Faron and I went to the overworld. Of course, I planned on keeping my promise to him about Alex.
Unfortunately, since Faron is now under my control it meant that the mate bond he had with Alex was severed, so he couldn’t tell exactly where she was.
“I’m willing to guess she’s in the hospital. No-one, supernatural or otherwise, can just walk off giving birth.”
Faron nodded at my words. “Let’s go then.”
Faron... Well, he was different. Of course, he’s under my control now, but something had changed. He was emanating a sort of yellow glow, which was reminiscent of hellfire. I asked him about it, and he told me he didn’t see anything like that.
I’m no expert, but I believe Faron might be the first ever fourth strongest demon. Hell has always been divided into three strongest, but the fact that a new castle had appeared in hell was too much of a coincidence. The strangest part is that he’s supposed to be under my control. He still was, technically, but also had enough free will to be granted a place among the demon upper class? I had to ask Luca about this.
Anyway, that’s not the main reason we are here. “Go on, open the door. I’ll wait out here.”
Faron nodded before pushing open the door to the hospital.

Faron POV:
-
The doctor’s office smelled like disinfectant. I looked around the room, before spotting randy, the city doctor.
“Faron! Where have you been? Your wife went through labor without y-
“Where is she.” I cut him off.
Randy was a little shocked at the tone of my voice. “She’s... She’s in the left operating room.”
I quickly walked over to the door, before giving it a little knock.
“Come in...” I heard the voice of Alex coming from inside the room.
I slowly opened the door, before making eye contact with Alex.
“Hello my love.”
“Faron!” She yelled out with her arms wide open. “Where were you yesterday?”
I walked over to the bed, embracing my wife. “Well, it’s a long story I'm afraid. How... How are the kids?”
Alex hugged me for a good minute before answering me. “They’re sleeping soundly with me right now.” She said, before moving the blanket from her body. Long and behold, three tiny babies all lying sprawled out on the naked skin of my wife.
I felt tears building up in my eyes. I began to cry softly in happiness, while giggling.
“They are beautiful.”
Alex grabbed my cheek with her hand. “They have your eyes.”
I wiped some tears from my eyes and looked at Alex. “Yes... Yes, they do.”
Alex smiled up at me. “Is everything alright? You seem... different.”
I pouted at her comment. “Actually... There is something I need to tell you. Yesterday, I was nearly murdered.”
Alex gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. “Oh my god! What happened?”
“Well... I was in a diplomatic meeting with someone I knew we couldn’t trust, and they tried to slit my wrists. The only reason I'm standing here... Well, it’s because a demon helped me.”
“Anders, you can come in now.”
Looking back to the entryway of the room, Anders manifested like out of thin air. “Hello Alex.”
Alex looked at him, with some fear in her eyes. “Anders? Is that you?”
“Yes, that’s him... Turns out he had been lying to us for a long time about who he truly was...” I told her.
Anders moved in closer to me and Alex. “I must admit, I have been. I hope you can forgive me...”
“But that is not why we are here today, now is it Faron?”
I looked at him with a sad look on my face. “No, it isn’t...”
Alex looked between me and Anders with a confused look on her face. “What are you two plotting...?”
I put a hand on Alex’s cheek. “In order to save me, Anders... Well, he made me submit my will to become his thrall. We’re here now to ask you to make a choice.”
Alex’s hands were now shaking as she heard what I had just said. With tearful eyes, she asked me:
“What are the options?”
“Whether you wish to continue onward in life as a widow or join me as a thrall for Anders to do as he wishes with.”
Alex wiped some tears from her face. “I know we never had an official wedding, but I still believe the old saying applies to our relationship. Until death do us part, as it is.” She nodded her head at me, grabbing my hand. “I’ll join you.”
I smiled at her. “I love you.”
She gave me a quick kiss. “I love you too.”
“Anders... Do the honors.”

Anders POV:
-
I finished the will spell, and acquired Alex’s and Dawn’s soul which both entered my chest.
I could feel Faron’s and Omen’s souls chime happily at the arrival of their mate’s, and it appeared that their mate connection was restored once again.
“Okay, now that we have that sorted... I’m not a monster. I won’t take your kids’ souls before they have even said their first words.”
Alex and Faron looked at each other, then at me. “Thank you...”
Aw man. I feel awful doing this... But I did save Faron’s life I suppose. Technically.
“Okay then, there is much planning to be done. We should return to hell pretty soon.”
