Chapter Fourteen
New Crew In Coming
Sky had a brief look of disappointment at first she was going to have to wait for the rest of the story. Most of her questions were answered, but she still wanted to know how they got to the planet they lived on for nine years. The excitement of meeting four more magic users was something amazing. One of the new crew members may be like herself, super tuff and super strong. She hoped at the very least they would get along and be friends. Sky already had a best friend, but there was no rule against have more than one, was there.
Rocssanna had to laugh at Sky’s visible excitement. She drank the scolding hot tea like it was cool water and took the last bit of her biscuit. Sky looked around at where to wash the teacup when she looked down at the delicate handle powdered in her nervous hand. “I was being so careful, and now I broke it. I’m so sorry Mommy, Daddy I didn’t mean to what can I do to make it up to you”? Sky said almost in tears.
William smile and ruffled her hair. “Dear little beastie, just fix it with your magic.” Sky smile remembering she could now fix everything he broke with magic.
“Thanks, Daddy I’ll fix it and clean everything once you’re done.” Sky was hopping from foot to foot waiting for them to finish. Sky was wondering how two people who could move faster than sight could move so slowly.
William smiled and took his time to finish his tea and last biscuits. Rocssanna was almost just as bad as William at being slow. Sky was looking at the broken teacup and put what she could together on the footlocker. “Oh, Daddy I’ve got to change the other barracks on the men’s sides. I’ll be back in a few minutes it shouldn’t take too long”. With not another word Sky disappeared out the door, and Conny fazed from sight.
Rocssanna turned to William and smiled leaned over as if with a stooped back and in a voice like an elderly human. “We can’t keep up with young ones these days, can we? Here let me help you up, your old coot”. She said laughing to herself.
William joined he ever teasing, ever-loving wife in a good heartfelt laugh. Although bad things happen, you’ve got to also enjoy the few pleasures in life as they happen. Begin over a thousand years old they laugh many times and will continue doing so whenever possible. They placed the teacups down and could here Sky coming. Sky appeared just as William and Rocssanna opened the door. Sky looked ecstatic. I can see the ship out there coming in fast. They seem as excited as we are, I wonder if they’re going to like me, find me a freak, or even maybe a monster”? Sky’s face suddenly seemed dejected and solemn.
“They’re going to love you, my cute little angel. How could they not just don’t squeeze them too hard and hurt anyone right away”? Rocssanna said ruffling her hair. “I know you’re not on duty till tomorrow, but maybe after fixing the teacup and straightening up the room, you should change.”

William gazed at Rocssanna’s dress. “We should do the same and greet our new crewmembers in our uniforms,” William said pulling Rocssanna into his side walking out the door.
Sky With a few gestures moved the footlockers back into place and used her magic to fix the teacup with a bit more fire to wash the teapot and other cups. Before getting dressed into her ensign uniform. She was thinking of wearing the formal uniform but thought it was a little too much. Once she was dressed she headed to the bridge with an odd feeling in the pit of her tummy. “I guess I’m more nervous than I thought.” Sky said to herself
Sky entered the bridge and knew something was wrong. Fred and Joe were both on their consoles scanning the space around them. “Captain Fred Sir. What’s wrong, why are you scanning around our ships there is nothing out here for light years? Why the panic”? Sky said looking around seeing nothing even in the other dimensions she could see.
Fred glanced up to Sky briefly. “The scout ship was attacked by some type of unknown magic and hit one of the crew members. They have a hard time dealing with the situation. We’re trying to bring the ship in by remote, but safety locks are preventing it”.
Sky asked, “Captain Fred Sir. Where would you like the ship”? Fred almost slapped himself remembering how Sky could use telekinesis on things that were outside of the ship with what seemed unlimited range.
“Joe head down to the loading dock we’ll bring the whole ship in, bring a med-kit too. Sky you’ll have to get the thrusters on the scout ship disengaged somehow before you go down into the cargo hold and make it big enough for the scout ship”. Fred said to Joe and Sky as he got up to head to the cargo hold himself.
Sky holding out her arms brought them around like she did the nets. “I already disengaged the thrusters and now have complete access to the ship's systems. I turned off the red alert and prepped the ship for landing on the deck. Do you want me to make it just big enough or comfortable to walk around”? Sky couldn’t understand how Fred always made an odd-looking face when she asked some questions.
“Sky we’ll need room to move around. So, make sure there is lots of room in the cargo hold”. Fred blurted out in frustration with himself as much as Sky. She was a super smart person couldn’t she think of things on her own. Fred was upset with himself for treating Sky like a misbehaving child when she was helping more than anyone. I guess this is jealousy rearing its ugly head. Fred thought to himself. Before he could say some apology, Sky was not where she was seconds ago; she had left for the cargo hold.
Joe was entering at a full run when Sky appeared before him. What happened next, he was going to tell his children’s, children’s children? Sky stood still and magical energy surrounded her in a fraction of a second. Then everything in the cargo bay seemed to get smaller and further away. Till the ceiling went from twelve metres to over thirty metres. The room looked over six times the size it was before. The cargo bay doors oddly stayed the same in relation to the room. A ship the size of Little Tooth could now fly through the bay door with room to spare. Sky stretched out her arms and as gently grabbing something closed her finger. As she brought her hands and arms pointing towards the bay doors, the scout ship came into view. The ship entered the open cargo bay doors; a magic barrier kept the room from venting into space. The scout ship looked tiny in the huge room, even with the net and her house halfway out of a pocket space bag were dwarfed by the size. Joe patted Sky on the head unable to ruffle her hair. “Good job, a little big though you might have to make it smaller maybe once Fred sees it.
