpered and squealed as his limbs were clearly bent the wrong way. The horror was robed in tattered clothing but the thin mummified skin from which the dagger like fingertips and skeletal head broke through almost made Sechid relief herself out of pure terror. With a few furtive glances around she realized the other victims weren’t much better.

“This idiot here, found me somewhere on this shit stain of a station and decided to sell me to you.” The demon said as she pointed at the man dragged in by the horror. “You accepted and well…” She chuckled darkly. “The rest is history, now open your minds so I can destroy everything you’ve built and perhaps I’ll relieve you of your suffering.” She then said her voice changing to what Sechid could only describe as the voice of oblivion itself.

With strange words of clear esoteric origin spilling from her lips and arcane gestures around herself as blue electricity and fire began to form strange symbols, runes and circles in the air above the bosses heads. Sechid had slowly peered over the back of her chosen cover to stare wide eyed as blue ethereal streams began to flow from any intact orifice of the mangled bosses that flowed through the air, coiled and entwined before it entered the woman’s mouth. And she inhaled it like it was the most delectable sustenance she could ever have gotten.

Then with soft chuckle the woman was over one of the chairs and holding up one of the other women that had been forced to be near the obeese boss the woman had stolen the cigar from. “This little bitch thought she was clever did you?” She growled as she pinned the woman to the wall with a single hand against her throat.

“Good idea though, using that fatty as a shield to protect yourself but that won’t work on a god.” She growled.

What followed had Sechid staring in awed horror as the demon devoured the woman piece by piece before their very eyes. Every bite not only taking pieces of the woman’s flesh but also held bits of that same ethereal substance she’d just devoured from the bosses as well.

Once she was done she threw the half eaten corpse to the side and chuckled.

“Zak’thul, you have quite the list ahead of you to play with. Do you want to?” The demon said as she turned to look at the horror who’d stationed itself at the door to prevent any escape from the room.

“I do mistress. How far can I go?” The horror asked eagerly as it fidgeted in clear eagerness to do the demon’s bidding.

“I want them rounded up somewhere public, before that though get all the files and other evidence these filth gathered and when you slaughter the lot have the evidence broadcast throughout this station. Make sure they know that if this happens again I’ll be worse than the scourge and I’ll go through this galaxy like a fucking hurricane in search of them all and I won’t care for any of their pleas.” She commanded, rage and clear repugnance in her voice.

As the thing went to leave the room she called to it once more. “Zak… Make it as painful as you possibly can for the worst of them. I want their screams of agony to echo in the minds of the people of this station for centuries to come.” She growled before moving to sit on the obese fake boss and pull out one of the cigars to light a new one.

Sechid lowered herself behind her cower and shivered. Part of her was glad whatever this thing was, was going after these people and everyone willingly cooperating with them but the manner in which it accomplished it terrified her.

After taking a few shaking breaths to try and calm herself a bit more she peered over the cover once more and froze. The thing was there, leaning over her cover and staring her directly in the eyes. The strangely excited smile she showed had her terror mounting by the second.

“Well isn’t this my lucky day? I find two anomalies among trash~” The demon purred clearly pleased at seeing her. Then a blast of warm oddly comforting air filled the air and the demon sighed in clear annoyance as she turned and gave Sechid a clear view of a four winged angel standing rather displeased in the middle of the air in the middle of the room.

From the corners of her eyes she noted the other victims all staring in clear awe at the sight while the demon moved to stand before the angle with a grumpy expression.

“Is this not corruption and defilement?” The Angel said in displeasure to the demon.

“Here, look through this and tell me if what I’m doing is defilement.” The demon said as she created a ball of light in her hand and handed it over to the Angel who placed it against her forehead.

“By the Lady…” The Angel breathed as she looked over at the corpses of the crime bosses with clear disgust in her eyes. “I take it you are going to rip everything they’ve built and corrupted to the ground in this station?” She then asked the demon who smirked and shrugged.

“Perhaps though… What is a race between demons and my kind?” The demon? then asked curiously as she tapped a clawed finger to her chin.

“Fiends.” The Angel answered unwillingly.

