Chapter twenty-four
The End of One and a Beginning of Another
Sky’s snapped aware of Jane and her clone nearby, waiting for her to finish her side quest. She pulled herself from the sleeping tube before addressing everyone. “I’m back, did you miss me”? Sky said as she landed gently on the floor in front of Jane.
Jane smiled, “no, you were here the whole time just in a different body.” She still gave Sky a quick hug. “Did you get everything resolved with the aliens and help them out”?
Sky smiled and nodded her head. “Yes, I did. They are called Tranis. Their home planet was sucked into a supernova and had to relocate. They haven’t found a suitable planet to live on yet. I told their creator that I would help them if I could.” Sky told her as if this was just another exciting day.
“Whoa, whoa, back up you meet a creator, a god. You sound like it’s nothing but a little more exciting than finding out what’s for dinner.” Jane said to Sky in aspiration.
“He also knows mommy and daddy when they were teenagers. What’s for dinner I’ve used a lot of magic with the Tranis and fighting the crazed mages.” She told Jane and reached into her pocket to pull out a rock nut. She popped it into her mouth as Jane’s mind reeled at what she just told her.
“Do you mean your parents met a god and didn’t seem it was important to mention it before. Just what would impress them enough to be important enough to tell us,”? Jane asked Sky.
Sky just shrugged her shoulders. “Mommy and Daddy have met many gods. Don’t forget some Titans think of themselves as gods. Mommy and daddy were royalty at one time, so they received many guests; some were gods. What kind of gets me is that they never mentioned that one had creations that feed off spent magic. I might have been able to do something right away had I known.” She said, looking in the direction to which her parents went. “They’ve freed all of the captive magic users in the last settlement, and they’re waiting for me. I’m telling they right now that I’ve finished with the Tranis and about their old friend, Tranosius.
William looked down into one of the tiny Sky clone’s eyes who sat on a console along with her sisters. “You mean to tell me Tranosius’s children were the ones attacking you? That is the last thousand years he didn’t reinsert himself as their god. He is waiting for you to call to him in prayer before coming back.” William sounded surprised at what his daughter told him through the clone.
Rocssanna addressed the clone herself. “Did he offer you anything for helping his people at least? He was one of the most powerful gods we’ve met so a could have done or given you something.”
The clone looked down to her mother and nodded. “Yes, he wished me well in my mission and asked if I could help them find a new planet with him. He was a very nice creator, and he thought very highly of you and daddy. He also apologized about his people attacking me and causing me so much pain. He said he was thankful that I forgave them and still helped them when they were staving and even came back to make sure everyone was fed.” The clone told her parents. Then with a sad face, she told them of how the magic users and stronger type pick on the ones who had a different trait than them and thus treated as slaves. “Many had starved to death and would of most likely kept starving if she hadn’t intervened. Some of them called me bad names and said I was a bad person. I knew they were lying because I was doing like you and daddy would have done.” She continued to tell them of the way she had usurped the ruler and started an assembly to choose another. She was in tears even though her clones were almost emotionless as she told them of the death sentences, she was going to carry out. She said she was relieved that Tranosius would carry out the punishment of her fair judgement.
The whole time her parents were amazed that their little girl was strong in so many ways. He couldn’t hold his tongue any longer. “My sweet little angel you’re trying to save everyone at once. Remember you’re only nine-years-old and still have a life to lead before judging others. You should wait a little longer before you must become the judge, jury, and executioner. You have a huge heart and your mother, and I don’t want to see you bear the responsibilities of others. You should have asked for help from someone you could trust.” He said, reaching up and stroked her bald head. It lacked the softness of her beautiful hair.
She looked up to her full-size Titan father. “Daddy I did, once I realized that they would keep subjugating their own people. I couldn’t stay, and I had an idea that their creator was nearby. I read everything about their history and learned to pray to him. I prayed for him to help his people and guild them. I learned that he was a great person and caring creator, so I knew he was the only one who could get the Tranis people back into harmony.” The clone looked down and smiled. “He was the one for the job.”
