Lycanthrope is an underling of a werewolf. They're an ordinary human that mutated into Lycan after drinking werewolf blood and finishing a certain ritual. But that's only the case if you join an underground lycanthrope cult. There's also a low-born Lycan that comes from a fail or unfinished mutation involving witchcraft.
The difference is :
High born Lycan
- get their mutation after doing proper ritual under guidance from a lycanthrope cult.
- can change their form as they wish. A rage may trigger their transformation unwillingly.
- retain all their human intelligence.
- even though Lycan can change their form in broad daylight, werewolves still hold more power and hierarchy.
- a well-experienced Lycan is able to partially transform parts of their human body into Lycan form.
- hard to distinguish because they live in human settlements and can easily survive by eating human food.
Low born Lycan
- mutated from fail witchcraft or a curse.
- permanently live in Lycan form.
- only retain a small amount of their human intelligence.
- live in a constant hunger state and targeting anything that moves.
- can be capture and turned into a watchdog by some nobles.
- pretty much a disgrace for any lycanthrope cult.
[So that's why it didn't turn back into its human form even after its dead?] Me
[Pretty much so. Thank you for protecting this village. This is the payment for the request as I promised. I also add some amount as our thanks] Rando
[Isn't it too much?] Me
[Don't worry. We're a small village that is already self-sufficient. All the money we got is pretty much for this purpose.] Rando
[If that's the case, I'll humbly accept it.] Me
[Please do. Also, I hope it's not too much, but can you also take the Lycan corpse with you?] Rando
[I don't mind. I'll share the loot with the rest.] Me
[You can't-nya. You're the one that kills it-nya] Tanya
[No, no. It won't feel right. You're also part of this request after all] Me
[if you had to, we can only accept 30% from that. It won't feel right for us either especially when we didn't do much in this quest.] Claus
[It's still too small though, but oh well..] Me
[Now, now... if all is settled, we're preparing a feast for this. Please stay for tonight if you will] Rando

[[All right. This is what I've been waiting for!]]

A medieval style of a feast.
It's not much. Just a clamorous scene in the inn with grilled meats passing here and there and a pint of ale that keeps flowing.
Outside, there's a bonfire crackling and a corpse of Lycan with a small part of its head on a stake for display. The stake didn't stand too high either. You can hear a bunch of kids giggling while they poking that Lycan corpse with a stick. Occasionally you can also hear "bang! Bang!" Sound from the kid's mouths.