“Oh?” The demon said before her body changed, a tail slipped out and two more arms grew from the bottom of her ribcage while a crown of seven horns grew from her head. The hair turned to thin fleshy tendrils and five more eyes opened on her face as the mouth and nose disappeared and she had to crouch to fit into the room as her height grew.

“So you can shape shift to any race?” The Angel asked with clear curiosity now as she’d watched the transformation occur.

“If the race can be considered mortal in some way I can change into it… apparently.” The demon turned Fiend now looked over herself, her voice worming its way into everyone’s head. Then the Fiend snapped her fingers.

“Actually I don’t suppose you’d like to make a bit of a scare to the mortals? Make it into a show for them to realize that if they continue such acts their souls won’t be allowed into the cycle?”

“The Cycle? You mean the sea of souls?” The Angle asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Is that what you call it in this universe? Hmm rivers, seas, cycles, ancestral halls. There certainly are a myriad of options for afterlives aren’t there.” The Fiend chuckled before pointing with a thumb at Sechid whi flinched at the attention.

“Is this one of the anomalies you asked me to check out? It certainly is strange for two mortals to be born into a universe with such talents for energies foreign to the universe of their birth. Is this common?” The Fiend asked curiously as she turned and gave Sechid a look at those seven eyes.

“Did you find the other?” The Angle asked.

“I did, can you imagine I offered her a job as my tailor and she jumped at the chance.” The Fiend chuckled. “Even when I told her I’d have to teach her mana and chi arts along with how to incorporate those into her crafts she didn’t mind.”

“And when you told her what she was going to work for?” The Angel continued clearly amused at the suddenly excitable Fiend.

The Fiend laughed happily. “She was floored when I said I was an Elder god but once I summoned Kori to stand guard over them she was… Rather convinced.” The Fiend giggled happily.

Sechid was baffled at the friendly atmosphere between what she thought was to be a conversation between mortal enemies if myths were to be believed.

“And what about her? Are you going to offer her the same?” The Angel asked gesturing to Sechid who paled at the implication.

“Well… I might though perhaps after the… display I’ve put on she might deny the offer even if I promised no harm would come to her.” The Fiend chortled.

“Anyway this idea of yours?” The Angel asked her curiosity on clear display.

The Fiend grew a fanged maw and grinned maliciously.

-

“I am here in the Phorbos station’s main square were several politicians, corporate personnel and law enforcement individuals of high standing have been rounded up as you can see here behind me.” The news reported spoke into the hovering camera as behind her the entirety of the square was filled with roughed up people all kept within a strange ring of blue fire. The low otherworldly growl that grew whenever someone approached the fire had kept people at bay so far but there was a unit of enforcement agents gearing up to go at it with hoses and firefighting gear on.

“I would advise against that.” A raspy, papery whisper spoke up from the news reporters shadow as she’d been interviewing one of the captains of the unit about to enter. From her shadow Zak’thul rose and scared the ever living hell out of the people around him.

“These are the ones corrupt enough to interest us, do not interfere or we end this entire station to prove our point.” He growled into the captains shaking visage before turning the blue flames of his eyes towards the news reporter.

“Aim there.” He said pointing at a spot in the sky were a black sphere hovered. “You all need to see this for heaven has grown sick and tired of your mortal antics.” He growled at the reporter before sinking back into her shadow once again.

What followed was covered as the appearance of true angels and demons arriving and the demon’s slaughter of the men after showing evidence of their corruption. Promising that if such a den is found again worse would follow before ripping open the very fabric of the universe to steal two young women with it to hell as the price for their folly. It would be covered for years to come and had sparked a revolution of upheld laws and due process applying to everyone. When the main sup tractor saying it had to be staged got exposed as a paedophile and had his head ripped off on live broadcast by the demon slipping through the fabric of the universe once more, a fire was lit.

It had been made clear in the first incident that the demons had been given free reign to end all of those that had reached a certain threshold of crime and corruption as they wished and the fact they existed sent a change through the galaxy. As it’s people realized that the creator had grown rather displeased by the prevalence of such acts in her domain.

All the while a certain Fiend was snickering at the ripple effect of her actions.