The clone looked up into the sky and turned to her parents. “We’ve got to get going we’re getting far behind. I’m just finishing my lunch and having a quick snack before joining the mission.” She turned to her parents and addressed them. “We should meet up with Jane and my selves before leaving the planet after we’ll join up with Todd and start freeing all of the abducted magic users in space. Then we’ll free the ones on the planets. I’ve managed to stop most of the chaos mages from stealing magic gifts. Fred and Joe are disabling the ships that have the stasis chambers. He really likes the new railguns. The Sky clone, tiny to the Titans focused her gazed into the soon to be night sky. “Fred is using my magic to communicate with the Emperor’s advisor. He’s informing him of the possible double agent letting the rogue mages. The advisor actually stated that it might be the fleet commander Mark Douglaston. They are starting to watch him shortly after telling the Emperor of Fred and Joe going rogue with a small Titan family. The Emperor put him under watch that second. The Emperor told his advisor that there was no way they went rogue after submitting so many spell upgrades and kept encrypted from possible rogue mages. The advisor informed Fred that they were sending aid, but it would take a few days to get here.” Sky recited to her parents of what Fred was told and conveyed from the advisor.
Rocssanna was at her console entering some directions for space and the upcoming mission. “We’ll be ready when your other-selves get here. Once they get here, we could have a little dinner and make more intricates plans.”
The tiny clone turned to Rocssanna “I’ve already eaten and want to get moving again. I caused everyone to get behind in the mission and don’t want to cause any more of a delay.”
“I know you’ve eaten already, but you have been using a tremendous amount of magic. More food is always welcomed in your tummy. I’ve never seen you turn down food once it’s in front of you.” Rocssanna sai, getting up and walking to a door that had a smell of food coming from it once it was opened. She called out from inside the kitchen. “I would like to have dinner with you in your Titan form once before we go off and save the universe again. You’ve never been I your Titan form, and I would like to see you in your natural state. It was quite a freight when we were almost being killed. I want to know how you turned out as a Titan in case something happens to you or to us. I know it sounds morbid, but we want to see you as you should have been, a Titan, not a tiny me.” Rocssanna asked the tiny clone on her console. “Please, it would mean so much to your father and me.”
The clone of Sky nodded her head. “I will eat a Titan meal with you. I know the spell that was used on you to make us small again. We can recast the spell again after we eat. I wanted to know what it feels like to be big since the sparring match with Fred. At first, I thought I just wanted to grow up like you and daddy. When I found out I was a tiny Titan I wanted to see what it’s like to be big too.” She gave her parents a big smile and hopped down from the console. The tiny girl called up to the Titans. “I’ll be here shortly, and I would like to enter the ship as a true Titan.”
Sky smiled at Jane and the clone. “I’m going the have another meal before starting again. This time it’s going to be in my natural form of a true Titan. I’ve always wanted to be taller, but now I’ll be really tall, even taller than you.” She reached over Jane’s head by 20 cm, (8 in.) and smiled. Actually, taller than you can imagine, like over 40 metres (131 ft.).”
The scout ship flew alongside the huge Titan ship that with Sky magic showed the outline of the giant ship. Jane landed about 500 metres (1640 ft) away and lowered the ramp door. Sky’s walked down the ramp and turned and took a deep breath.
A side door opened on the Titan ship and two huge Titans stepped out. It was comically at first when they raised their arms to the tiny girl. With every step, Sky grew bigger by the time she was halfway to her parents; she was 40 metres tall (131 ft.). She kept growing she till she reached 50 metres (ft.) and surprised her parents. Sky charged her parents and jumped into their arms, almost knocking them over. Sky’s hair was just about touching the ground and gave off a radiant azure blue glow. Rocssanna pulled her into a hug at the same time William had. “My little angels a not so little anymore. I knew.” Rocssanna was interrupted by William before she could continue.
“We knew you would be a lot taller as a Titan; we knew you were going to be special,” William said. He gave her another hug and felt her powerful body. She was strong in every way and was going just to get stronger. He glanced over to his wife and seen a look of recognition in her eyes.
“Yes, my little angel. You may not have wings, but your hair will let you soar into the hearts of many. I’ve always wanted to give you something, but it was too big for your tiny human-sized body to come inside, and I’ll give it to you before we eat. Rocssanna turned to hold Sky’s and William’s hands, pulling them through the door. Sky unknowing cast a spell over the ship before entering, the two Titans felt its power and the wave of spent magic they normally felt from everyone but Sky. They didn’t ask knowing it was more likely for the ship’s safety. The ship was huge inside and had a savoury smell of food she had never eaten before. They walked along a corridor till they came to a large foyer with a few plants and seven sliding doors. Rocssanna let go of their hands and motioned to one of the doors. “Wait in the kitchen, and I’ll get Sky’s inheritance. I should only take a few moments to retrieve it, and I’ll be back.” She turned and walked towards a door, and it slides open as she approached. Sky could see a huge canopy bed and a wardrobe off to the side. Before she could she where her mother went, Willian took her hand and pulled her in through another door.
