KO-35 is a human settlement on one of the 43 moons of a gas giant known only as KO. 35 isn't the only moon capable of sustaining life, surrounding the giant, but it is the largest and most habitable. Other oxygenated moons are smaller, more barren. For hundreds of years, they lived in peace, protecting their own. They expanded slightly, exploring the other moons and the gas giant around which they revolved.
They created the Astro Power Rangers to protect themselves from outside forces that wished them harm. Things began changing after things should have calmed down. KO-35's most notorious daughter reformed and returned home to start a life, but the government of KO-35 began to slowly, insidiously change. Using Astronema and what happened to her as an example and an excuse, they began making laws that slowly but surely stripped rights from its citizens, expelling those of non-KO-35 origins, banning visitors and immigrants.
Those who realized what was happening tried to fight against the more and more isolationist and authoritarian regime. Andros Amnell, who'd been a Power Ranger, along with his Earth born wife, Ashley, tried to fight against the passing of such laws. He became something a civil rights leader, standing between the ever-restrictive government, and groups who began to protest and fight against the government.
As he grew more and more suspicious of the government, he sent away the younger sister of his best friend and the Astro Morphers to be safe guarded on Earth by the newest Power Rangers there. His sister, Karone, had long since left the colony to travel with Zhane Rahl amidst growing anti-telekentics sentiment. A sizeable population of 35 were at least some levels of telekinetic, perhaps not at the same strength as those in the Amnell or Rahl families, but enough to become a target of fear even within their own ranks.
The return of Astronema was almost the last straw. Although there was no proof except her word, the revelation that the Prime Minister had been behind her creation was the catalyst for the things to come. Andros accused the minister, tried to get him ouster, but the coup was completed at the same time. Under the guise as an invasion force, a mechanical army appeared in the colony and a battle ensued.
In the end, Andros and his family and many others abandoned the colony, hiding amongst the other moons of KO. The new government now labeled them traitors and enemies of the state. They became the resistance, rebels hoping to liberate their home from a ruthless authoritarian.
Once the base was established, he sent for the Astro Morphers, hoping they'd help in the fight against the mechanical army.
Zhane Rahl prepared to bring the Morphers. Karone and his younger sister wanted to go with him, but he urged them to stay behind, especially with the new baby. The journey could be dangerous, and he didn't want to risk them. He promised to send for them later.
As it happened, he made the right call. His shuttle was attacked, the Astro Morphers were stolen, and Zhane's fate was unknown.
The regime now had an army of mechanized soldiers and Power Rangers to back them up, holding them up as a sign of the righteousness of their government. Power Rangers were a symbol of goodness in the known galaxy, after all.

Planet Onyx
Astronema was cloaked in darkness as she moved through a raucous tavern full of some of the galaxy's slimiest scum. It wasn't even a high-class level of seediness. It was pure scum. Still, she shouldn't be surprised. What else could she have expected. Something like what she was looking for, and meeting the person she was meeting, why would she think any other way?
Someone nearby coughed very loudly and awkwardly three times. She scanned the room before making her way over. Haggard and odious, the slumped oldster had a dingy leather eyepatch over one eye, and the other was glazed white with a cataract. Still, when he looked at her, he seemed to recognize her. He grinned a yellow-toothed grin. "So, you made it, girlie," he said delightedly.
"Do you have what I came for?" she asked, raising a brow at him.
His milky eye shifted around. "Depends. You got the payment?" he asked.
From inside her cloak, she pulled out an eyeball. "You mean this?" she asked, making a face at it. She pulled back when he made to grab at it. "I showed you mine, now you show me yours," she said.
The man grumbled and pulled a box. On the box was symbol with crossed swords on it and a pseudo-skull. He wiggled it tantalizingly. "On the table at the same time," she stated. He nodded. Slowly, they placed their respective items on the table, then quickly snatched the items they came for. She hugged the box to her as she stood. The man laughed and put the eye into the space under his patch. "I'll be having that back, now girly. It belongs to the dread Cap'n Gorg! And that's me!" he declared, and right before her eyes he began to change, de-age, and get more powerful.
