Chapter 1. About

I'm Narrie Middlecreak and this is a story about my first birthday in my forever home... I just said that didn't I? Forever home.

Anyways! There's my mom, since... Well, since the wedding really, she's been getting kinda bored being a stay at home mom, it seems like she's taking on as many projects you can throw at her.

Anyways... See out there? This "stump out" party? That's ours. So basically... When we bought the house, Lauri was given an option to purchase the land for... NOTHING!

Nothing? Well... IDK, maybe these "parties" that they love throwing are the price... Honestly I'm just so surprised because... Momma Lauri is probably, definitely loaded.

I mean... Who knew that having no hobbies and making your own coffee and the only time she ever regularly ate out was to see Mom at the deli? I mean, is that all it takes? Who knew that having no life outside of work would make her rich?

I mean... Whenever I play my sims that way the meeples die of starvation. So...

ANYWAYS! We live here.

Well anyways... Last year, when the contractors were working on rebuilding the place, Mr Blister. The rich middle aged guy who owns half of the town. He asked.

"Hey, would you like to buy that property for back taxes? We can make a deal."

What the deal was, was we work with a tree removal company to clear cut the overgrowth for the whatever the back taxes were!

So basically?

But not stump removal... So guess what we did?

SO! All spring long we've had a "Stump out Party!" and... Our neighbors are happy and well....

2. Chapter 2. My upcoming birthday surprise.

I'm Narrie Middlecreak and here is a drawing of a humming bird on a flower. I'm currently hiding in the reading nook while Mom and Lauri in the kitchen and why am I here???

Well... It's a rainy spring afternoon and since my birthday is coming up soon I was kinda wondering if they might give me a hint?

Well anyway, Mom 1, Kate is on a mission! “I need help to recreate the first cookie that you made for Narrie.”

"Why?"

"Umm... Sweetheart," Mom... Was flustered but honest, She's doing great! "I... Can not make 300 cookies in a week!" Then she ran around the counter and attempted to get on Momma Lauri's good side by asking, "But Hon! You can “teach” me! So... The thing is I really wanna surprise Narrie."

Yeah...

That's when I realized that I am, "NOT", actually supposed to be listening in... So I boxed my ears and made up the rest of the conversation.

So Momma Lauri looked at Mom, (Mamma Kate? How do kids with two Mom's do it huh? Then again, how do kids with more than one parent tell them apart to people who don't know them, do they need to know them? Does it matter?

Well, I imagined Mom staring proudly at a big dreamy cookie treasure box that she made all buy, (Yes, the word “buy” is an intentional typo, it's supposed to be by, but..?) herself for the girl who's birthday is coming up!

“Well!” I imagined Mom showing off her exciting plan by begging Lauri to help! “This cookie treasure box is going to be such a great surprise that even if our princess doesn't win first prize in the silliest Motherly Persons Day Hat Contest, everyone will remember that it's HER BIRTHDAY!

"I'll tell you what." Lauri's voice was loud and clear over my boxed ears! Meaning that she actually put in a lot of thought into what she was saying!

"So you want to to help me?” Mom said the exact thing that I was thinking! “I wanna make her a big treasure box for all those little ones your making."

Like..! Was I reading her mind?!? A treasure box and little cookies! So this is, really happening?!?

Yes. I heard Momma Laurie laugh so I played a song on my phone so that I wouldn't have to box my ears anymore and imagined how this secret birthday surprise that I am NOT supposed to know anything about might end up.

“Really?” I imagined her saying excitingly as my eyes glanced at Mom as she was literally doing her victory dance! So yeah, I think that that she was kinda extremely excited and when she suddenly stopped made sure that Momma Lauri understood! "You do know this is for the everyone right"

"It's for our darling." Lauri told her as I unplugged my earbuds. Yeah, I won. No doubt about it, definitely telling Ben that as they blabbered on and on until...

"WELL... Kinda, " Mom was blushing. "Are you sure? Last year you literally just gave her like unlimited arcade tokens."

"No." Lauri sounded annoyed, but... Does that mean I... I'm not getting more arcade cards for my birthday? I mean...

PHEW! She just explained that, "It was only 5 cards, that is NOT unlimited."

Wait... I'm still getting some cards though right?

Last year, we went to the arcade for my birthday, my special mission was to get a step parent! This year? I already got a step parent. And I got my own super spirally tower bedroom! So like... Everything is perfect now.