It was a kitchen and small dining room with a bubbling pot on a stove. It gave off a smell that made Sky’s mouth water and a smile cross her face.
“What is for lunch daddy, I didn’t think I was hungry until I smelt the stew. I would have brought Jane over, but she just ate before we left. She wouldn't fit into a high chair even if you had one.” She smiled at her father.
“It’s a stew we tried to mimic with the meat and vegetables form the planet. It was good, but this is going to be so much better.” William said just as Rocssanna entered the kitchen holding an ornate jewelled case.
Rocssanna placed the case on the table with a huge smile on her beautiful face. She slid the case in front of Sky. “Open the case and receive your heritage what you were meant to have. If we weren’t exiled from the Titan race, this is what you would have been.” Her motioned Sky to open the case again. “Go ahead open the case. I can’t wait to see what you think of it.”
“Okay, okay mommy I’ll open it just hold your ponies.” She said, reaching over to open the case. Inside the case was a tiara made from diamonds set inside of what looked like shiny metal. It had blue, red and green gems set in patterns that meant nothing to Sky. She looked to her mother and asked her about the patterns of gems.
“it’s a saying amongst Titans. ‘In goodness, we trust, and in kindness, we rule. It is the queen’s crown I had when we were exiled not long ago. I never had the chance to return it. I’m sure if you were to return to the unknown space where the Titans reign. I’m sure when you're old enough, you could rule over the Titans if you want. They will see that you are the rightful person on sight. We taught you everything you needed to rule over any race, even Titans. Once you learned of magic, you started to radiate power. A power that lets you humble almost anyone. If you want just to be more assertive with anyone and most will buckle under your overwhelming presence. You must not use your gifts for selfish gain or petty wants. It is something all well-respected royalty are known for. If you start to be a petty, selfish person, you’ll find that you have no real friends. I’ll find yourself surrounded by people as cruel and selfish as you are.”
Watching Sky inspect the queenly crown you wouldn’t think she heard a thing her mother said. “I don’t want people to serve me because I have some kind of power. I just want to have true friends who care for me as much as I care for them. I will not rule over anyone that’s not what I want to do with my life.” Before Sky could say anything else, her stomach grumbled in protest at not being fed the delicious smelling food. She blushed and placed the tiara back onto the case without looking up. “I guess I’m hungrier than I thought being big must make you very hungry.” Sky said as she recomposed herself.
William laughed along with Rocssanna. “We don’t eat very much in our Titan size. That’s why the pot isn’t very large, and the bowls are smaller in comparison to their human forms. I think we process our food differently than in human form. So, I’ll start dishing out for us.” He paused to regard the time of day. “I guess it would be lunchtime now. I hope your apatite didn’t grow with you. If it did, I don’t think we have enough food for you.” William said with a smile. He slid a bowl in front of Sky.
Sky looked at the small bowl compared to what she was used to. She took the offered bowl, spoon, and started to eat her second lunch. Her eyes got large, and she let out a loud Mmm, “Yummy, this is good stew mommy, daddy. Did you or daddy make it? It’s a little overcooked, but it’s good enough to ask for seconds.” She said, sliding over her bowl to her father. He looked surprised at the fact she was able to finish it so quickly.
“Sky, my little angel, you should not eat so much as a Titan. I can barely finish my bowl, and your mother doesn’t look like she’ll finish her either.” William regarded his not so little daughter. “I guess you can have a little more do you still feel the magic you had? We can’t feel the magic after a few hours after regaining our Titan size.” He said after taking her bowl and started to dish out more stew for his daughter.
“Thank you, daddy, I can still feel the magic inside my wells. It’s still growing as far as I can tell, and it makes me hungry.” She said, eying the bowl as it was filled halfway, and he stopped. Sky motioned him to keep going, and he just chuckled at her eagerness to eat more. He was joining in his mirth by his wife. “I’m hungry, leave me alone. A growing lady has got to eat, and I’m still growing.” She said with a huff.
“Your magic is still building up, and it’s making you hungry still. I hope you don’t feel starved when you’re not eating. I didn’t know about how you got so hungry with the magic your body makes.” Rocssanna asked of her daughter stroking her long luxuriously soft hair.