"Yeah, I don't have time for this," she said. His eye was suddenly plucked out of his socket by an invisible force. "Do you mean to say this glass eye is worth a fortune?" she said loudly, garnering the attention of every low-life in the tavern. The lowlifes began tripping over themselves trying to get it.
"Get 'er, me laddies!" he called out. Several of the rough looking characters started coming after her. Several chairs and tabled floated up and crashed into them, and other patrons, and there was jostling, and fighting, raised voices.
With a smirk and a salute to the one-eyed Cap'n Gorg, Astronema activated a device built into her headband. A portal appeared behind her, and she stepped through it. She reappeared in a small ship. She opened the box. She managed to control her temper when there was nothing in it but a set of coordinates. She recognized the stellar coordinates immediately. "Of course they'd be there," she declared. She tapped the coordinates into a console in her small ship and set out.

Angel Grove, Earth
A shell of its former self after an invasion, the Command Center of the Power Rangers had slowly been rebuilt by various past Rangers. The teleport didn't work quite the same way, but the viewing network around the planet, and even space had recently been retrofitted. Manned by the android supercomputer known as Beta Z, it was still a powerful outpost, if not the current hub of Power Ranger activity.
The invasion, however, had her feeling like she was missing her limbs. She'd once been fully integrated into the Command Center, but too much damage had been done, and she'd had to separate her consciousness. So, she no longer had access to her ports and holograms, so when several space crafts entered Earth space, an alert awakened her from her recharging tube.
Not long ago, most of the dealings with extraterrestrial traffic were handed off to Space Patrol Delta, but crafts that headed for Angel Grove were strictly under her purview. She made her way to the Power Chamber. She brought up the footage. The crafts were small, personal crafts. One was a design she recognized. It'd been salvaged from Dr. Lee Keflen's Science Station by one of the three people who could access it.
The other craft she wasn't sure about. It was sleek, fast, and agile. It's markings, however, were in an alien language. It seemed to be in pursuit of the other craft. A quick analysis of their flight trajectory gave her a general area where they may come down. She hit the console with more force than she intended, still fuming about not having her teleport grid anymore.
A quick analysis let her know where everyone was. Most of the magic users were now located in Briarwood, and Lammy didn't appear anywhere in the city, which led Beta Z to conclude she was probably in the Library dimension. The only person nearby who could conceivably get there quickly enough had a very fast motorcycle. He also had a very handy ability that he didn't have to be morphed to used. She opened a communication. "AJ, I'm sending you coordinates. There may be trouble. Two crafts are coming in fast. Assess the situation and report back to me," she instructed.
"On my way," he answered.
She sighed and crossed her arms over her chest as she waited for a report before informing anyone else.
---
Austin John Scott had been all but abandoned in Angel Grove the past few months. His twin sister had gone to Stone Canyon to teach at her academy since her headmaster had called her almost urgently. His best friend had also left him to go on a recruiting tour for their own martial arts school. AJ had almost joined him, but something kept him in Angel Grove. Perhaps with his sister-in-law expecting, he didn't want to leave his older brother to tend the Scott Dojo alone. Perhaps there were other reasons he didn't want to leave.
He was alone in the wilderness when he got Beta Z's message. He'd been mediatating while his animal spirit, the giant crimson-striped white tiger, roamed around. He was supposed to meet two of his students later, but he wanted some alone time with himself. The tiger disappeared when he answered his communicator. He went to his motorcycle and put on his helmet, heading toward the coordinates he'd been given.
Angel Grove had been peaceful since they defeated Roki Repulsa and his wife Widow, and most had moved on to other things, though many still remained in Angel Grove. They may not be Power Rangers anymore, but they were a tight network of vigilance. He hoped that kind of trouble wasn't heading toward them when they didn't have access to any Morph tech. Other threats still loomed, but there were always Power Rangers to thwart them. Hopefully, Angel Grove didn't need to be protected by outsiders.
He arrived at the coordinates and waited. His wait wasn't a long one, a sleek black craft barreled through the air, passing over him as it landed. He recognized the type of craft it was. One of the remnants from Dr. Lee's Dimensionally Intangible Traveling Science Station. The only people who'd be traveling in one of them were few. Titus had gone to Briarwood, Nubia had disappeared in the depths of space with Rio Revile. That only left one person.
