“Well, I hope you come and lets us know when you decide to leave us, we can help you find a nice place to live, where do you fancy on moving to the east, west, north, or south”? Mrs. Perchmont said with Mr. Perchmont nodding in the background half-heartedly. “We haven’t decided yet on where to go for now. We are still learning about this planet and the weather patterns and the eco-systems. We have a lot to do, and it’s not going to get done while standing out here, so I wish you goodnight”. Rocssanna was almost pleasant in her interaction with their extremely nosey and persistent neighbours. The middle-aged couple begrudgingly went on their way home giving glaring glances back every so often. The Knights never saw their glares because they were in the house almost as soon as the couple turned around. Rocssanna turned to Willy once inside him she addressed in a quiet voice. “They have been spying on us, or at least overly curious on our lives. Do you think the Parchment’s are reporting any of their findings and observations? If they are, someone might have guessed at my pregnancy and be very interested in this magic spikes Mrs. Perchmont thinks I have. Let us call the archmage and see what he says about them”.
“I think we should say anything out loud while we are at home,” William said out loud. The rest of their conversation went unspoken “I think we are being watched and or monitored. I also think they know something is going on between the archmage and us. I hope he doesn’t get into any trouble with the other mages and sorceresses, we know we’re still resistant to magic, but a fight against mages and sorceresses you fought alongside seems ironic. We fought with them for a just cause; I hope we don’t have to fight for our freedom as we fought for everyone”.
“I don’t think it will come to that, but our life will become much more complex if and after they find out about our daughter. We’ll have to leave tomorrow or the next day. I don’t like the way the Parchment’s were questioning us they must know something is going on and it’s about my magic. I didn’t even think we being watched so closely by the magic users. If it weren’t so late, I would have been tempted to run to the Arch-Mages house and stay till we leave”.
“You know that would look too suspicious to anyone who cared think.“
“That is why we’re still here and not running to the Arch Mage’s house to escape the induction to high born life. It was just a fleeting thought that was not one I would have acted on even on a whim. I don’t feel comfortable now that I know we are so closely watched”.
“We are leaving this planet tomorrow. We’ll pack in the morning and put everything in the large pocket space I bought last week. I might even try dragging the house into the pocket space I’m not sure how it works, but it will fit anything put in it. I don’t want to raise our daughter here on this planet of power-hungry mages. Well, not power hungry just hungry for knowledge, hungry for increasing power. I want to raise our daughter in a quiet town without her being poked and prodded to find out how she’s got so much magic”.
"I'm not sure if she will be the only one being tested once her magic is found so excessive. Well, let’s get washed up and get to bed. Hopefully, we're not being watched all night I think will not get too much sleep knowing we have been watched for so long”.
William looked around their house and didn’t see anything out of place. “I don’t think we’re being spied on by any tec. I think they use magic to do the surveillance on the house from where ever they are. I hope they can’t see us through the walls, but sense as if a heat signature. We will ask the arch mage tomorrow what kind of spell they would use”.
After a nearly sleepless night, Willy and Rocssy woke to a dark and cloudy sky. The morning was cold, but Willy and Rocssy never notice the cold. On the walk, over to the Arch mage’s house, they could feel magic all around them. The Knights were getting to the Arch-Mages house when four mages and a sorceress approached them. The five were standing in the middle of the walkway with no intention of moving. The two Titans could just push them out of the way because direct magic could not harm them and any physical attack would take too much power. The Knights were not worried about the magic users but why there were there for an unknown reason. When William was pushing past them, the sorceress stepped in front of them holding up her hand. “I don’t think you know me, Mr. and Mrs. Knight; I am Miss Plymouth the superior of The Magical Board of Education. The four men with me are high mages and are professors at the local university of magical arts. Miss Plymouth half turned to point at the men.” This is Davy Jones, Jonah Snife, Klance Stought, and David Teflon.” They were well dressed and built like muscle-bound brutes. William thought to himself even with magical augment strength no one can match the strength of a Titan. These people here have no idea of who we are, really brave, or have overconfidence in themselves. He reached for Rosanna’s hand and attempted to step around the four mages and the sorceress. “Sorry for being rude, but we’re in a hurry to see the Arch-Mage. “William said as he tried to rush past. In one smooth motion, Miss Plymouth stepped back in front of the couple to block their path. “Excuse me, but I would like you to answer a few questions of some magical reading coming from your house after most people go to sleep. So, we want to know what, or if, your hiding anything from us? The magical aura is far beyond that of most mages, and it has us most perplexed.”