“I know how it sounds, but Hell isn’t actually as bad as you may think it is, Alex. You’ll see it when we get there.”
Ah shit, I just remembered I need two bodies worth of blood to do the ritual. Hmm...
I looked at the two werewolves.
No. Absolutely not.
Ah! I know! The dragons!
I walked out of the hospital before connecting to Ragnar’s soul.

‘Ragnar, teleport over here please.’
One second after my request was done, a portal appeared in front of me.
“YOU RANG?”
“Yes, indeed I did. I have to kill you in order to perform a ritual.”
The large dragon looked at me in doubt. “HOW MUCH BLOOD EXACTLY DOES THIS RITUAL REQUIRE?”
“Two bodies worth.”
Wait, I'm dumb. A dragon the size of Ragnar probably contained as much blood as 9 human adults altogether.
Ragnar shook her head and opened an artery in her arm. After letting out a truly breathtaking amount of blood, I helped her close it.
“THERE. TWO BODIES WORTH.”
“Thank you, Ragnar.”
I performed the summon dorm ritual.
-
“Woah! Where are we?” Alex asked me.
“This is my castle. Make yourselves at home Is what I would say, but it would appear fate has destined you for other things...”
“Stay here for a moment. I need to check up on something.”
I teleported to Luca’s castle. Unsurprisingly, he was standing outside on the cobblestone road watching people go about their business. This was a strange habit he had, but I wouldn’t judge.
“Luca, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary lately?”
Luca snapped out of the goat-stare he was in and faced me. “Excuse me, what did you say?”
“I asked if you’ve noticed anything out of the ordinary lately. How long have you been standing here anyway?”
Luca looked at me with a confused expression. “What do you mean out of the ordi-
He looked between his and Heltana’s castle. There was a new one there.
“What the...? Does this mean... No...”
Luca began pacing back and forth rubbing his chin.
“It appeared as soon as I subjugated Faron.”
Luca snapped his fingers. “That’s it!”
He rushed over to me, holding a book in his hands. “As it says here, legend entails a great war between God and Demon long ago. Apparently, in this great calamity, a fourth position of power was granted in order to even the playing field.”
I rubbed my chin, reading through the words on the page. “So, what you’re saying is that Faron is the fourth strongest demon?”
“If the legends are correct, yes.”
This changes everything.
“What powers do the fourth hold?”
“No different than what the other three have... but the legend speaks of latent potential only accessible by the fourth strongest. Faron’s latent time ability now has the potential to... Evolve.”
I nodded. “Evolve how?”
“The legend does not go into detail on the subject... It might be different for each demon who possesses the title as fourth strongest...”
“I need to speak with Faron immediately.” I told Luca.
“You know where to find me if you need me...” he said, before flipping the page of the book.
I teleported back to my castle.
Looking around the foyer, I spotted Alex and Faron sat on a sofa.
“Faron, your role in this war just became a lot more relevant. You’re now, officially, the fourth strongest demon in all of hell.”
Faron’s jaw dropped to the floor. “Whaaat? I- Am I a demon? I don’t feel any different???”
I thought back on what had happened when I first became a demon. “Yes, it is indeed strange. When I became a demon, my human form was encapsulated by hellfire, but yours is still intact...”
Hm, I wonder if that’s because the demon bind Luca had on that body...
“Okay Faron, I need you to do something for me. Stretch out one hand.”
Faron did as I instructed. “Okay?”
“Now, think of the direction of upward, and clench your fist.”
Faron looked in thought for a moment, before clenching his fist. Sure enough, yellow flame erupted from the floorboards of my castle, forming into a humanoid body.
“Woah! What did I just do?” Faron asked me, looking at the figure before him.
“That right there is your Demon form. As you can see, it’s similar to my figure.”
Faron nodded. “Okay, well, how do I... use it?”
I thought back on what Luca had told me when I was first transferring my consciousness to another body.
“Do the same thing you just did with your hand, but instead of thinking about a direction, think about the body now standing before you and clench your fist.”
Faron did as I told him.
-
Faron POV:
-
The feeling was strange. I could feel my sense of self torn in between my human form and this new demonic shell.
Wait, what will happen to me?
That was the last thing I heard before my vision went completely black. I panicked, putting my hands on my face.
“Faron, calm down. You’ve just gotten transferred into your demon body. Stop all your movements and listen to my voice. You might cause irreparable damage if you don’t.”
Anders’ voice was the only thing I could hear. Why can’t I feel Omen’s presence? I was worried, but I did as Anders told me regardless. I lowered my arms to my sides.