“I don’t feel any pain if I don’t eat, I just feel like I can eat a little more. It’s as if I can always eat just a little more; I actually never feel full, just content.” She told her mother as she started to eat her second bowl of stew.
William stroked Sky’s hair as he started to tell her more of her heritage. “My little angel, your mother and I are from very long lineages of kings and queens. We are likely of the longest unbroken bloodlines the Titans have ever had. Tens of millions of years we have been of royal blood. It is in your blood you get your quickness of mind. The Titan ruled space is incredibly vast, and your mother and I are the first of our lines to mix blood. I think it gives you something all Titans want in a ruler. You’re a fresh blend of Titan royalty the likes we have never seen before. It’s unlikely to happen again because we were our parents, only children.” William’s eyes teared up slightly, and he reached to take Rocssanna’s free hand.
Rocssanna nodded to William in an unspoken gesture. “Even though we were exiled from Titan space. They told us if our children wanted to rejoin the Titan race. They would allow you to return and if you showed to right fortitude and strength of character, you might even be welcome as royalty. After hearing of your interactions with the Tranis, we realized your inborn desire to see justice done. You have an amazing gift to see from many points of view and see the right path. You were born to rule it’s in your blood. We want you to have a normal life until you’re older. You’ll get your chance to be royalty later.”

Rocssanna started speaking next. “We want you to be safe and make it through this mission. We know they need you and you won’t stop till it’s over. This mission, I believe, was given to Fred and his crew to be captured and turned into batteries. The fact that they were so close to this sector of space is not likely a coincidence. Fred has a gift of foresight, and I bet they were after it for themselves. Most likely, the pirates were there to capture everyone, including Fred and Joe found and taken into custody along with any mages and magical talismans. Once this is over, we want you to get the best education you can get. Now that we’re not on that backwards planet Bella Grande, you can excess the galactic web and get the information unfiltered.” Rocssanna nuzzled into Sky’s hair and sighed. “With your strength suppressed and your spell that will make you softer you’ll fit right in with your classmates. I just hope you remember to choose your friends wisely. You have a good sense of right and wrong. I just hope none of the new friends you make can slowly influence you to do something bad. Your father and I have done some pretty silly things that could have got us into a lot of trouble.” William squeezed Rocssanna’s hand in remembrance of the foolish acts that were not to be repeated out loud.
Sky knew they were pranks went bad and nothing more. She finished her second bowl and felt as sated as ever. Dessert would be perfect right now she thought to herself but didn’t want to put it to voice. “Thank you for lunch mommy and daddy it was a meal I won’t soon forget. My first Titan meal with the two Titans I love the most.” Sky hugged them both in turn but kept her mothers’ hand in hers. “Thank you for the royal tiara that will let me be Queen if I desire. Right now, I don’t want to even think of taking over the reign of any race. Did you not fight to stop Titans from ruling over all the other races? Why would you tell me I could rule over others”? Sky asked her parents with deep emotions laced within her voice.
William answered her. “Yes, we stopped the Titan from taking forcible rule. One the other hand you would be welcomed to take the rule once they see how you are. It would not take long for anyone to see who you would be good for their people.” William told his daughter. “You have yet to come into the true abilities of your monarchy aura, my little angel. That will come with time, as you get older and more mature. You will find less and fewer people questioning what you said and the decisions you make. That is why it is very important you get the best education possible.” William had a forlorn look on his face as he spoke. Rocssanna held his hand reassuringly.
Sky had a feeling that the near-death experience brought this talk on a little earlier than they wanted. A feeling of foreboding rippled through her as she thought of her parents near death as well. She knew that one day they could be silent to time. Tear formed in her eyes as she reluctantly thought of her parent’s possible deaths. “Mommy, daddy I will see that no harm will come to you during this mission and that you will see me become the beautiful and loving daughter you always wanted.”
“My cute little angel, you are the loving daughter we always wanted. We are waiting for your beauty to show past your swelling head. We love you as you are, and we will love you as you come into your true being.” Rocssanna said to Sky, giving her a kiss on the cheek with a smile. “Before you go back to the scout ship, we would like to see you wear the tiara, please,” Rocssanna said, pushing the case closer to Sky after removing the bowl from the table.
Sky reopened the case and went to place the tiara onto her head gently. As she put the tiara into place, the coloured gems lit up faintly. William and Rocssanna took note of the faint glow and said nothing. “It looks beautiful on you; it makes you look regal, like the princess you are. I think when you graduate high school you should wear it on your prom.” She told her daughter with admiration in her voice.
