Chapter 19 Practicing our circus performance.
Narrie Middlecreek here and it's been a few days since we started practicing! Me and Ben have a rhythm lined up, first we climb up onto the hoop, and then we brace ourselfs as it starts to spin...
Ha... Ha... Well... This is my circus, and guess what? My BFF Sunny, and sharer of this super special late mother day birthday party got to come over the mountain for a few days!
And like... You know those elf skeletons that I was joking about at the beginning of the book? Well... This is why..! So... The town had that dragon festival party last year and there was a new Santa's workshop, like a wood carving toy shop and...
Well! "Santa" hires "elfs" to deliver presents throughout our mountains and they are doing some of the coolest acts in our little circus!
(Picture of some of the performers in elf costumes with ears and a santa's workshop dragon emblem and everything.)
Well... I personally don't think you wanna actually see all the mistakes we made while training so... I'm going to skip to the circus!
Ha ha. I'm joking, it's just a silly dream that I had!
Dreamy border picture of the day of the make up birthday circus day!!!
"And now!" Mr Blister acted as MC of our pretty large for no planning circus..! And then, when his gravelly voice didn't want to come out of the speakers...
The other Mr Blister, (I mean Aaron's dad) spread out his arms to make a big air trumpet and shouted, "What you have all come to see, for her make up birthday party, Trisha Narella spinning around in an elevata"

"Hey Narrie... What's an elevata?" Ben just asked me and... Basically, Ben acts really dumb sometimes.
"It's just a spinning thing," I answered him as the rings we were holding onto started to rise, "Like when the rings go up and down..." and that's when I realized that the circular curtain that we were standing in was way, way down below us!
And I started to do that hyperventilating thing and...!
OMG. "Oh-mi-ga oh-mi-ga!" I could not calm myself down when Ben, the boy of my dreams gave my hand a reassuring grip and smiled at me and gave my hand a reassuring grip and...
That's when I gulped that anxiety down and laughed! Because honestly... I twirled around in the middle of the hoop and joked, "It's not like it's that easy to fall off!"
Shoot... I... I'm still spinning and the EVERYONE IS GOING TO WATCH ME WHEN I FALL!
(Picture of circus in the middle the kids over a air thing.)
Splat! (Flashback boarder.)
Well... That woke me up!
SIGH... I kept thinking about that all morning, I even told Ellie that... "Everyone is going to see me fall..."
"Ha ha ha..." Ellie laughed a few days ago, AFTER I FELL! "Yeah, but when you get into middle school, you'll have 2 options, embrace it and move forward, or be paralyzed and look back on yourself and always feel all silly for like ever."
Then Momma Lauri pouted and said, "You have it easy! You and Ben get to at least pretend that no-one is staring at you, but me? I'm literally the center of attention!"
(Picture of Momma Lauri in a clown costume and (practicing) bicycling around the ring.)
Well... Her clown costume is better put together and designed then last year when she dressed as a cat familiar for Halloween.
She didn't wear ears and... Her whiskers were just penciled on! But... Then again... That's also when she proposed and had a lot of other things on her mind, but still!
Well... I have some things on my mind too! Like number 1: I am so happy that she kept encouraging me to do this acrobatic performance, although it's really really kinda scary.
And 2: I'm really happy that even though she is kinda a boring kind of a geek unlike those cool forensic geeks who always have brightly lit offices and dance music playing. I'm really happy, because she cares about me and never tries to run away or make Mom feel bad at all.
And also... I kinda wish this was still like my dream where Ben is superman and can catch me when I'm falling..!