The craft opened and out stepped a young woman. Though the person who gave her her genetics was usually blonde, she preferred keeping her hair a dark auburn, but otherwise she looked just like a younger Karone Amnell. She wasn't dressed in black leather and silver armor, but simply in something tan with a dark cloak draped around it. The only signed that she was Astronema was the headband she wore that controlled her access to dimensional portals. It hadn't been created for her as Astronema, but she'd made herself from the remnants of the Station. "Austin John Scott," she said when she saw him. "I don't want any trouble, I'm here for Karone," she said.
"I'm not the one looking for trouble. You brought it," he said as the second craft caught up and landed.
She tapped something on her headband and her ship disappeared. "There's been a misunderstanding," she said. "I'm reformed. Ask anyone," she said and batted her blue eyes innocently.
"Since I'm the one who helped reform you, I believe it," he said.
"No one liked being under Dr. Lee's control," she said, making a face. Then she darted to hide behind him.
The pilot of the second craft exited. He wore a dark uniform with a badge who's alien symbols resembled the letters GSPO and some yellow on it. He had olive skin, sharp brown eyes, and dark hair over which he wore a cap. "Halt there," he called forcefully. "I'm Officer Firahni Desai of the Galimatias Special Police. I've come to take the wanted criminal Astronema into custody to stand trial on Galimatias," he said.
"I've never even been to Galimatias and I don't have to stand trial to prove it," Astronema said. "I have to find Karone," she said.
"I'm afraid I can't just let you take her. You're on Earth now, and extraterrestrial police matters must go through S.P.D.," AJ stated.
Firahni sighed through his nose. "I've tracked her too far for too long to just let her go now while I deal with red tape. She's coming with me," he said and drew his sidearm. "I'd prefer her to come along peacefully," he said. "And I'd prefer no unrelated civilians get in the way," he added, eying AJ especially.
AJ narrowed his eyes. "You need to find Karone because of the situation with KO-35?" he asked Astronema quietly.
"She has to help me find something and get it to Andros," she answered just as quietly.
"She and Zara are still living at Mel's grandma's house," he said and straightened up. Until then he'd been leaning against his bike in a nonchalant way. "I'm sorry, officer, I just can't let you take her on your word," he said.
Astronema backed away and tapped her headband again as a portal opened behind her.
"Stop!" Firahni raised his sidearm and fired.
"Unleash the tiger!" From within him, the tiger jumped out and between them, taking the fire from his sidearm, giving her a chance to step through the portal.
Firahni swung the weapon toward him. "Who are you? You can be charged with aiding and abetting," he warned. His gaze warily watched the giant cat and AJ at the same time.
"AJ," Beez interrupted the stand-off.
"Yeah?" he said.
"I'll inform Commander Kreuger about him, but there is another problem. A Kovarian ship is headed this way. They've sent out a command that we're to let them take Karone, Zara, and Zeke on the charge of sidition and treason," she said. "Tai and Lani are in Hawaii right now, and I think Jason is offworld," she said.
"He is. One last thing to finish up before Cassie gives birth, he said," AJ said. "This means they don't know Remi's here or else they'd want her, too. I sent her to Karone and Zara. Get as many people there as you can who can fight. I have a bad feeling about this," he said.
"I'll do my best," she said.
"S.P.D. will have to deal with you, I don't have time for this," he said. The tiger took a swipe at a vital part of the spaceship, distracting the officer, giving AJ enough time to jump on his bike and take off.
---
Karone almost burst a vessel and gave birth again (even though she wasn't pregnant) when her doppleganger jumped out of a portal in Grandma Robinson's living room while she was drinking tea. "Remi. It's you," she said with releif. "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"I have something that will help the resistance. I think. It's somewhere on this planet. We have to get to it, and take it to Andros," she said. She'd never met her older brother, but she'd had many communications with him since she broke free of Dr. Lee.
"Andros doesn't want us to leave Earth," Karone said. "After what happened, it looks like he was right," she said tightly. Her fist clenched when she thought about what had happened to Zhane.
