Hello Readers!
Now I know that many of you will be disappointed that this isn't an official chapter.
However, thanks to your support, I have managed to work up the courage to try my hand at a truly original fiction.
A bit of a departure from the grim outlook that Oak: Origins has, my original story will be much more lighthearted and wholesome. Bringing a world that has only until now existed within my own head onto paper is something magical. I've always tried to create characters that are "real", with hopes and dreams and lives of their own. All I am doing is telling their story. Some of you may know that this particular work started off as a bit of a personal challenge and read my vents in chat about how something was just missing.
As I kept writing and rewriting and rewriting, the people of Terraides slowly grew and grew until at some point it became its own living culture. They refused to be limited to only a couple thousand words, and told me that what was missing was "the rest of their story".
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
So... here it is.
Regardless of how many people actually end up reading it and enjoying it, Mutia and Gee's story wants to be told. I just hope I manage to do it justice.

As the third son of a powerful wizard, Gee enjoyed certain privileges. However, being considered nothing more than a mere political tool dampened any sense he had of personal agency.
Disillusioned with his noble lineage, Gee opted for a simpler life as a woodsman in the enchanting yet treacherous valley of Terraides. His chosen path unexpectedly led him to rescue a C'amine girl with a mysterious history of her own.
Yet, as they navigated their newfound connection, they soon realized that the shadows of their pasts refused to remain dormant.
