Luke wanted to learn more about light and dark magic soon as possible. Even though he had the other elements, the two he didn’t know the most were what he thought would end up being the most helpful. He decided it was either do a quest or go to a dungeon, the dungeon was too early for him so the only thing he could do were quests. Most B ranks had already formed a party of four so they could build the team through quests and dungeons. He guessed it was like a “friend’s till we die” kind of bond since those people who formed a party did die sometimes. Luke needed more information before he could even go on a quest, so he and Alice headed to ask the guild assistant about the quest to guard a caravan to the next city.
The guild assistant was useless, she didn’t give him much more information than it was on the quest board. Luke saw she was an attractive woman, in her early teens, blonde, and she had satisfactory curves. He wanted to get to know at least one person besides Ares, the guild master, so he introduced himself to her. “It’s my first time taking a quest, my name is Luke by the way”. The guild assistant replied with a smile, “Mr. Luke, it’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Rica and I wish you the best of luck on your first quest. I recommend making a party before taking that quest.” Luke did manage to get something out of her, a party was needed for this quest. He wanted to be on the safer side so he would find some more people before going on this quest, hopefully by the end of the day. He wanted to use his new connection so he said “Thank you for the advice, Rica. Could you direct any B ranks seeking a party our way? We will be at that corner table.”
He didn’t know if the people seeking a party would be good or some insane person like him who just became an adult and became an adventurer out of nowhere, but they waited for people to see the members wanted sign on the board. During the wait, Luke and Alice had a conversation about the usual topics and they moved to what they wanted to do as a party. “So Alice, what kind of a party should we be?” he asked her. It was a topic that should be thoroughly discussed but Alice just said “I want to explore more of the world so maybe a party that does dungeons clears.” “That’s what I want to do too!” he said excitedly. “How about we start thinking of what needs to be done before we get new members? ” Then they started thinking what was needed to get to this goal of being a party that clears dungeons. They agreed to four things.
1. Have a party of at least four.
2. Understand everyone’s abilities.
3. Go on normal quests and get more experience.
Luke felt that it was a pretty decent list of steps to have done before even going into the topic of exploring a dungeon. “Alice, why don’t you be our leader for the party since your an A rank?”
Alice replied with a smile that said hell no before saying “I think I want you to be the party leader Luke, I will be your trusted co-leader.” That smile kind of told him she didn’t want any part in making plans and being responsible for everything, he knew she was smart and wouldn’t feel burdened by the responsibility but she flat out refused. He had planned to live in her shadow, like yesterday and now she wants him to be the leader. Luke didn’t trust anyone else besides Alice in this guildhall to be the leader that makes decisions for him. Luke and Alice waited in the guildhall, making small talk and about future plans. It was almost the end of the day, they both felt like it was a wasted day but they needed other members to go into dungeons’ safety and for other quests. Luke didn't even want the money from dungeons, he just wanted to see how useful the items would be, maybe they would be the key to learning more about this world.

It was about to be the end of the day when a young girl, around the age of 20 walked towards the table with two people. One was an elf and another a young human boy. She saw that he was no older than 13. She introduced herself to them, "Hello, my name is Lana. I am here because of the members wanted post." The young boy spoke, "Hello, Lana, have a seat. My name is Luke and this lovely lady next to me is Alice. We are looking for two other members, preferably not a mage or ranger." Lana replied, " I am a healer." "If you're willing to have us as party members, we would love to have you on our team," the young man said. "Let's go have a drink and we to know ourselves?" Lana said. "Perfect, I know a nice bar just right outside of the guildhall, why don't we go there?" Alice suggested. Then in agreement, the three went out of the guildhall and outside to the busy street. The area around the guildhall seemed to have a lot of activity. Luke saw there were some couples, shady-looking people on the streets, and a lot of stalls selling things for dungeons. The three walked into a bar named Silver Swan. The bar was busy, but it wasn't crowded. Alice led to a table in the corner with four seats next to it, they sat down and a waiter came to ask if they wanted any drinks. Luke asked for an ale. Alice and Lana asked for wine. The waiter asked, " Would you folks like to order food as well ?" They all ordered some chicken wings and roasted potatoes.
As they were eating, Luke and Alice asked Lana about her goals and what she wanted to do. Lana was apparently from a poor family and wanted to earn money as a B rank adventurer. She lived in the capital city all her life and she wanted to explore the world. She had been an adventurer since she turned 13 and had slowly moved up from D rank to C rank to B rank. She told them this was her first day as a B rank but she had plenty of experience. Luke felt that Lana was hiding some stuff but she wasn't lying about anything. He thought she was a normal person, trying to live her life and support her family. "Miss Lana, it seems we have the same goals. Both Alice and I, want to explore and see more of the world. We were also hoping to go into dungeons rather than become a party that does quests." Lana replied, " although I am not familiar with B rank dungeons, I know a lot about C rank dungeons and I know that they are quite profitable so I have no problems with the plan to be a team that does dungeons." It was almost midnight when the three walked out of the bar. They had decided they liked each other and to form a team. Alice said, "Let's meet at the guildhall tomorrow around noon and find someone who will be our front line tomorrow."
Luke and Alice headed towards their inn. Luke wanted to talk with Alice about their new party member. He wanted her opinion just to make sure they made the right decision to add Luna to the party. Luke sat on his bed and talked to her about Luna.
