After getting his much-deserved rest from gaming which he spent by doing pushups and lunges he logged back into the game. He hadn’t worked out in a long while and the regular alcohol consumption had made a bit of his stomach appear out so a few weeks back when his troubles relating to money were solved he decided to start exercising again and focused more on eating and buying healthy food.

Whenever he wasn’t playing the game he used to spend his time either eating healthy food or exercising. His daily routine had become a mixture of gaming, eating and exercising. That’s all he did and planned to do for a while till he could earn enough money to buy his free time.

Logging back into the game after three hours Vikram started heading towards the forest that was mentioned by Leone. On the way out of the village, he was lucky enough to meet another group of dark golems who were of level 13.

After dealing with the three dark golems, he continued on with his journey towards the forest. His surrounding slowly started changing and was soon replaced with dense vegetation which indicated that he had already entered the forest. There were a few low-level beasts like Terrihogs and Blood slugs.

Terrihogs looked similar to hedgehogs but were quite large and horrifying in terms of look when compared to them and blood slugs, as the name suggested were slugs that were fond of sucking blood. Both of the two creatures were below Level 8 so they weren’t much trouble for Vikram though it was getting annoying for him as he needed to deal with a lot of them.

The worst of the two were blood slugs as they rested on the leaves of plants and trees and with the slightest movement slid down and attach themselves to the target. Removing them from the body was also painful so Vikram was forced to slice them down the moment he saw them.

After walking deeper and deeper into the forest the forest Vikram noticed that the slugs and the hogs no longer were present. His mood improved by a lot seeing this as he started venturing deeper into the forest.

After what seemed to be half an hour Vikram saw a message appearing in front of him.

‘Hidden Quest User, Dungeon Activated’

After Vikram read that message the ground started shaking as if an earthquake had come. Vikram out of reflex grabbed onto the tree for support but that was useful for only a couple more seconds. The ground below Vikram started fracturing like red bricks started falling downwards.

Seeing this Vikram realized that the ground on which he was standing was just a small layer and below it, there was only darkness. Vikram used the tree trunk to kick himself to an appropriate distance from the area of fracture but just when his flying body was about to reach the solid ground he felt a suction from the pitch-black hole that was beneath him.

Before Vikram could understand what was happening his body was sucked downwards as his surrounding became covered in darkness with only the light from above visible to him. Unfortunately for him, that trace of light too was becoming smaller and smaller as his body plummeted deeper and deeper.

During this whole time, Vikram's heart was beating rapidly and even though this was a game he couldn’t help but believe that he was going to die for real if the bottom of this hole was solid ground but thinking over it, even if it was water at the velocity at which his body was falling down hitting the water would not be any different from hitting solid ground.

The fall continued for five more seconds before Vikram suddenly felt his body slowing down at a considerable pace. Just when this started happening the sounds of splashing water entered his ears which made him focus his gaze downwards.

Vikram saw his surroundings slowly start getting enveloped with a blanket of blue light and the source of this was sparky clear blue liquid. Vikram had no idea what it was but he knew that anything shiny or beautiful looking shouts danger.

He thought that he was going to get timed out for the next six hours and lose his EXP but fortunately for him, the sparking blue liquid was just water that looked different. He realized this once a bunch of it entered his throat through his mouth and nostrils when he splashed into it.

Realizing that it was water and not some harmful liquid Vikram could finally relax and now that he was relaxed he got time to observe his surroundings. While falling only the top part of this lake was visible to Vikram but now that he was floating on the lake he could see that just a few 100 meters ahead of him was the shore of this lake.

The area on the shore was filled with rocks and looked dead and desolate which was quite contrary to the lake he was currently in. It looked pleasant and filled with life. Making a cup with his hand he lifted some water up and saw that it was transparent like normal water which made him realize that the blue sparkling colour was due to the stones which seemed to be illuminating below the lake.

After admiring the lake to his fill Vikram slowly swam towards the shore. Seeing how the shore looked Vikram didn’t have good feelings about going there but since it was the only place where he could go he couldn’t help it as he swam towards it with increased vigilance.

After swimming for a few minutes, he finally reached his destination. Stepping on the shore he could feel himself shivering as the breeze that came from god knows where passed through his soaking wet body. Resisting the urge to log out of the game to drink a warm cup of tea Vikram continued walking forward finding his way around huge rocks that blocked his path.