“Why should I wait for then, I could wear it on other special days too’? Is there something wrong with me wearing it too much, I haven’t broken anything in a long time”? Sky said with a pout.
“No, my little angel, it’s just that it is meant for older ladies to wear. It’s also very expensive, and it’s not a good idea to show it around. I would hate it to be stolen by someone before you get to wear it. I think wearing it when you’ve become an educated young lady would have more of profound meaning.” She tells her daughter as she moves the hair for one of Sky’s eyes.
“Okay mommy I can wait until then. It’s not like it something that goes with my clothes anyway. I’ll wait until then, and I’ll keep it with me safe around my neck as a locket or a choker. Unless you want to keep it till, I graduate and give it to me then, before the prom.” Sky said to her parents thinking of her future schooling with a smile.
“I guess we’ll have to be getting back to the mission. We’ve taken a lot of time for our own selfish pleasures; I know how much it means to you to save as many of the mages as possible. We had to make sure you knew a little more of your heritage in case something happens to us. We are not as indestructible as we once thought. We could have died without telling you about just what you really are.” William told her again reminded of his possible mortally during this mission. He was not to one to sugar coat anything for anyone, even his own daughter. “We love you and want nothing but the best for you. If you want to know anything else, it can wait until after the mission. We both enjoyed our time with you, and we hope everything goes well for you.”
“I love you and mommy too. I cast a spell over the ship to speed your time inside. As far as anyone from outside of this ship, six seconds went by since the door slide shut. So, we have a few more hours if you want, eighteen seconds isn’t a whole lot of time to spend with your family. I’ll have to take the casted spell before you move again. You would have a hard time working with everyone outside of our time variation.” Sky’s eyes lit up, and a smile spread across her face. “It would only be a problem for any shipment outside of the same time variation. If we were all in sync with each other, there would be no problem, and we could finish this mission in minutes if we use the tweaked hyper-speed spells too. They wouldn’t stand a chance. I just have to put a clone onto Little Tooth with Fred and Joe, and we cast the spells at the same time and bang, we’re all in sync with each other.” Sky said, nodding her head as she thought of it through more thoroughly before saying. “Yes, yes, yes, that will work quite well” under her breath to herself. “I just need to eat a lot more often if I’m going to make more clones and use that much magic to maintain them.”
Sky turned to her parents with the look of a sad puppy. “If only I had a few Titan meals shrunk down to snack on during this mission. That would be perfect hi calories and very compact. Of course, not just anyone could eat something like that. Just a few people alive could eat something like that. To most people, it would be like eating rocks or metal. No real way of digesting it. If only I could ask some super kind-hearted Titans to cook up such a small feast for a cute tiny Titan for her life-saving mission.” Sky said, giving the room a cursory glance around only to settle on her parents again.
William and Rocssanna both rolled their eyes at Sky’s obvious plea for food. Shaking their heads, they smile at the young girl they’re not so little girl. “All you need to do is ask for some food, and we would make somethings you can take with you. We even have some sweets you may like to take with you. It should only take an hour and a half or two, to make the food you would require.” William told Sky.
Rocssanna takes Sky’s hand into hers. “Before you get too ahead of yourself. You should ask Fred to see if he likes the idea you came up with and lets you execute it. You know how he likes to be in charge. He might even have ideas about why you shouldn’t perform the spells even. You're new to this combat situation, and he has years of experience in combat himself. Just give him a call before you do too much preparation in this.” She said to Sky, tracing her thumb around the back of her hand as she spoke.
“Oh yeah, he doesn’t like it too much when I make plans without consulting him first. I’m calling him right now. It shouldn’t take too long to convey my ideas on giving that extra boost of being in slower time dilation.” Sky paused as she reached out to resync with her clones. It didn’t take much even with her in another time field they were still communicating efficiently
Fred wondered how Sky had established the link with the new shields up briefly. Then it hit him it was Sky she made shield spells and plus she was always doing the impossible. The new visual communicating showed one of the large clones. He answered her call with a pleasant “Yes, how may I help you ensign Sky? Todd informed me of your parents getting free, and Jane was just telling me that you're having lunch with your parents. Weren’t you going to settle things with the aliens, are they going to leave you alone”? Fred asked Sky before she could start into her Ideas for the time shifts on all of the ships.
