Never in a million years did I think I would ever kill someone. The only reason I killed someone was because of self defense when that Simon Charles guy decided to pick a fight with Emily and I when we were out on our date. Not to mention, killing someone didn't really faze me as much and that was the scary part!

But I had a feeling that sooner or later I'd have to kill someone again because of dealing with Dominic. Emily's right though we need to figure out who's on his side and who's not.

I thought of another way we could possibly beat Dominic with and when I suggested it Emily seemed to think we might have more of a chance doing that way than trying to figure out who's on Dominic's side. I suggested that we work on getting stronger and on our combat skills for when Dominic comes for us.

Emily's also been playing with her new ability that she got a few weeks ago before her birthday. The new ability she has is rather interesting. She can pick things up in some sort of magic and use them as weapons somehow. For some reason her favorite things to use as weapons are No. 2 pencils. She claims she was inspired by a movie we watched that had a character in it who killed two people with a No. 2 pencil!

I chuckle every time I see her using her new ability that way. Leave it up to Emily to use her powers in ways that she was inspired to just by watching an action movie. If only the director knew that there was someone who would literally try the moves presented in the fight scenes at home!

Emily even put up one of those boards next to her desk that you can put tacks on to discreetly practice throwing pencils at it with her powers.

At the office today I was greeted by a No. 2 pencil whizzing past me and landing on the board hung up on the wall with a small thud. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that. "Okay seriously Emily?"

She smirked. "What? I would stop but this is just way too much fun!"

"How on earth are you managing to do that?" Susan asked. I stopped laughing when I saw how Susan was looking at Emily. Although she looked curious at what Emily was doing, she also had a look of lust in her eyes for some reason.

I cringed when I saw that. Emily saw the way Susan was looking at her too and rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about?"

Susan pointed to the board that had a pencil stuck in it as if it were a tack. "I saw you throw that pencil and it landed on that board like it was a tack! How'd you do that? That's amazing!"

"It's a…" Emily started. She paused and was clearly at a loss for words on how to explain the neat 'party trick' she just did.

I cleared my throat. "Well, Ms. Key, that's a nice magic trick and all but please refrain from throwing pencils at things during work. You can show off your magic skills at lunch break and after work hours."

Emily snorted. "Yes sir! Although I don't plan on doing magic as a side hustle if you know what I mean."

"Of course," I said. I put a hand on her shoulder and whispered into her ear, "You might want to be more discreet when using your powers at work. Especially when you have weirdos like Susan watching you."

Emily covered her mouth to stifle a laugh and then she composed herself. "Yes boss, I won't do it again boss!"

I had to control myself in order to stop myself from pinching her butt or pouncing on her. I couldn't help but think about how sexy she is, especially since we've already had sex and just the way she walks is enough to get me hard. Even though I was busy trying to keep myself under control I felt myself getting hard so I quickly excused myself to my office and closed the door.

{Emily}

I smiled as I stood in front of the gun range with not only my gun in hand but also a handful of No. 2 pencils in my back pants pocket. I looked over at Anna and saw she was trying so hard not to laugh at my new 'weapons' that I had with me. I rolled my eyes. "Okay, let's stop laughing and try to be serious. Yes I get it, No. 2 pencils are not a common weapon to have but I have them as weapons and I love it! You can thank John Wick for this idea!"

Anna burst out in laughter. She was laughing so hard she was practically on the ground rolling in laughter. As soon as she stood up and composed herself, but she looked like she might start laughing again at a moments notice. "Seriously, Emily, you do realize that John Wick isn't real right?"

I looked at her. "Yeah, and? You do realize I'm pretty much living my own personalized action movie right? Besides, I have a new ability and should be able to try it out again. Being able to slow down time to deflect bullets and now I can use that same ability to turn No. 2 pencils into weapons. I think the idea I have with this ability to slow down time will work perfectly but I won't know until I try it. Good thing the observation room is soundproof so I don't hear your laughter while I train, Anna!"

That remark didn't stop Toby from laughing. I couldn't help but think if Toby and Anna are going to go into fits of laughter when they see what my weapon of choice is during combat, is Dominic going to erupt in laughter when he sees that too? I didn't really worry because I knew that when my enemies see how deadly No. 2 pencils can be when they're coming from me they won't be laughing so much anymore.

"Alright Toby," Anna said after grabbing Toby's hand and started dragging him to the observation room. "Let's go someplace soundproof so Emily can train in peace."

"Okay, okay I'm going, I'm going!" Toby whined.

I chuckled and then looked back at the gun range, ready with my choice of weapons in hand. When I heard the buzz of the red button signaling for the gunfight to happen I took cover and watched as the robots started firing their guns in every direction. As I used the ability that I rely on the most, I came out from the cover I was hiding behind and fired my bullets from my gun and used my speed to outrun the bullets like I normally do in a gunfight when I'm training.

I had to stop to take cover again to rip a couple of bullets out of me to reload my gun with. I waited until I got the perfect opportunity to use my ability to slow down time. I stood still as a couple of bullets came flying at me and pulled out a small handful of the No. 2 pencils I had in my back pocket and tossed them at the bullets. The pencils knocked the bullets off target but after that they split in half and bounced off the nearest wall and fell onto the floor.

I took cover again just so I could rip some of the bullets that hit me out and reload my gun with them. A couple minutes later I used my new ability again and after that I was starting to feel weak but I wanted to push it and test my limits just like I always do with my abilities. By the third time I used my new ability I barely managed to dodge a bullet that would've landed on my head if I had not used my ability.

