Ch. 8 Map marker, and damn is it cold.

Awaking to a new set of senses Chatum found that he now had a long tail that could be moved like an arm, scales that helped protect his body without them being uncomfortable and a new set of ears as well as a pair of wings that folded and then disappeared into his back. “Human ears are fragile; I feel like these can help with balance a lot more than my old ones”.

{You are correct Sir, previously if you had any damage or had your eardrums pop you would lose balance. It is required as Dragonoids can fly.}

“Makes sense, where is the group of 10,000?”

{They are further north Sir; they are around the -30 C area to build up a tolerance.}

“Okay, I’m going to go start collecting tree branches to make a fire, is there any predators in the local area?”

{No sir, only herbivores, most of the predators are further north or south.}

“Perfect, any way to make an axe? Never really was the outdoor type.”

{It is not in my database or your memories sir, I am unable to help until my program finishes analysing better ways to create tools for primitive beings.}

“That’s fine, as long as I can find branches, I’ll be fine.”

Walking towards the massive mountains that stood before Chatum, there were plenty of trees; They were fur wood with beautiful brown and green colours, and even the snow looked amazing, it was like everything was glowing.

Picking up broken branches and finding a little cave, Chatum scanned the area for food. It wasn’t a requirement currently, but he wanted to at least get a grip on the surroundings.

{Exp Gained}

“Turn Exp notifications off please, I bet the amount of stuff I’m going to do is going to increase Exp like there’s no tomorrow.”

{Yes sir, would you like me to give everyone that option?}

“Yes, please do, have a little toggle next to level.”

{Done, I will take suggestions that others say but will check with you if it's major.}

“Perfect. Now time to start a fire” Chatum imagined his grimoire forming, and so it did.

Appearing before Chatum was a book-like object that had galaxy and nebular swirls with stars of all colours flashing and then dying out.

Reading it Chatum realised there were no spells, and he could only create one currently, He checked his status.

{Name: Chatum}

Title: God of Creation and Chaos (100X Boost to Attributes)

Level: 1 (Toggle Experience gain notifications?)

Free Stat points: 0

Strength: 1 (10HP/H 100 Max)

Dexterity: 1 (10 mph) Not affected by boost.

Mind: 1 (100 Mana regen per day)

Will: 1 (1 Spell Slot) Not affected by boost.

Soul: 1 (100 Maximum Mana)

“Can I convert any of this mana into aether?”

{Yes sir, but the rate is 100 Mana per 9 Aether. Everyone else will have a 10x multiplier but you have a 100x multiplier.}

“Good to know.” Looking towards his grimoire Chatum imagined the words Fireball, with a pulse the grimoire recognised the English words and so responded. The words Fireball engraved themselves onto his grimoire and an image of a ball of fire appeared. Aiming it towards the pile of sticks he had created he activated the spell with only one mana.

A tiny ball of flame sprung up in front of Chatum and slammed into the sticks causing a couple of sparks and starting a small flame, the mana was consumed as fuel and allowed the sticks to absorb the essence of the spell. In this case, the ball was tiny because of the amount of mana invested, if shot at a normal human on Earth it would be like putting a lighter next to someone so not much of a burn, but it would do a bit of damage.

{Level Up X2}

Allocating the points evenly he noted that this wouldn’t happen normally, getting to level 10 was simple but after it would become much more difficult, there was an exponential growth in the amount of exp required per milestone. Level 10, 25, 50, 75 and finally 100. This repeated up to 1000 in which case the entity would get the choice of becoming a lesser god, or so he hoped. 500 was for demi-gods so if he wanted to achieve his goal, he would have to spend at least 200+ years setting up the world and then fast-forwarding while he was still alive on Frontier.