“Hi, captain Fred sir. I’m finished with the aliens for now. Most of the castings I use will send them the spent magic. It’s actually easier than inverting the spells, and it has the same effect of hiding a casted spell. I could make up talismans that will take the spent magic to them. Their god Tranosius would love that.” She paused before deciding to wait on making the magical items. She had more questions to answer and started again. I’m actually contacting you with the idea that just came to me over dinner. Right now, the time I’m in is hardly moving, and I must communicate through one of me that is in normal time. I’m thinking on top of that; it is creating ten more clones. To help with the fighting when the chaos magic is in heavy use, and she and her parents almost shut down from the nauseating effect it had on Titans. I could use them to simultaneously casting the same time spell over each of our ships. That way there won’t be a problem with communications between our ships. Once we start moving, it would be as if the rogue mages would be standing still. It would make the mission go so quickly, and we would most likely be able to save everyone alive from the time we cast the spells.” Sky told Fred hoping he would see the benefits to her plan.
“Let me get this straight you talked to aliens and met their god. You seem to think meeting a god happens to everyone. I’ll have you know that not many people ever meet a person who has met someone who seen a god. I’ve only ever heard about gods in stories, and here you are telling me you met one.” Fred didn’t know what to make of the young lady. She could do so much with her talents and magical power. He considered what Sky told him about her plans with more clones and the time spell. “How are you going to have enough magic to support twenty-nine mages using it? I know you have huge wells, but even you don’t an infinite source of magic.”
Sky answered Fred with something he should have come to expect. “I called for the god to come back and guide them to a new planet. They were mistreating some of their own people, and I couldn’t stay to help more. I had to help them somehow, and I needed someone I could trust, and the Tranis would trust. It’s a long story, but he left for a while until I called him back. He thanked me for helping his people and gave me a blessing. So, I didn’t have to worry about them attacking me again. As for my magic wells are growing fast. I’m going to be in my tiny form eating shrunken down Titan food to fuel my body metabolizing magic. Without the Tranis stealing my magic well is almost double of what it was when I was last tested. Their god Tranosius told me I had been given these gifts for a reason and that there is a higher purpose for me to full fill.”
Fred was listening to Sky and couldn’t believe what he was hearing. If what she was saying was true, there was more than one god in her life. Someone was guiding her life along for a purpose of an unknown goal. This mission was not the end of Sky’s roll for the unnamed God or gods. He wasn’t receiving any premonitions, but in every fibre of his being told him this was just a start to what her life was to accomplish. “I get the same feeling that all of this is just a beginning to what is to come in your life. I don’t see anything with my gift, yet I feel deep down that something powerful is guiding things along.” Fred said to the clone before him. He knew it was Sky inside her he was talking to. He contemplated the time dilation spells she proposed and what he would be able to do with ten more Sky’s. He heard from Todd how they did in battle, and it was very impressive, to say the least.
“I don’t know what else I can do to help any more than just keep doing what I was doing. I want to do more, I want to help everyone, but what can I do”? Sky said, trying to convey what she wanted to say that emphasized her true feelings. She hoped Fred would understand that she would do almost anything to help with the mission.
Fred heard Sky plead with him to come up some way she could do more. He tried to think of something she could do to help even more than she already had. He didn’t think there was anything she could do more than she has. He was reluctant to think of something for her to do. “I think your clones will be welcome in any number from how Todd described how well they fought. Still, I should think about the time spell you seem to like to use so much. So how do you think being in slower time will help us in a faster time? How is it going to work”?
Sky thought about how to put it into something he would understand. It wasn’t easy to put it to words on how it would work. She tried to think of an analogy to use to explain how it would work. “Think of two clocks both in the same timeline at first. Once they start to move the slower time dilation allows you more time to do things. In ordinary time, you could walk one kilometre in a minute. In slower time, time slows not you’re the physical objects under the spell. That way you could walk six times the distance in the same minute. Would you see the person in a slower time? I don’t think you would see them because even though your time is faster, in the slower time, they would actually move faster than sight. Do you understand what I’m getting at? I’m not sure how I can explain it any different for you to understand it better.”
Fred pondered what Sky had just told him. Can slower actually mean faster when the speed of time is in the same oriented time. As he pondered the implication of how the time cast would work. His face brightened as he started to see how it would work during the current mission a how it could have worked in ones in the past. “I believe that your time casting could work, as you say. I’m again your student in your skewed vision of how magic works. Only you can see so far outside of the box as to create your own circle.” He took some time to think of where they could meet with a few of the new clones so he could get the extra crew and the new spell cast on the ships. He thought having the time casting put on the captive ships would be a good idea too. “Do you think that you could put the same time casting over the captive ships too? That way, we can still control them remotely and take out even more of the fighters without abducted magic users.”