I took cover once again but I realized I was starting to hit my limit and when I tried to use my new ability again I couldn't do it, so I took cover again. Suddenly the robots stopped firing their weapons and I rolled my eyes because I knew that meant Anna hit the button shutting them down.

Anna came running up to me with a worried look on her face. "How many times did you get hit this time?"

I smirked after I checked my injuries, I saw that I had three bullets in my left leg and one bullet in my right hand and another on my left side in my back. "Not that bad, just some bullets that need to be pulled out. And once I get some rest I'll be good as new!"

Toby rolled his eyes. "Wow, for someone who had to go to the hospital a few weeks ago to get a blood transfusion because she almost bled out from injuries, that's pretty cocky of you!"

I snorted. "I think I'll be cocky when it comes down to this stuff until I'm six feet under!"

"Yeah but you're worried about Dominic, where's the cockiness with that?" Toby pointed out.

I frowned. "That's completely different! I'm confident in my combat abilities therefore I am cocky. As far as taking Dominic down, I'm not confident in that area. So I'm not cocky about that."

"Uh-huh sure Emily whatever you say…" Toby said.

"Alrighty then, enough talking two," Anna said. "Let's get Emily home so we can get those bullets out of her! I can tell she's getting ready to pass out."

I didn't realize that I was extremely tired until the room started to spin. I leaned up against a nearby wall and panted, "Uh, guys? Can you stop making the room spin?"

Before Anna or Toby could react I felt the fade away from me.

{Toby}

I freaked out when I saw Emily pass out. I don't know why Emily passing out this time freaked me out more because it's not like I haven't seen her pass out before. Maybe it was because of the number of injuries she had? I was kind of worried that I might have to take her to the hospital to get her a blood transfusion again. But thankfully that didn't happen and Anna and I took Emily back to her place and once we took the bullets out of her, her wounds healed up and she was just fine after that.

I helped Anna clean Emily up and got her changed into some clean clothes and got her to bed.

This woman is going to be the death of me! I thought.

"What are you thinking about?" Anna asked.

"About how much Emily is going to be the death of me someday!" I said, "But I can't help it! I like her." I paused and smiled. "I like her a lot!"

Anna smiled and had a twinkle in her eye. "I'm so happy Emily found someone like you to look after her! It's about time she found someone like you!"

"Speaking of finding someone, how are you and your fiancé doing with planning your wedding?" I asked.

"Oh we're doing fine on that!" Anna said, "We've even set a date for it but I'm not telling you before I get a chance to tell Emily!"

I chuckled, "Alright that's fine."

"So are you going to stay over tonight or should I stay instead?" Anna asked.

"I can stay over but there's no reason we both can't stay over," I said. I tilted my head. "Why?"

"No reason, usually if you stay over I know Emily's in good hands after she's played her guns for a while," Anna said. "I kind of have plans this weekend so I'll be going now. Just let Emily know I said goodnight and I'll see you later!"

She got up and left the room. I stayed sitting on the bed when Emily's dog Red came running up to me wagging his tail. Thank goodness Red's finally gotten used to the idea of me being around more because he seems to come up to me with no problems and I don't even need to give him a treat anymore. Once he saw Emily sleeping he whined.

I reached over and scratched him behind the ears. "Don't worry boy, your owner's fine. She's just sleeping. She's kind of hardheaded, pushing herself to her limit when it comes down to training!"

"I heard that!" Emily laughed.

Red barked and wagged his tail again. Emily laughed, "Yeah I get it! But I can't help myself, I need to be ready for when Dominic comes for me!" She sighed, "But I should probably slow down a bit shouldn't I?"

I nodded. "Yup! But it's okay, you're not going to be fighting Dominic alone you know! You have me and Anna. And don't forget I killed two of Dominic's men when we got into that fight on our date!"

She smirked. "Wow, looks like I have a knight in shining armor for backup!" Then she added with sarcasm, "My hero!"

I burst into a fit of laughter when Emily said that. I looked up and saw her roll her eyes after I fell off the bed because I was laughing hard. After a moment or two I stopped laughing. "Okay, okay, but I will be by your side for as long as I can and hopefully that means forever! I'm not proposing marriage just yet, but… How about a promise?"

She paused. "A promise?"

I nodded. "Yup a promise! I will do everything in my power to protect you as much as I can! As I just said, I want to stay by your side as long as I can! I… I love you!"

She blinked and then grinned. "I love you too, Toby!"

She came over to me and kissed me. After picking her up and pushing her down on the bed I kept making out with her. I really wanted to have sex with her but I wasn't sure if now was the right time for it.

She shook her head and I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"If you want sex all you have to do is ask for it," Emily said.

"Well then…" I said.

She smiled. "Yes? Then what?"

"Okay I want to have sex but you just passed out and-" I started.

She cut me off by kissing me and taking off my clothes. I chuckled, "I guess that answers my question. And honestly you did scare me passing out like that. But I still think your choice of weapons is pretty hilarious though!"

She laughed, "Yeah I know. But when my enemies see how deadly those pencils can be coming from me, they won't be laughing anymore."

"Although it does look like a rather neat magic trick when you do it at work!" I said.

She smiled and started kissing me again. I didn't do anything else with Emily besides have sex with her. After we had sex, I cuddled with her and after she went to sleep, eventually I drifted off to sleep too.