“Okay, good. First of all, your eyes.” He paused briefly. “As this is the first time you’re summoning your demon eyes, you need to chant in order to form them correctly. Keep focus on where your eyes should be on your head, and repeat after me:
“-TRUE SIGHT-”
“Now you try to say it. Well, it’s enough to think it. We’ll get to your mouth later.”
I nodded, and thought about saying the words in my mind.
‘-TRUE SIGHT-’
A small crack appeared in my vision.
“Good, now don’t move a muscle. You have to repeat the phrase until your eyesight becomes completely clear. If you try to physically force them open, well... I don’t know what happens. Luca told me bad things will happen.”
I gulped, as best my non-mouthed form could.
-TRUE SIGHT-
Another crack appeared.
-
Anders POV:
-
“Excellent. Now we can move on to your mouth.”
Reciting what Luca had said to me at the arena grounds brought back the memories of Jiren and the proud warrior he was. I said a quick mental thank you to the long-lost warrior, before returning my attention to Faron.
“In order to form your mouth, there is another phrase you need to repeat.”
“-TRUE VOICE-”
“Now, just think about the phrase like before, and you’ll have a functioning maw in no-time.”
-
After a while, Faron could finally voice the complaint he apparently had. “Omen’s not... Here with me. Where did he go?”
“I’d look to your human body for answers.”
Faron turned around only to be knocked down by Omen who was now controlling Faron’s human body on his own.
“Suprise!”
So apparently, the human and Werewolf consciousnesses get separated upon body switching. Interesting indeed.
“Omen! You almost scared the life out of me! Why... Why aren’t you in this body with me?”
Omen was about to answer when a bright flash of red light illuminated the room. “I can explain.”
Luca walked over to Faron and Omen. “Faron, place a hand on Omen’s shoulder. Omen, do the same.”
They both did as he instructed. “Perfect. Now, Faron, can you feel the connection to his mind through your hands? Grab ahold of it. Use your demonic energy, not your physical hand.”
Faron seemed to get the picture and did as Luca told him.
“Perfect. Now, just kind of... Drag him into you. Through your arm, if that makes sense.”
Faron, surprisingly understood. Before long, the human body fell limp onto the floor.
“There you go, both back in one piece.”
Faron’s eyes fluttered for a few seconds, before recollecting themselves.
“Ah yes, we are reunited once again. Thank you, Luca.”
“Anyway, do you think we are able to change form into our wolf form while in this body?”
Luca put on a grin. “Well, not quite. But i do have good news for you, you can transform into a wolf form. It’s not exactly the same... You’ll understand. Follow me out into the courtyard.”
Ah, I know what he’s thinking about. I’d love to see this too...
“Alex, I doubt you can do this too, but you’re free to come watch.” I told her, before exiting the front door, following the others.
-
After Luca had explained the process of true form summoning, Faron sat down on the floor.
“You know what, I think I'll transform too. It’s been too long since I last stretched my wings...”
I stretched my arms, before sitting down on the floor beside Faron.
I began drawing power.
Before long, we were both sitting with a perfect sphere in front of us, colored in our respective colors. His was yellow, and mine was green.
“Now, Faron, just draw the last bit of power.”
As I said this, I drew my own orb into myself.
-
(Not going to bother explaining Andras’ transformation again. 😛)
-
I looked down at Faron. “Come on, it’s not dangerous or anything!”
Faron nodded and drew the orb into himself.
He dropped down to his four legs, which immediately changed form into those of a classic wolf.
Following this, he tripled in size, followed by his snout growing, alongside a tail.
Finally, his ‘fur’ puffed out. Beside me now was a huge yellow wolf, with Faron at the helm.
Well, I say huge. Compared to me, he was still just your average household dog.
“Welcome to the club! How do you feel?”
Faron looked up at me with a wolfish grin. “Powerful.”
He wasn’t wrong. Calling him the fourth strongest demon didn’t actually make any sense. He was probably on-par with Heltana in terms of raw demonic power.
“Well, if you plan on testing out your new form, you’ll have to do it on your own. I'm going to bed. I’m exhausted after today.”
I stretched my dragon wings one last time, before folding them in again. "Ahhhh, that felt amazing."
After stretching, i shot the orb out of my body again and shrunk back to my larger humanoid form.
“You’re no fun! Well, see ya, I guess.” Faron said, before bolting off out of the courtyard and into the main dimension of hell.
Shit.
I forgot to teach him teleportation...