“You are not to be hiding anything from us; we are here to help you not give you any grief. Untrained, that magic you have can be extremely dangerous. Mr. Jones interjected
Jahah Snife was inpatient to interject his two coins’ worth. "If you have any talismans that augment the little magic you do have, to levels that high we are willing to pay you an unbelievable amount of currency of your choice to study it. If you try and hide it from the Mages Counsel, we could also obtain it legally through the courts as preventing magical advancements of epic proportions.”
Mr. Teflon also had something to say to the young couple that was none to kind. “We are here to find out what your hiding that is giving you so much magical power. If we find out, you two are hiding anything out of malicious intent we will not let him lenient and punish with extreme prejudice. I hope for your sake you are not concealing anything from us? We have found ways of dealing with Titans over the last fifteen years of war with your people. Don’t give us a reason to hold you against your will.”
As Mr. Teflon finished spouting his foolish rant, the Arch-Mage walked up to the group crackling with magical power. He did not have a smile on his face. Miss. Plymouth saw him approach and she rolled her eyes as if to say what now, another mage wasting magic for intimidation. His probably has a talisman with him to boost his strength, she thought.
Miss Plymouth stepped up to the Arch-Mage and squared off with him face to face telling him.” I’m not afraid of you, and I hold just as much magic as you do, I don’t choose to flaunt it. It is just wasteful and arrogant to display your power for no good reason.” She raises her hand to fend off the Arch Mages protest as he went to speak. “I have no time to dwell in your little protest of their treatment. They are hiding something from us that could bring about the next magical renascence or our downfall. We cannot let this go uninvestigated any longer for the safety and advancement of the magical realm.” Miss. Plymouth looked very smug after her little speech.
The Arch-Mage doesn’t even look phased by what she said. He just walked up even closer to Miss Plymouth with magical power arching around him causing her hair to rise as if static electricity is passing through her. “You have no idea of who and what I am, do you? I am called the Arch-Mage not because I’m an archmage, but because I am The Arch-Mage. The power I hold and show is the magic l must release to keep from larger unwanted arcs of power. As for my status on this planet and in this galaxy clam also known as the Overseer. So, if you want to start something feels for the ambient magic and see where it’s going?”
Miss. Plymouth started to pale in recognition of who he was. She realized who the man in front of her was not just any archmage but one of the legions. “I’m sorry for my arrogant behaviour to your guest, but we know they are trying to hide something from us. Whatever they are hiding it could make them more powerfully even you. We wanted to find out what made them that powerful magically. It only seemed to happen late at night and only in their home. If you teach them how they use it, that would be devastating for us all! Could you let us de this investigation before you teach them anything else?”
Mr. Knight holding his wife’s hand came up to the Arch-Mage and Miss. Plymouth before speaking. “I can settle this easily, my beautiful wife and I can take a quick lie test if you want, tomorrow. Today is an important day for us and the Arch-Mage so we can’t go today. I can truly say to you if we had not gone against the other Titans the war would still be going on and many more deaths. We went against them because of the fact they wanted supreme rule over all races. Had we taken the side of the Titans for the total rule of all races, we would be your King and Queen. My wife and I are not out for power because we already have it through our racial heritage. Even among Titans, we were giants amid giants. We do not need magic to make us more powerful than we already are. Any magic we would or can have would be just a convenience for some parts of life not, a necessity. Magic others hold against us is like a fly to humans; it can’t hurt us but can be annoying as hell. Questioning us is an attack on our honour and our dignity which we take great offence to. We went against our race that changed the tide of the war in your favour. We killed kin to prevent galactic tyranny to all other races. My wife and l are loyal to our code of ethics, live and let live; we will kill non-sentient animals to eat and not for sport, and kill a sentient being only in extreme self-defence of others. We are practically indestructible by almost any means only Titans can kill Titans. So, if you want to think we are hiding something go ahead, we will only harm those meaning to harm our friends or us.” William took Rocssanna in his arms and considered the mage's eyes one after the other. “If you still want us to take that test tomorrow, we’ll see you in the morning I but don’t expect any kind words, and if you try to harm us in any way, we are small by choice. We allowed you to bind us in these small bodies with magic, which we can reverse on a whim. You have no idea what our true forms are so don’t push us.”

