[Another job?] Me
[Yes, we only manage to secure 3 mercenaries from Romora and all of them didn't have any experience with a mutant-type beast.] Rando
[I don't really have any experience either until yesterday, so I don't know I'll be able to help.] Me
[But I heard that you at least manage to stop it that time. Don't worry, this is not an extermination request. I just need you to check the status of that lycan. You're the one who knows where you fight that thing anyways.] Rando
[Fair enough. I think it's fine if that's what you really need. But can I get the payment upfront like the last time?] Me
[Don't worry, I'll pay you 3000G for the job. But in case you find the lycan alive, I already prepared another 5000G for extermination.] Rando
[I'll not promise you that though] Me
[I understand that much. Just do what you see fit after confirming its status.] Rando
And with that, I accept another request from the village elder.
I don't really want to fight that lycan again.
But if it's just a quick check, I can do that much.
Also If Bad comes to worst, at least with another 3000G, I can buy the thing that I think can beat it for good. Let's immediately purchase it in my miracle store.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The next day after preparing everything, I walk to one of the two gates to meet up with the other three mercenaries while also bringing my weapon crate.
Saying it as a gate is a little bit off. This village didn't have any gate, to begin with. It is just a wooden wall surrounding the village with an opening for access.
I can see a wooden spike barricade prepared in case of raid though. At least it has something to defend this opening.
There's also a guard tower in each of the gates where I do my guard the other day.
[Hey there, are you the mercenaries hired by the village chief?] Me
[Hi, Indeed we are. So you're supposed to be that man that beat that lycan then?] A man

[That's about right. My name is Dean, mercenaries.] Me
[I'm Claus, a mercenary. This is both my companion. Nice to meet you!] Claus
[I'm Jill, mercenaries. Nice to meet you] Jill
[I'm Tonya, mercenaries. Nice to meet you-nya] Tonya
It's a harem team! With one of the cat-person not to mention.
[And whose there behind you-nya] Tonya
[Ah, this is Andreas. I can't shake him off after mentioning we're gonna check that lycan] Andreas
[Ehe, I'm Andreas, a Bard. Nice to meet you all] Andreas
[A bard huh? Why do they like to follow mercenaries very much? Whatever. Just don't hinder our job!] Claus
[Don't worry, I also know how to do my job.] Andreas
[So, you, the one that met the lycan. What action do you suggest?] Claus
[Hmm can you describe how you usually play your role first?] Me
[I'm a sword user, I usually go vanguard. My companion, Jill, is using a bow so she ends up as our long-range. Lastly, Tonya is also a bow user, but she's an agile cat-person so she's our mobile archer to cover up from medium range.] Claus
[My nose is also a lot more sensitive than human-nya, so I can do a little bit of scouting. Albeit it's not as good as a dog-person can do-nya] Tonya
[I think we can just do as you usually do. You might have heard that I'm a magician, I can support Tonya's role while she focused more on scouting. We're here just for checking anyway] Me
[What? So we're not killing it then? Didn't you beat it before?] Claus
[If it was still alive when we found it, then 'beat' is an exaggeration word. I only manage to stop it and buy time for us to escape] Me
[Man.. to be honest, we came here to kill it so we can have a name for ourselves.] Claus
[Let's see what we can do later. If it still has the wound from before, maybe we can kill it. But if it ends up well and running, it'll be too much of a risk with just four of us] Me
.......
[If that's all, let's start moving] Me