Remi clenched her teeth then tried to relax. "This is different. There's a larger transport ship on the Station. It's capable of dimensional travel. We can get to KO before the government knows we've even left Earth. "But we need to go now and locate the Cutlass. It seems that either you as Astronema or I've somehow inadvertantly offended some people from Gallimatias," she said.
Karone frowned slightly. "Gallimatias? Oh, dear. I think that was indeed me," she said. "Are you sure we can find the resistance safely? What about Zeke?" she asked.
"Zeke wouldn't be the only child being hidden by the resistance. Civil war isn't pretty and children get caught up in it all the time. You just have to decide. Do you want him to stay here safely, or be with you. No one can make that decision for you. Not even me," Remi said.
Zara Rahl came barrelling inside the house. "People from the government are here for us," she said. Pale with silvery blue eyes and dark hair, she didn't look much like her older brother, Zhane, but she had more telepathic potential than he ever hoped to have.
Behind Zara came three other people. A gawky guy with reddish hair and freckles wore a long coat and a scarf. Looking like some celebrity model couple, a tiny girl in black walked beside an athletic dark-haired boy. "We were at the Youth Center, but Win and Lammy aren't there," Fox Oliver explained.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"None of you need to involve yourselves in this," Karone told them. "This doesn't and shouldn't concern Earth," she said.
"Youse gotta be jokin'," Chloe Kennedy said.
"Seriously," Mace Hart agreed. "You guys are not only former Power Rangers, but our teammates and our friends," he said.
"We wouldn't be anywhere else," Chloe added.
"Sora and the trio are on standby. Since Zhane was his sensei, he's almost as irked as you guys," Fox said.
"AJ is on his way here," Mace said.
Karone nodded. "I understand," she said and smiled slightly. She glanced at the ceiling. "Zeke's awake," she said and darted upstairs.
Seeing all those familiar faces made Remi a little uneasy. She didn't have much to say about all the mushy teammates and friends thing. She'd been none of them. In fact, for almost a third of her life, she'd been their enemy. Still, knowing they were there to protect Karone and Zeke made her feel better. She'd seen what they could do, Morphed or not.
Karone came back down with her baby. He'd been born on the same day that Remi had made her prescence known. He was cute little thing that took after his father's looks. "We should get a move on. If the government sent a ship, it sent the shockers," she said.
The purr of an enguine attracted their attention. Mace went to a window and looked out. "AJ's here," he said. "He's not alone either," he added. Not far behind him, on a hovering motorcraft was the Gallimatian officer.
"He doesn't know when to give up," Remi complained. She left the house. "You let him follow you?" she demanded.
AJ grimaced. "I tried to lose him, but that thing goes faster than mine," he said. He sighed. "He seems to be a good guy, so fighting him is kinda..." he trailed off with a grimace.
"Well, I'm not some goody-goody Power Ranger. I'll handle it," Remi declared.
"We don't have time for that," Karone said as she exited the house. "I'm the one you're looking for, but if I'm remembering your laws correctly, the statute of limitations for my crime is up in a few hours," she said.
Firahni was dismounting his vehicle when the other Astronema appeared and he nearly fell off. "What is this?" he demanded.
"Long story," Karone said. She pressed a button her on communicator. "Beez, what's going on the government ship?" she asked.
"It's stationary for now," Beez answered
"We have to go. With any luck there won't be a confrontation at all," Remi said. "But we should get out this populated area. From what I've seen shockers aren't very discrimninating in their carnage," she said. She tapped her headband and a portal opened up behind her. Karone, holding Zeke, led the way and the other entourage of young people began hoping through the portal.
"Wait!" Firahni shouted.
"We don't have time for you," Remi told him.
"You most certainly don't," Beez agreed through AJ's communicator. Small crafts have disembarked from the larger craft, they'll be entering Earth's atmosphere soon," she warned.
"Go," Remi urged AJ. He nodded and went through her portal. She stepped through, but Firahni was ready, he sped through on his bike moments before it closed, but half of it was caught on the other side. Being sheared in half wasn't good for it and thunked to the ground, taking him with it.
