Cece, Zyra, and Iris had woken up and was eating breakfast, but this time Alex had joined them, it felt just like old times. They were chatting about the training they would be doing and what the outside world was like. “So the outside world is basically at war with the government?” Zyra asks in disbelief.
“Yeah, the government is basically controlling everything, and if you can’t give them what they want, he makes sure you pay, either pay with money or another way,” Alex explains.
“What do you mean by another way?” Iris asks, frowning.
“They have different punishments depending on the severity of the defense. Sometimes he’ll make you work for him, sometimes he takes your house or belongings, or sometimes even your children, normally your firstborn.” Alex explains looking down, “it’s sad really.”
“That’s horrible!” Cece exclaims, eating a small piece of toast. Honestly, she was really only eating so the others wouldn’t harp on her, she would just deal with the voices later.
Alex nods, “yeah, we’ve been trying to stop the government for years but we could never get close enough. We’re hoping that with y’alls help we can destroy the government once and for all.”
“What makes you think we can do it?” Iris asks, suddenly realizing all the pressure on them.
“We were told that it’s up to y’all and a few others,” Alex explains, mentally cursing himself for saying too much.
“Who said it was up to us and a few others? How do they even know us?” Iris asks, anxiously.
“That’s a story for another time,” Alex says quickly, desperately needing to steer them away from this conversation. The three just nod and go back to eating. Alex sighed in relief and also went back to eating.
About thirty minutes later, the four of them finished eating and headed towards the training room to start their official day of training. Once the four of them got to the training room, they saw Axel standing in the middle of the room with his arms crossed, waiting for them.
“Alright girls, it’s time to begin your training. Alex here will help me oversee your training. I will train you in hand to hand combat, while Alex here will train you in weaponry.”
“It won’t be easy but I know y’all can do it,” Alex chimes in.

“How do you know? What if we fail?” Cece asks, looking down. She wasn’t very good when pressure was put on her.
“I know y’all can because you have Iris’s combat skills, Zyra’s ambition, my weaponry skills, and your knowledge,” Allex says, turning to face Cece. “We still have two more people to gather before yall can go after the government.”
“Where do we find these other two people?” Zyra asks, curiously.
“We aren’t exactly sure, that’s why we need y’alls help. The three of you need to train and learn about the outside world, so we can find the other two that will be a part of the team.”
“You really think six people is enough to overthrow the government?” Iris asks, raising a brow.
“Yes, it’s hard to explain but…”
Alex gets cut off when Axel puts a hand on his shoulder, “now’s not the time son, they aren’t ready.”
“We aren’t ready for what?” Zyra asks, frowning.
“You three aren’t ready for the full truth, there’s still much for you to learn, depending on how fast you learn depends on when you can know the full truth.” Cece looks down, knowing she isn’t a very fast learner, she hoped she didn’t ruin this for the other two. “Speaking of the truth, you won’t be meeting the other two until we can find them, which means you three will need to be trained, so it’ll be a while.” He pauses, his face going stern, “This won’t be a walk in the park, this will be absolute hell, I hope y’all are ready, because training...starts now!”
As soon as Axel said this, they were given the weapons they picked yesterday. Zyra got a sword that had a black handle and a curved tip, it also had a blue jewel on it. This sword isn’t the best sword, but it is great for beginners.
Iris was given three different types of throwing knives to see which was best for her. One of them had a red handle with carvings in the blade, the blade was straight, and a good knife for beginners. The second one was a little more advanced and is shaped like a boomerang so if you threw it right, it would come back to you after hitting its target. This knife was a light shade of purple and it’s blade was also straight. The third one is dark blue with a skull pattern on the straight blade, it also had a ring at the end of the handle so it was easier to hold while in battle.
Cece was given a bow with some arrows, the bow she was given was plain brown with a handle for her to place her hands. This bow was good for practice if you’re a beginner which Cece is. She needed to start with a bow that had an easy barb to start out with, and as she progressed, she would use bow’s with better barbs, until she truly became a pro.
Axel looked at the girls who were admiring their weapons, mostly in awe of how they got them so quickly, “now girls it’s time….time the three of you become assassins!”
“Assassins?” Cece asks, as her eyes widen, and her mouth falls open.
“We have to kill people?” Iris asks, “I thought we would just capture them! Killing is wrong!”
“Look girls, in this day in age, you either kill or be killed, there isn’t a third option, so harden your hearts, make them as cold as stone, and get ready for hell!”
