Beautiful and cruel is the madness of the existence.
And blessed are the sheep who are ignorant of the void. And pitiful are the damned souls who are not. For they shall never know peace only heartache in search of meaning.
These words echoed across the dark sky as a crow flew across the night. The bright City lights flickered an array of colours. Loud and exotic music played on rooftops. The roads and streets bustling with fast cars and busy people. Harlots stayed around corners trying to look as tempting as possible. Thugs and muggers like wolves kept their eyes out for easy prey they could pounce on. In other parts of the city, Businessmen counted the bountiful amounts of money they possessed. Some gained from honest means, others… less honest.
The crow sailed by all these things and landed firmly on the lid of a dumpster in an alley. A man clearly homeless by his attire was collapsed right next to it. The bird looked turning its head to the side and observing the man.
"Pity the fools who can't see the void…" he muttered. Clearly, the man was Mad or under a substance.
Caw!

The man's eyes opened and his mutterings halted. " I see, so you're back. And here I was beginning to think you left us,"
The crow only continued observing the man, clearly in confusion. The man was Mad honestly. He looked the part: ragged clothes, unkept blonde hair and crazy-looking eyes that were tainted a dark shade of lavender.
This man was lost in his delusions. He was weak, confused, and clearly mental . So it shouldn't have been too surprising when two boys came into the street fairly amused. These boys grew up in tough city life. Both tall. Both having the City scent on them. The duo's goal was as clear as day. "Hey pal, don't suppose you have any money there?" the boy asked, a shark-like grin stretched across his face.
"Well, see kid I do have some money but I can't afford to give you any I'm afraid" the blonde man stated apologetically with a smile on his face .
"Don't worry, it's no problem at all," the boy to the left stated, amusement clear in his voice. "We can just make this easier for you…" One of the boys pulled out a gun and the other pulled out a knife. Seeing this, the blonde man broke into a crooked grin. "Hey, that does make things easier for me. Thanks mate!"
The man's arm stretched out before his body started dissolving into a large murder of Crows.
The boy with the knife fled while the one with the guns attempted shooting at the crows. But in the end, both were swarmed by the birds and their screams were heard across the alley, largely drowned out by noises of the city. The crow on the bin continued observing as noises of flesh being torn apart and screams for mercy echoed across the alley.
Soon, an ominous silence returned to the alley.