He looked around. They appeared to be on a small tropical island. "Where did you bring us?" he demanded.
"You weren't invited," Remi reminded him.
"But it ain't a bad question," Fox said.
"Kid has a point," AJ agreed.
"Xiexie, san ge," Fox said. When AJ began teaching Fox Pai Zhuq, making him his third kung fu master, Fox called him san ge, which he learned meant third older brother. He didn't half mind it.
Remi looked toward a small craggy rocky hill that might want to call itself a mountain. "We're after booty," she said.
Fox put a finger in his ear and wiggled it. "Did I hear that right?' he asked.
Chloe sighed and rolled her eyes. "It means treasure. Someone who speaks as many langauges as you do should know that, especially with the accent," she stated.
Fox just grinned unrepentantly.
"What kind of treasure. How will it help Andros?" Zara asked. She hadn't been having the best time lately. Awhile back her best friend had left Earth and gone back to Mirinoi with her own troubles, then the coup happened, and finally Zhane and the Astro Morphers disappeared. The only thing keeping her sane was Karone, helping with Zeke, and being around her friends.
"That I'm not sure about. It's another long story," she said. She opened the box she got on Onyx. She'd had time to study it more and found that it wasn't totally empty. There was a mechanism that revealed something like a compass. In space, the needles had spiraled manically, now it was steadily pointing toward the rock formation.
"So, I got another question. Whose this guy?" Chloe asked, jerking a thumb at Firahni. "No, let me guess. Long story?"
"Very long," Karone answered. "Let's go find that treasure. We don't have much time," she said. They began walking toward the formation.
"Neither of you are leaving my sight," Firahni declared and followed behind them quickly.
"Suit yourself," Remi said dryly.
AJ's communicator beeped. "How's it going, Beez?" he asked.
"They'll be on top of you soon," she warned. "Should I send for Sora?" she asked.
"Not yet. Save that just in case," he said.
"Will do," she agreed.
"Not good news, san ge?" Fox asked.
AJ shook his head. "We're not going to get away without a fight on our hands," he said.
"Then we'll fight," Chloe declared.
The cave opening of the rock formation was obvious. Perhaps, too obvious. "Think there'll be booby traps?" Mace asked.
"There will definately be booby traps," Fox said.
"Um, excuse me, but what are those?" Firahni, in strange place on a strange world, surrounded by definately strange people, had been hypervigilant. He was the first to notice the small jet-like crafts zoom by and begin dropping humanoid looking things onto the island.
"PM Varal's shock troops. Shockers," Remi said. "We should get in the cave now," she said.
"They'll just follow us," AJ said. "You go with Karone, Zeke, and Zara. We'll stay out here and hold them off," he said.
Zara hesitated. "I'll stay, too. Just be careful in there," she told Karone and Remi.
Remi nodded. "Let's go," she said. Karone nodded and the two of them ducked into the cave.
Firahni was torn. His two suspects were getting away from him, but the troops marching toward them didn't seem lawful either. "Give me the short version," he said to AJ as he drew his side arm.
"Short version. Right. There was a military coup on a colony called KO-35. Half the population has been either imprisoned, killed, or exiled. Andros, our friend, and a former Power Ranger is leading the resistance to bring back the rightful government," he said.
"How does Astronema, whichever one she is, fit into it?"
"Karone was Astronema. She was kidnapped as a child and raised to become Astronema. She's Andros' sister. Remi is her clone and was controlled for most of her existance by a mad scientist. That baby, his father was attacked and is now missing and we beleive the unlawful government has the Astro Morphers. Remi thinks she's found something that can help, but you keep getting in our way," he said.
Firahni let out a breath. "She's right about one thing. The statute of limitations is almost up. They'll expire before we're half way back to Gallimatias. There goes my career. May as well do some good as a last hurrah," he said, and raised his sidearm, switching it from a harmless stun mode to a lethal mode.
"Glad for the help," AJ said. "Fox, Mace, Chloe, ready?" he said. Mace was also one of his students, and more recently Chloe became more interested in Pai Zhuq, so she technically was as well.
"Ready," they said.
"Zara?" he asked.
