Cyrus and his friends woke up the next morning and had breakfast and made their way to the Spirit Beasts Association Center for their Graduation into adulthood. At 16 years old one would officially become an adult after their awakening ceremony.

The Spirit Beast Association was the government entity that Represented all the Spirit Guardians and Guilds. It's what most of the citizen tax dollars went to.

Every young adult at the age of 16 would go through with their awakening ceremony at the SBA (Spirit Beast Association) there they would be able to register as a Spirit Guardian or sell their Spirit Beast and even get recruited by a guild potentially.

As they got there there were families and young people everywhere outside of the buildings wearing their nicest clothes and taking pictures.

This saddens Cyrus and his friends to see families, especially Parents interacting with their children. Of the four friends. Maya felt the most heartache. She still remembers her family from before like it was yesterday. While Cyrus, Darius, and Ariah have vague memories of theirs.

As they approached the building Cyrus couldn’t help but look up in awe. The SBA building was the tallest in the city completely made of glass. There were guards right at the door whenever you entered the building who wore special armor and had energy weapons.

"It's still kinda hard to believe those weapons do little to nothing against the Pestilence '' Ariacommented.

"Believe It . . . Only Spirit Guardians can defeat the Pestilence. Their numbers and strength know, no pounds" Maya said.

"Don't take those weapons lightly though. It could shoot a laser through 10-inch steel. Not even modern medicine can heal you from being a vaporizer. Darius adds.

They reached a checkpoint before they got fully within the building which is where four guards were located to check everyone coming into the building.

They showed the Guards their students IDs and they went on their way to the awakening section of the SBA. The Awakening section of the SBA was opened year-round and graduation was simply one being old enough to be an adult and pass the required Education assignments.

The Awakening section was located on the ground floor while the official business of the organization was on the remaining floors. Four rooms had test administrators who were being filmed on large holographic

screens for everyone in the massive Lobbies to see. Usually, testers wouldn’t awaken a spiritual beast because it's one in every ten thousand but when one did everyone would be able to see what type of beast it was but never the rarity. Spirit beasts that could fly are rare and anything with either claws or teeth was seen as a powerful guardian in the making.

Besides the Test takers being shown on screen so were the Spirit Guardians fighting the Pestilence which is what the majority of people were watching. All of them could look at content on the Internet but the SBA had content no one had ever seen before.

While waiting in the queue to take their test Darius nogged Cyrus to get his attention to one of the holographic screens. “Hey look, it's your Hero Michael America.

Cyrus looked at the screen and looked with admiration and awe. There he saw a winged humanoid eagle that was flying in the sky as if it were his natural habitat. Like most Spirit Guardians Michael looks like a perfect hybrid of Human and beast.

Michael’s Spirit beast was a Whirlwind Eagle which gave him power over the wind. With every other flap of his wings, a crescent moon shaped force of wind was cutting down Giant Termites. These termites were the size of a large dog and were the nightmares of anyone who encountered them. They didn’t make up the whole of the Pistilinance but a very small fraction.

Insects have always been known to be much stronger than their body implies Ants can lift up to 50x their own weight. And they're not the only ones whose strength is several times greater than what one would think. An ant the size of a large dog can throw a tank like an adult throwing a pebble. So it was almost laughable for humans to have a fighting chance until the Great Four Spirit Beast Clans arrived.

"To go anywhere you please and be among the silence of the clouds. That must be an amazing feeling." Cyrus thought.

"Yea it's pretty cool how Michael the Grandmaster of the Gale Winds Guild is also from the Rim like us. Aria commented.

Which is one of the reasons Cyrus admired him so. Everyone who lived in the Outer Rim of the City was seen as people who were expendable. There were three force fields that covered the city. The Rim that covers the entire city as a whole. The Middle Field covers 40% of the Common city and the Inner Field covers 20% of the High city. The remaining 40% was the Rim which had only the single Force field.

They finally made it to the front of the line of the testing stations Aria Was the first person to go in and test with an administrator. Coming out 5 min later.

"Sadly no luck, I'll wait for you guys in the lobby." Aria said walking off.

Darius was next and the results were the same. He had an air of disappointment around him that only Cyrus could see.

This made Cyrus' heart rate increase in anticipation. "Becoming a Spirit Guardian can completely change our lives. I don't care about the 1 in 10,000 chance. Why can't we be the exception to the rule! It's either you're born into a Spirit Beast Clan or just have enough luck? What a cruel world. Cyrus thought, gripping his fist tightly.

"It'll be ok regardless as long as we're together. Maya spoke

Her voice instantly calmed Cyrus' nerves. He turned and smiled at her warmly.

She coughed as her eyes locked with his." Our family I mean as long as our family is together we can get through anything.

"Yea,well it looks like I'm up, let's see what fate has in store. Cyrus said before tu

rning around and walking into the test area.
