Nothing Here but Hot Air
Lost Love of The Sea

Lost Love of The Sea

With twists and turns,

The sea breaks cold,

Oher my heart,

Fore I grow old.

But love’s a rush,

Her touch a dove,

She finds a way,

To take a hold.

And in her arms,

I fall asleep,

The sea is left to weep

And weep.

But within the waves,

Lies patience plenty.

While their hearts are full,

The beach lies empty.

The sea draws back,

Fast and hard,

It seeks to fill,

In every yard.

It drags him back,

Into the surf,

Where he is made to serve,

And serve.

And while his love,

Is left to weep.

Beneath the waves,

He sleeps, and sleeps.

And though she lost,

Him long ago.

She knows just where,

She needs to go.

She'll meet his ghost.

Below the hill.

One small step,

And then she'll fall,

Into his arms,

buried deep.

Owned by the sea,

To keep, and keep.

But love's a thing,

That’s never gone,

It finds a way,

To linger on.

Just out of reach,

Of all the waves.

It soars and skims,

Forever plays.

A tale that's twisted,

Into things.

A voice that whispers,

On the Wind.
