Piltover - Veteran's Center - [The Future]
Woods leaned heavily against the right armrest of his wheelchair, his fingers absently drumming against the worn leather. His scarred face twisted into a grimace as he spoke, his voice low and gravelly, carrying the weight of bitter memories.
"Three months. Three damn months since that mess. No fancy ceremonies, no grand rebuilding speeches. Piltover's still crawling out of the rubble after Ambessa and Atriox tore through the city." His lips curled in a sneer, anger simmering just beneath the surface. "Not that we deserved much better. Hell, humanity almost got wiped out because of Jayce's brilliant science buddy in the first place."
Woods growled, his hand curling into a fist as he glared into the distance. "That asshole Jayce... He should've let Viktor die in that Council Room. Would've saved us all a lot of misery."

A heavy silence hung in the room, broken only by the faint creak of his wheelchair as he shifted his weight. Woods sighed, the fight leaving him for a moment. "Anyway... the Council, or whatever's left of it, decided to hold some big-shot meeting. Something about taking down the remaining targets: Atriox, Alex Mercer, and—"
He paused, his jaw tightening. His hand clenched tighter, knuckles turning white as his gaze dropped to his wheelchair. The name lingered on his tongue like poison.
Lawson, seated across from him on a worn-out couch, leaned forward. The younger man's brow furrowed, curiosity and concern flickering in his eyes. "And who?" he pressed, his voice soft but insistent.
Woods slowly lifted his gaze, locking eyes with Lawson. His face darkened, the weight of the name bringing back a storm of emotions. "Raul Menendez," he finally spat, his voice thick with venom.
Lawson leaned back slightly, the name landing heavily between them. For a moment, neither man spoke, the weight of Menendez's infamy filling the room like an unspoken curse.
Woods growled softly, shaking his head. "That bastard's is still out there. And if you think Ambessa or Atriox were bad, kid... you don't know suffering. Menendez is one of them."