“Yes, I believe we can that care of that easy enough. Once we get a few of me on your ships, we can cast the spells all at the same time. I have to start soon, I while I can slow time down, I can’t go back, as far as I know.” Sky told Fred as she got ready to leave her parents ship. She was going to use the dust on the surface of the planet again. It seemed to work well enough for the last two times. When she stepped out onto the planet surface and looked out on to the scout ship, she had just left. It looked tiny to her new size, her true size it looked tiny. She could pick up the ship in her hands with ease. She most likely could before, but it would have caused structural damage by her two tiny hands. She briefly thought of taunting Jane with a childish, ‘who is tiny now.’ With a second thought, that’s just what she did. As she approached the tiny ship, part of her awareness started to process of making the ten clones.
Jane blinked to clear her eyes as a Titan size. Sky stepped out from the ship that dwarfed her own. Sky’s parents stood behind her and gave her a wave before ducking back into the ship as Sky walked toward her small swirls of dust formed around her. It didn’t take very many steps for her to cross the distance between the two ships. Sky bent down to look up the ramp at a surprized Jane. Jane saw out of the swirls of dust ten large clones of Sky come forward each walked up the ramp. Jane stood to the side on the ramp and allowed them to cramp the ship further. Jane was wondering why sky had an actual huge smile on her face. “What’s up Sky have you gained a little weight?” Jane said still in shock of seeing a young girl who used to reach her chin not ten minutes ago.
Sky was still smiling when she asked her. “Why am I too fat to board your tiny ship. So, are you up for a sparring match? So, did you shrink, or did I get a little taller”? Sky was having a little fun with Jane.
Jane smiled and spoke to her with the mission in mind. “Well if you had your fun with teasing me with your new size, I believe we should get moving soon. Todd is going to meet us to take some of the clones to Little Tooth and the other ships under Fred’s command. This is the closest I’ve ever been to a Titan. It’s a little intimidating having to look up to someone who could swallow you whole. I’m glad you’re on our side.” As Jane spoke, Sky shimmered and started to shrink down. Slowly at first and speeding up as she got smaller. When she got down to 3 metres (9’.10”), she stopped shrinking and gave Jane a hug.
“I kind of like being the biggest person on the team. The only problem is none of my clothes will fit other than what I’m wearing. So, I guess a cute little me is what you’ll have to settle with.” As Sky spoke, she shimmered again and started to shrink once more.
Jane noticed a backpack that didn’t shrink with her anymore. “What’s in the backpack Sky? It looks kind of heavy and stuffed full of something.” She said letting Sky walk past into the ship and looked at the pack bulging with its contents.
“Oh, it’s Titan food that is just shrunken down. It will be like eating two meals with every mouthful. I’ll need all of the food I can get with the magic I’m using to keep twenty of me animated using magic and using 1000 litres (264 gallons) of magic being used in total. I think if I take a bit every ten or so minutes, I can maintain my magic level.” She total Jane, the small scout ship was packed For a few minutes until two walls seemed to get further away.
Jane didn’t know what to say like one or two of the Sky’s enlarged the small corridor where the fourteen large clones waited. Jane was just surprised that the once highly guarded guild secret and difficult spell casting was so easily cast by a girl new to magic. “Thanks, it was getting a little crowded in here. It’s a good thing your clones don’t make any heat or even breath air.” With a raised eyebrow. “Or do they?” Jane asked the last question out of curiosity.
Sky smiled up at Jane, tilling her head side to side. “I can do both, and I don’t need to with my large bodies. I can use magic, and all of me are connected through it. Right now, I have one mind and twenty-one bodies. I can think with all twenty-one separately, but I still know everything they do and think.” Sky said, looking over the large parts of her and Jane. For most beings, the sight of twenty-one pairs of eyes and the feeling of bodies would be too much. For Sky and her Titan ancestry, it with as easy as breathing.
It might also have something to do with the multiple sentient entities within her body. No one knew just how smart the magic producing plants were. No one knew just how much their integration helped the two races mental growth. It was likely that they were both enhanced mentally for a Titan that was a feat of its own. Sky’s mental strength was unknown and off any known charts.