The Arch-Mage looked to the men and woman in front of the young couple. “I will not have them subjected to any lie test for two people who saved Trillions of sentient beings of many races. I will not subject two of the most selfless beings of any race to test their integrity and tarnish their good name and deeds.” With an unseen force, the Arch-Mage pushes the group of dumbstruck magic users to the side with no effort.
William paused his story because Fred calls for the crew to assemble on the bridge. Little did the three in the story know they walked away from a turning point of a diabolical mind?
The Part The Knights Never Knew
Miss. Plymouth tried to make a kind of insincere apology which fell in deaf ears. The Arch-Mage and Knights walked by silently in casual steps towards the Arch Mages vast estate. She in her head was by no means done with her investigation, the magic that was radiating from the house was too intense just to let go. She wanted the power for everyone how could she not, there eras too much to leave in the hands of untrained beings. She read reports that the Titans had no gift for using magic and no real need for it. Why should two beings have such immense power when they were already, by their admission not at needing it? She turned to the group of mages and spoke lowly to them. This is by no means over; we must know the secrets of their power and share it with the mage world.” She waited for the three people to enter the house before speaking again. “No, you think the Titans are as powerful as they claim? It might be difficult to find out the secret of their magical power?”
Mr. Teflon was not to be kept quiet for a moment longer. “Those two don’t frighten in me in the least. I’ve killed Titans before in the Great War, and they’re not that tuff. I bet I could take those two on myself if I had to. The Titans I killed were over twelve metres tall of solid muscle. “
Mr. Snife gave David a look of surprise at his stupidity. “Do you even know what a real Titan looks like, a baby Titan is over twelve metres tall? Unattended baby Titans have been known to eat smaller. Beings who get too close alive in one bit. What you fought, if you did fight anything was a giant. Titans can be over sixty metres tall and are immune to magic. Some Titans can nullify magic over a certain distance, so I have heard. “
Klance was listening to the two mages talking and just wanted to go back to his studies. This was too much after finding out about the archmage, actually was The Arch Mage A.K.A. the Overseer how he was not even sure about the two small Titans. I was one of the top ten mages you get involved in a lot of intimidating tactics. He was here just for magical backup and support if things went south. “I am going home to reflect on what happened here this morning. I don’t need this kind of trouble in my life. I did not know they were the Titans of Legends. If I had, I would not have come and wasted my time. I worked with them in the background on a mission they are and have more power than you can imagine. They are practically a race of living gods and need no magic. So, they would not covet something that gives them more magical power although they never use magic before more their bodies and near immortal lives are the embodiment of magic.”
“You met the Knights before and didn’t know who they were when you saw them, I don’t believe you,” Jahah said as he kind of puffed up like a roster.
“When I saw them the last time, I think Mr. Knight was seventy-two metres tall. I was in a plane circling him as he is picking up a huge boulder to throw at a Titan over ten kilometres away. So, I didn’t get a good look at him”. Klance wasn’t happy with Jahah comment as if he would have recognized him being such a size difference. “I would have never questioned the knights of legends of any wrongdoings after what they did for us. They killed many of their kind in the name of galactic freedom. If they want to keep powerful talismans away from anyone, I will trust their judgment to be for our good.”
Mr. Teflon had something to say about that too. “They have no right to judge for us to know or have in anything that is magic. Magic is for the magic wielders to decide if there is anything to be learned or not. Many talismans of old were lost to us, along with the knowledge of how they died with the mage who made it. It is thinking like that that keeps powerful out of the hands of mages who fought the Titans.” Mr. Teflon was silent for a moment of reflection. “My parents were killed by Titan’s right near the start of the Titan war. They knew what the Titans were up to and tried to create a weapon that could kill them. They were killed ruthlessly by those animals.”