She nodded. She also knew some Pai Zhuq, enough to access her animal spirit, but that was not her strength. She also had a bone to pick with the shockers. KO-35 was her home, and these things had devastated it. Static licked through the air, making their hair stand on end slightly as the world became varying shades of washed out purple.
The shockers halted. "Turn over the traitors Karone Amnell, Zara Rahl, and Zeke Rahl and you will not be harmed," like a speaker, someone spoke through the lead shocker.
"How exactly is a baby is a traitor? I mean, Zeke seems like a smart kid and all, but he can barely talk at the moment," Fox said.
"You won't be asked twice," the voice said. The shockers held club like weapons, but some of them turned their weapons and went to one knee and aimed them like guns. They fired, but their bullets slowed to a halt and hung in the air.
Zara let out a huge breath and the ammunition fell to the ground.
"Now!" AJ said. "Unleash the tiger!" His tigers roared and dove into the Sjockers, pouncing and clawing at them.
"Unleash the shark!" A large dark blue shark with bronze marking appeared from Fox. Though not the greatest for a land battle, it still did some damage with it's teeth.
"Unleash the elephant!" green-ish blue and black, Mace's elephant trumpeted mightily as it barreled through the troops.
"Unleash the rhinoceros!" from Chloe's tiny frame came a barreling black and white rhino, that didn't hold back.
Officer Desai was firing his weapon, amazed at what he was seeing.
---
Remi led the way through the cave ahead of Karone and Zeke, disarming or setting off booby traps as needed. They could hear the sounds of fighting echoing behind and above them. She gritted her teeth.
"I know exactly how you feel. I don't like others fighting my battle for me either," Karone said.
"You have Zeke to think about. I's safer in here than up there," Remi said.
"How did you end up helping Andros?" she asked, trying to take both their minds off whatever was happening to the others.
"Andros was trying to reveal who had me created when the coup happened. I've been helping him with the resistance ever since," she said. "In my own way," she added. "Stop. Stay here with Zeke. We're almost there and it'll probably be the worst one yet," she said.
Karone nodded. She and Zeke ducked into a crevass while Remi went on ahead.
---
Animal spirits and telekenesis weren't the only things the Earthlings had going for them. Chloe was a champion martial artist, and had the genetic ability to make herself very dense, nearly invulnerable and heavy. Stronger members of her team used to throw her around. But even so, throwing a punch with a fist as heavy as iron was never fun for an enemy, a kick was even less so.
Mason was an Olympic medalist gymnast. He also had accelated healing as a genetic ability, and he'd been trained in Pau Zhuq by first AJ, then his own Master Phant. His natural athleticism had given him a leg up, and he was pretty good at it if he did say so himself.
Fox had a series of masters. From Rex Hart teaching him the basics of kung fu, to Tai Stapleton teaching him the dual sword technique, to Karone teaching him a modified version of Hei Kwan, to AJ and Master Finn teaching him Pai Zuq. Then there was his own ability to make his skin build up flakes for either sandpaper skin, or thick craggy skin around his fists as an extra punch to his punch.
Zara knew enough Pai Zhuq but her Kovarian martial arts was nearly unmatched, and combined with her telekenesis, she wasn't an easy opponent.
AJ was a master, the stripes on his forearm proclaimed him as such. His Pai Zhuq was flawless, and his spirit was rare and deadly.
Firahni was a highly trained operative, even if his superior was out ot get him. His martial skills put him at the top of his class at the academy. His marksmanship was also deadly accurate.
But the shockers kept coming.
Suddenly the island shook, and the rock caved in. "Karone! Zeke!" Zara shouted and ran toward the rubble of what was left of the cave in. She tried to lift as much rock as she could. "Zara! Stop! You're going to hurt yourself," Fox said jerking her away from the rubble. Blood was already dripping from her nose.
AJ was distacted and a shocker got a lucky shot off, and hit his arm. "Augh!"
"It's time for back-up," Mace said into his communicator.
Back-up arrive in puffs off smoke as three nearly identical women arrived with three different men. "We heard there was fighting," Grifforzer Goldsmith, stout and sturdy, he was a warrior in golden armor. He held a huge, honking mace propped against his shoulder.
