After leaving the restaurant everyone seemed to be in a better mood. They were walking and talking around the city as if they were one big happy family. It was Darius who broke the chatter and brought something to everyone's attention.

“Wait where are we going this isn’t the way back to the orphanage are we not going back to get our stuff?”

“Oh right, I didn’t think of that. Is there anything that you all need there in particular? I’m sure I can supply anything that you may need.” Prof.King said

“I for one don’t have a lot to pack, maybe our comic books and some clothes.” Cyrus shrugged. “Other than that I’m good.”

“I definitely need to pack. I have too many clothes I want to take with me.” Ariasaid

“I agree with her, there is something that my parents left me that I can’t do without.” Maya added.

“Well it's settled, you all can just meet me back at the SBA after you get everything that you need and then I’ll lay out the groundwork for the next step in our plan. Prof. King Spoke as he took his leave down the street.

The four friends walked in silence as the walked down the street until the felt like the Prof. King was long gone from being able to listen to them.

Maya turned to Cyrus as they continued down the street.“So Cyrus, what are your honest thoughts on the professor?”

Cyrus sighs and shrugs his shoulders. “I honestly don’t know how to read him. He is way too intelligent for me to do that. But his motivations are real forsure which makes me think he is someone we can trust. If he wants revenge like most of us then we can grante that all of the actions he takes to that goal. He helps us and we help him.

Darius nods in agreement. “I agree with that, honestly I was already content about my situation and have gotten peace with it. But now that I know there's an actual chance for power I would be a fool to pass up this opportunity.

“Well after we become Spirit Guardians and we get strong enough we could just kill the guy if he tries to betray us.” Aria said casually.

Maya nods her head in agreement.

Darius and Cyrus looked at each other and smiled.

Cyrus Clapped his hands together, smiled and said “Well that comment surprised me Maya but it's good to know that us as a family we're all on the same page.

They got back to the Orphanage, grabbed all of their belongings that they were going to take, said goodbye to all of the children and made their way back to the SBA building.

On their way Cyrus noticed that Maya wasn’t acting like herself ever since the Professor talked about the death of her parents. The innocence in her eyes was almost completely gone once she found out about her parents death wasn’t an accident but done on purpose.

"Maya . . . Are you ok? You don't seem like yourself." Cyrus said in a low voice.

"How could I not be? Someone could have killed my parents and made it look like an accident. I don't know what type of person would do that but they will have to answer for their crimes and if the law does not handle giving me justice I'll have to take matters into my own hands." Maya's eyes Flashed silver and for a second Cyrus could only see his reflection and nothing else

Cyrus really didn't know what to say. His parents were taken from him by humanity's greatest enemy like most people. Even with so many people that could relate to him he still felt hatred in his heart for the Pestilence, specifically the Cockroach King and his army.

He's watched every single video of the Spirit Guardians fighting against his army and only within the last 10 years has one of his Generals Lt. Been killed. It's the only faction within the Pestilence that humanity hasn't made any progress in taking back a single territory. Cyrus still had trouble with the concept of humans fighting each other even with a common enemy we still find a way to make enemies amongst one another.

"It doesn't matter who or what killed your parents, we will stand next to you and seek your revenge like our own. Even if we have to fight against the whole world. Cyrus said seriously.

Without saying another word Maya nods.

Shortly afterwards Cyrus started to notice Maya getting back to her old self.

At this point they could see the SBA building and we're only roughly 10 mins away.

"Why are we going to the SBA building anyways isn't this guy from a higher city? I thought he was going to pick us up in his ElectroMagnet Car. Aria commented.

"He mentioned that he has access to SBA systems so we could be working with them or for them. It is impossible to know but we know one thing for sure that the SBA isn't his enemy. Maya mentioned.

Cyrus nodded in agreement.

As they got closer to the building they noticed Professor King. Outside waiting for them. "Do you all have everything?"

Maya nods for all of them as they approach.

"Good, let's head up to your living quarters. And then I'll lay out the first steps in our plan. The Professor said smiles with his hands rubbing themselves.

"This guy is definitely a supervillain," Darius thought to himself."

"We're not leaving the city?" Aria Questioned.

"So you do work for the SBA." Cyrus spoke.

"Yes and no. I'm a contractor, a very high level one at that. I can make any crazy request that I want to especially at a backwood low cites like this one. . . No offense. Professor King said holding his fist to his mouth with the last tidbit that with a low voice.

"Anyways shall we go." The Professor said, queuing everyone to follow him.

As soon as they walked through the door they were met by an older man with a bold head and an all white beard. "Greetings. Professor King I want to apologize to you again for not coming to greet you personally last time you arrived. The Director of the city said bowing.

Cyrus and the rest of his friends' jaws dropped to the ground in shock. The Director of the city, the man that has authority over the SBA, who all of the Guild Masters have to answer to Director Allen Fields.

Instantly Cyrus and the rest of his friends bowed to the director as custom. He is one of the Shields that not only protects the city but humanity itself. All of the Directors weren't only powerful in title but in reality as well. All Directions are powerful Spirit Guardians otherwise they wouldn't be able to keep Guildmasters in line.

Without even turning around Professor King told the children to "raise your heads. I actually rank this old man" he said with a smile.

Everyone including the Director lifted their head.

"Enough of these formalities old man, did you prepare everything I've asked for?" Prof. King asked.

"How much authority and powers did this guy have to be taking on a Director of the SBA like he's his Jr. Cyrus thought.

"But of course, the residential area hasn't been used in years within this building for some years now but 8 completely renovated it and personally checked every room myself. The Director nodded.

"Alright good, we'll be using the facilities in this building regularly. So with that said. These four children behind me are all my personal Wards. Treat them like an extension of myself even when I'm not present. Do not let me have to make an example out of any of your people Allen. Professor King said with a cold voice walking away.

Once the Professor and his wards were out of sight the Captain of the guard spoke with the director with concern in his voice. " Sir, does that man have that much authority to even have you submissive to him?

"I'm afraid so. But it's not just his status that should fright you but his power as well. That man could level this city before your wife got done with cooking dinner for tonight. And that's with one hand behind his back. The Director sighed. But one thing is current this City will definitely be safe from the Pestilence while he's here. We just have to prevent him from causing a

War within our own walls.

They reached the very top floor of this skyscraper of a building and once again Cyrus and his friends were shocked.

"We'll be living here!" Aria said with excitement.

They walked into a large open area with marble floors and furniture that cost more than everything they owned.

There were holo monitors everywhere that controlled appliances. Cyrus and Darius both rushed to the large window wall that overlooked the entire city.

"We can literally see the edge of the city from here, even the orphanage in the Outer Rim." Darius pointed.

"We went from the very bottom of the city to the literal top" Cyrus softly said.

"Not just yet, child. There is one test that all three of you children with spirit animals must take and that's turning these." Professor King pulled three small cylinder spheres that gave off a light glow. Instantly the three teenagers knew that those marble shaped spheres were their ticket to changing their life forever