All the mages fell silent in total shock at Mr. Teflon admission of his parent’s may have a part in starting the Titan war. They all looked to him in a new way; he was not to be trusted with any powerful talismans or dangerous incarnations Miss. Plymouth didn’t like magic kept from the masses, but she could see now there were always exceptions to every rule.
Miss Plymouth was now reconsidering what to do, pursue the magic the Knights might hold, or the involvement the Teflon family have had in starting or maybe even causing the Titan war.
David realized he said too much after seeing the look of apprehension in everyone’s eyes. He now knew that these fellow mages were not what he thought they were. He was hoping they hated the Titans as much as himself. He was going to have to take his shared research to some mages who shared his hate of the Titans. As far as David was concerned all Titan had to die. The research was of unheard of magic transfer incantations breaking Several magic user’s taboos. Unknown to the mage who was helping him it was for not an innocent means of drawing for magic from an unconscious person. He found his anonymous colleague on a secure magic forum for classified magical research. The mage needed to drain off magic from a possible, unwilling person or one who was incoherent for their safety and those around him. The mage wouldn’t give specifics of the situation but assured him it was for the non-nefarious reasons, unlike his own. After he had given the mage a few ideas, he ran with it. The mage was a genius and came up with several ideas and shared them all with him thinking they were of kindred spirits. The ideas he gave were not even his really; they were from his parent’s hidden research. From what he remembered they weren’t too popular with the magic user’s guild and were constantly being watched for some reason, he very found out why. Now he had a good idea why they were trying to find a way of taking someone’s affinities and gifts for their own. The unidentified mage gave him a good start on where his parents went wrong. For being a genius, he was pretty gullible. “I’m the one to talk,” David said to himself. “Now I’ll be watched, and they might even investigate my recent research. They won’t find my unintentional cohort, but I left digital fingerprints all over restricted files. After seeing the suspicion in my colleague's faces, I was going to have to leave soon, very soon. Miss Plymouth Is one tenacious hound once she has a scent of distrust she is almost unstoppable.
The next day David Teflon was on an emergency trip to see his sick sister on a distant planet. He wasn’t a very social person, so no one questioned his lie. After receiving his ticket, he spotted the Arch-Mage escorting an elderly couple on the same flight. He thought it strange but never gave it much thought. When he looked around again, he also spotted Miss Plymouth along with the other three men that were with them the day before. David was nervous as they drew closer; they spotted the Arch-Mage with the old couple. Miss Plymouth stopped and talked to the mage as the other three continued walking by. They seemed to be continuing the search, and he walked quickly to get out of sight.
David thought he was in the clear. Shortly after boarding, there was an announcement the flight would be delayed due to uncontrollable circumstances. David looked around at his fellow passengers and spotted the elderly couple that was with the Arch-Mage. They looked a touch nervous as they looked around also. David ducked down so they wouldn’t see him. To him, they looked familiar in a nagging way he had seen this pair before, but it didn’t come to him from where. David was now worried they were coming for him and he wished he had worn a disguise. That is when it hit him like a hammer. His mind reeled at the possible reasons why the couple was leaving so soon after getting there and now having magic. This had to be a ploy for Titans learning to wield magic. The Titans are just as devious more so than his parent’s thought. He had to get on with his new mission even if it made him into a monster for now. He will be the hero once he had the power to subdue the evil Titans and their plot to rule over all. The ship was going in the wrong direction though it was going deeper into known space. He, himself was going to get a connected flight to go deeper still. It was going to be a long flight if he was going to stay concealed from the pair. Looking out a port window passed a little child steaming it up at the bottom. He saw the Arch-Mage and Miss. Plymouth in what seemed to be a heated argument. The Arch-Mage finally waved a hand at the space cruiser and the announcement was made take off would be short. "Sorry for the delay." the Arch-Mage said to the people on the ship as it take off to their new future.