"We like fighting," Titus, a taller, slimmer, blue-eyed version of Griff declared, holding a huge, honking double-bladed axe.
"Is everyone okay?" Sora O'Keefe asked. He looked nothing like the other two men, but he also held a huge honking double edged sword.
"We don't know. The mountain collapsed. Karone, Zeke, and Remi were in there," AJ said, holding his bleeding arm.
Rei, Moriko, and Zita Repulsa looked at the army of shockers. "Take care of the wounded, the boys and we'll take care of this," Moriko told Rei.
She nodded. The five of them began to fight against the shockers. Rei went to AJ. She used magic to ease the projectile from his arm, then wrapped it up to satunch the bleeding.
"Now what's happening?" Firahni asked, taking cover near them because he was out of charge on his weapon. "No, don't tell me. Long story," he declared.
A portal suddenly opened and Karone, Zeke, and Remi came through. Zara sagged in releif and Fox awkwardly tried to support her without seeming like he was taking any advantage.
"Did you get what you were after?" AJ asked.
Remi patted her box and nodded. "It's time to go. Once the three of us leave the planet, the shockers will withdraw to follow us," she said.
The shockers suddenly stopped fighting and fell into a formation.
"What's happening? Things were just getting fun," Griff complained.
"And I was winning," Titus drawled.
"We were tied," Griff argued. Titus opened his mouth to argue, but Sora shushed them. Something was coming toward them. "Is a that a...a galaxy glider!" he said, finally recognizing the shape of the small craft coming toward them.
It was red, and there was an Astro Power Ranger riding it. He landed and stepped off the glider. "I decided to be merciful one last time. The traitors will come with me and we'll quietly withdraw from this planet," he said. The voice was the same as the one that had come out of the shocker.
Zara gasped. "Varal really does have the Astro Morphers," she said.
"We're not handing over anything. Pretending to be a Power Ranger won't change that," Chloe stated, jutting her chin out.
"Pretending? Little girl, don't you see me. I am a Power Ranger," he said.
"Stealing a Morpher and using it doesn't make you a Power Ranger," Mace declared.
The Ranger growled, "Stay out of this, Earthling," he said.
It was Sora who lost his temper. Two copies of him appeared on either side of the Ranger holding swords up. "Where is Zhane!" all three of him demanded.
The Ranger put his hands up. "Who?" he asked mockingly. "I'll count to three and the shockers will activate again," he warned. "And this time, I'll send them to populated areas."
"We won't be threatened by some wannabe," Rei said.
"Suit yourself. One," he said and the the shockers began to move. "Two," they turnd away from the island. He wiggled two fingers.
Remi growled. She opened the box. "These were supposed to be for the resistance, but we don't have much choice," she said. Inside the box were five bejeweled rings. "You're the closest so you get them," she said and handed one to AJ, Fox, Zara, and even Firahni. One was left and she grimaced.
"The other's are too far away. It has to be you," Karone said.
"I know," Remi said and slid the ring onto the middle finger of her right hand. The pink jewel glowed. A device formed around her other wrist.
Firahni had been given the yellow jeweled ring and his slid it on his hand. He wasn't sure what was going on, but despite all, he had the feeling these people were on the right of things, even the Astronemas.
Fox had been given the blue ring. Zara had the purple ring. AJ had the red ring. "Are we ready to Ranger up?" he asked.
"Ready," Zara and Fox agreed.
"Sure. I probably need a new job anyway," Firahni said.
"As I'll ever be," Remi said.
"Let's make waves," AJ said. "Force of Valor! Mega Red!" He held up his wrist and pressed the ring into it. A glowing image of the crossed cutlasses and pseudo skull expanded to passed through him several times, forming first in a basic black suit before forming red cavalier boots, a high collared frock coat with golden accents held by a golden belt, white gloves, and a feirce looking red helmet. The settled itself on his chest and glowed on the helmet.
"Force of Determination! Mega Purple!"
"Force of Wisdom! Mega Blue!"
Force of Integrity! Mega Yellow!"
"Force of Couragef! Mega Pink!"
The other four morphed into power suits similar to Red's, except the colors and visor shapes varied among them.
