Luke was done with his three-day confinement in the library. He found a useful fire magic spell along with the Null magic spells. He never got to investigate if all that Alice told him about the magic was true or if she had left out some parts. This in hindsight was the greatest payoff for his time, other than learning how to control magic, being able to fully use his powers was a payoff on a global scale but this confinement in the library was the second best. He was able to learn two different spells and he had learned that if he could obtain more books on Null magic, he could learn the spells. This opened up countless possibilities, right now and in the future. Luke decided that collecting at least 10 to 20 different types of Null magic would be a good enough challenge and enough power to face anyone if he ever needed to.
While in confinement, Luke had an idea to have some informants on his own and who better than the next head of the house to be his personal informant. Luke knew that just by feeling the magical powers in the house, James’s brother had about three-fourths of the power of the old man and the old man was below his level by quite a bit. The old man’s power was the biggest in this house but it was nowhere close to Luke’s power. The plan was simple, touch the old man and use Contract on him to make him forget all of the data he has collected on Luke and to never even speak of his power to control more than two elements. It was a simple Contract but there were a lot of things involved and Luke needed to be absolutely sure that the old man did not remember anything, which includes the time he is being affected by the Contract. Luke did a lot of research and he made something that he thought was a way to completely shut off all the information on him, at least whatever earl Evert had on him and he needed to find out if anyone else knew his secret as well.
Currently, Luke is in the library after the three days of confinement to show his grandfather that was a good asset to the family. That was going to be the fire magic he learned in confinement. This was pretty simple really, he learned that he could make a fire arrow follow a person. It wasn’t really following a person but changing the direction he gave to the arrow by never finishing the incantation. Not finishing the spell was the key he learned, and he didn’t want to show more than just his fire magic to the old man. He demonstrated the skill to earl Evert and he was very impressed. Evert said, “I never even thought something this useful was in my collection.” Luke replied, “It’s not really written anywhere explicitly but I read in a book that magic spells can be left unfinished by adding another extra incantation to the original spell. So I had this idea.” Luke saw that the old man was more than satisfied with his demonstration and he was ready to claim all of the credit for this “discovery”. Luke decided he needs to risk it for at least a few minutes and ask earl Evert an important question, “who else knows about my magical abilities”, Luke asked. Evert answered, “Nobody, I wouldn’t let thing kind of information to anyone.” Then immediately, Luke touched the old man and used Contract on him, it was a simple promise to not remember or talk about his magical capabilities to anyone and he was also going to forget the question Luke just asked. The old man already knew his secrets and it needed to remain that way.

Luke left the family head with the decision that he would rather stay on the farm with James and Samantha than the family home. He and James came home unharmed, although it was a little scary towards the end when he got confined in the library for three days by the old man. The old man did not matter much to Luke now that he is most likely going to talk about Luke’s powers with the spies and he would die with no traces of events linking to him. Luke’s secrets were safe and he would need to make sure to find a way to train without being noticed again.
Luke was genuinely worried about all that had happened and it was going to suck even more as his life goes on if he is going to have to hide his powers, live smartly but that was what it took to survive. Luke didn’t know how many enemies he had or even who the more powerful of the nobles are. All he knew was the even though Evert was an earl, he was no match for his powers but he would need much more information, more skills, more levels, and even more connections. Being a farmer had its perks, he could live out here without having to think about everything and just use his crops to plant trees and other plants. Luke could earn a small fortune in a short amount of time and get to a higher place in this life than what he was in his past life. Luke didn’t want something so simple in this life. He barely knew what he wanted but he knew that he wanted to have friends, family and live a peaceful life but he was given powers so great that he couldn’t just do those things.
Once Luke got to the farm he decided to use the knowledge he had gained over the course of his journey in the capital city and his skill Fast Growth to plant a coffee tree. It was a lot of money used to get a small plant but Luke knew that if he could use his skill when he re-plants this tree, it would be a great source of income. Luke knew this because, in his past life, people had drunk coffee like it was medicine and holy nectar given by the gods. Luke also planted a lot of potatoes, and he use his skill on this as well. This was the first day after getting back from the capital and he was going to act like a farmer from now on, at least for the next five years since he was still a small boy in the standard of the society, being 13 was good enough but Luke wanted to be at least 15 before he did anything. He just wanted to level up fast as possible, gain more knowledge of his skills, become physically stronger and find his purpose in life. It was all he could think of for now.
