Vikram roamed all around the village in encountered another two groups of Dark golems before nightfall. Which helped him in increasing him in raising his level to 12.

As he checked his status Vikram was wondering whether all the next groups of Golems would be at the same level as that of Lvl 12 and Lvl 13 or if they would keep increasing as he levels up.

His questions were soon answered as the next batch of golems he encountered was that of Lvl 14 making him filled with joy.

Running towards the Dark Golems Vikram engaged in a quick battle with them and easily destroyed them. It was not only them whose levels had increased so even if the Golems were of higher level, they didn’t pose much of a threat to Vikram and after clashing with them for about 10 minutes he was done with them.

+4200 EXP

Seeing his EXP points increasing so quickly Vikram couldn’t help but feel exhilarated and with even more vigour than before continued searching for the Dark Golems. Unfortunately for him, no Dark Golem spawned anymore. Five groups of them seemed to be the limit.

Thinking about it, it did make sense to be like this. It was late at night in the game so hopefully, he’ll get another batch of these Golems after midnight. There were around 3 in-game hours left for that so Vikram decided to go towards the inner portion of the village to look for some other quests till then.

Reaching the bustling region of the village Vikram decided to enter a pub. Players below the age of 18 were naturally kicked out by the NPCs inside the pub and since Vikram wasn’t in that category, he easily entered the pub and going towards the bartender he asked for a glass of beer and some snacks along with it.

The bartender was a fat middle-aged bald man who styled an orange beard. Hearing Vikram’s order he nodded and prepared his order.

After serving him his order on his table the bartender looked at him to take a closer look at him and exclaimed “Oh! So you’re the swordsman who saved Sergeant Ronald’s family. Rossian was it? Don’t mind paying as it’s on the house for you tonight.

Seeing this unexpected situation Vikram couldn’t help but be happy as he said “Thanks old man.”

“No need. You deserve it.” With that, he went about doing his business.

It was night time and this was the time when a pub was the busiest. Sitting at one of the tables Vikram sipped the beer which actually tasted just like the real stuff and listened to the conversations of the surrounding NPCs to look for hints for some good quests.

Most of the people were discussing the Dark Golems' attacks and cussing at the Dark Archmage who was the cause of all this. Hearing about this Archmage once again Vikram couldn’t help but wonder at what level it was.

From its ability to summon such strong Golems, it was unlikely that the Archmage would be any weaker than the monsters that it could summon.

“Hey, Leone! You’ve already drunk too much! Go home, I won’t be serving you any more booze.” The bartender shouted at a drunk middle-aged man attracting Vikram’s attention.

The man who was the victim of the bartender’s scolding had unkempt hair and a beard that wasn’t properly shaved. Listening to the bartender he just smirked and said “Alright man, Now I can’t even drink to curb my sadness…sigh.” The man said as he wobbly stood up.

“I know it's hard for you but it doesn’t mean that you should make your life harder by drinking so much.” The bartender advised as he looked at Leone who slowly turned around and walked towards the exit without replying to him.

Seeing this he could only sigh and went about with his business. Leone slowly passed by the table at which Vikram was sitting and made eye contact with him making him stop in his footsteps.

“Aren’t you the one who saved Sergeant Ronald’s family?” After saying this Leone’s eyes that were devoid of any emotions lit up with that of hope as he quickly clasped Vikram’s hand that was holding the beer mug with both of his hands and said in a pleading voice, “C-could you help me in finding my daughter?”

A Hidden Quest has been initiated, Help Leone find her daughter. Would you like to accept the quest? (Y/N)

Vikram had just come to the pub to gather some useful information which he could use later on to get some quests but not in his wildest of imaginations he had expected that just by being present in the pub he would be able to activate a hidden quest. He quickly accepted the quest and the following words appeared in front of his eyes.

“Thank you for accepting my request young swordsman, I’ll forever be in your depth if you’re able to find my daughter,” Leone said as tears welled up in his eyes.

Quest Accepted: Find Leone’s daughter

Time Limit: None

Failure: -10,000EXP and -10 Fame

Completion Reward: 25,000 EXP

Seeing the information about the quest Vikram couldn’t help but smile wryly to himself after seeing the result of failing the quest. He had no idea from where to start so he decided to ask Leone for some.

“Sir, do you know where was the last place your daughter was seen before disappearing?” Vikram asked Leone.

“She went to the nearby forest to collect herbs for me and was supposed to return in an hour….but she never did.” After saying that Leone slowly started crying and slammed the table a little in frustration as he said to himself, “I shouldn’t have let her go that day…”

Vikram could only wait for him to calm down as he patted him on his back and guided Leone who was still wobbly because of being drunk to his home. After he was done with Vikram thought of how to proceed to this quest.

After contemplating for a while, he decided to take it slow as the quest did not have any time limit. Since it was nighttime and the visibility was low he decided to check the forest during the daytime because not only the monsters that come out at night are of a considerably higher level, but they are also adept in making use of the darkness to their advantage while fighting.

Vikram logged out of the game after a while discovering that even after midnight the Golems showed no signs of spawning. It was late at night in the game now and he felt like he could afford a few hours break after getting his hand on a hidden quest.
