Ren was sitting in the middle of Jona Village waiting for his sister. Vulcan was sitting on top of his head looking around at everything and taking in all of the new sights and smells. He had left Crale after making himself a 'Lost Brigade' cloak. He used the new horse he bought before he left, which was currently in the stable of the town inn, and was very pleased with the speed of travel. It only took Ren a few days to reach Jona instead of two weeks. While he was traveling Moonlight Arts released an update so he had to log off. During that time Ren and Nicole worked out where they were going to meet in Jona. Logging back a Notification popped up informing the players what the update had changed or added. There were a few thing that players would have to find out for themselves but they did tell the players about a change in how affinities worked. The boosts affinities gave were changed affinities now changed the appearance of players based on the rank of the affinity. For Ren the color of his eyes changed to a storm gray and if he wasn't careful he would let off small lightning bolts and start looking like a walking thunder storm. Ren also got a new skill call [Affinity Sync].

Ren was over whelmed by [Affinity Sync]. The new update changed the boost affinities gave so Ren now had a speed boost. In New Reality Online a player's max speed was equal to their agility divided by 10 plus ten so Ren had a max speed of almost 17 mph normally but with the boost he now had a max speed of 30 mph and that want the limit for him either. If he used [Affinity Sync] his speed, which is already boosted by his affinity with lightning, would get boosted to a mind-melting 680 mph. When Ren did the math he had to sit down for a few minutes. He could go nearly the speed of sound for a short while if he wanted to and it would only increase as he raised his agility. He began to wonder why the Moonlight Arts would include such a game breaking mechanic until he remember that getting one's affinity that high would be incredibly difficult for most people to get and having a cool down of five days in game would mean that you wouldn't want to use it unless you had to. After He calmed down Ren continued on, His sister would be arriving in the game soon and he wanted to be there when she started.

Ren didn't know when his sister would show up nor did he know what she would look like but she had told him last time they talked what the name she was going to use was so all he had to do was look for a new player named Inocri. As he waited Ren worked on some gear for his sister to use instead of the normal starter gear. He was making her gloves, a vest, and arm guards since she was adamant on playing a hand-to-hand combat character and using her martial arts skills in the game. The gear wouldn't be the highest quality he could make because Nicole said she wouldn't accept anything he made her that was too far above the standard equipment most players had until she felt like she was good enough to earn it. Ren had already finished the vest and the arm guards since they were relatively simple to make and was currently working on the glove. The vest and arm guards had light-weight metal rings he had got from the town smith sewn into them to increase their defense without increasing the weight too much. For the glove he was putting small iron studs on the knuckles to increase their damage output but he had to be careful not to increase it too much or Nicole wouldn't take them.
Ren had just finished the gloves when a female player still wearing the starter cloths walked up to him. She stood around 5'8", had fiery red hair that reached down to her lower back and was pulled back in a pony-tail. Sticking out of her head was a pair of short, pointed, yellow-gold horns that started just behind the hairline and curved back, following the curve of her skull. She had light tan skin yellow dragon-like eyes. The rest of her was completely human and all together made them look rather attractive. Ren would have been one of the many taken by her looks if not for the fact that he knew who she was.
"Hey Bro, were you waiting long?" Nicole asked when got close enough
"Not really." Ren answered, "Here, these are for you" he said, handing Nicole the gear he made her.
Nicole took the gear and looked it over before nodding her head in approval and donning the equipment and going through a few maneuvers to test them out. After a few minutes Nicole walked back to Ren and sat down next to him.
"So what’s the plan?" She asked.
"That depends on what you want to do. We could go around looking for quest, go exploring, train for a month. It's all up to you, we just have to stay within 10 miles of the village for your first month." Ren replied.
Nicole though for a few moments before answering.
"Let go out and explore the surrounding area. I'd die of boredom if i just ran around doing quests in the village," She said.
"Awesome," Ren said, "We'll just need to go get some supplies then we can head out. I have the perfect place in mind to start"
