For some unknown reason, Hendrix's palm felt itchy. It was as if the cat's fur irritated him, but it also felt as if his palm had touched Noelle's head.
Just when Hendrix was thinking about this, a voice sounded, "Sorry for making you wait, Mr. Freeman." Hearing the voice, Hendrix looked up with a smile. "Long time no see, Mr. Garcia."
Noelle was the last to know about the Continental Reach project being paused. She and Dylan were chatting with Zavier when she received the news over the phone. She was stunned at first. "What?" "Amity Group took the initiative to stop it. They said there's some problem in the construction department, they need to investigate it first."

"What problem?"
"I am not sure. This is what they informed us for now."
"Even if there's a problem within the construction department, the other departments can operate as usual, right? If not, since it is the starting phase of the project, they can just change the entire team, right?"
When Noelle finished speaking, the person on the other side of the line stopped replying.
It seemed as if he knew what was going on but couldn't say anything. His silence was meant for Noelle to realize it herself.
And realize Noelle finally did. "Was this Hendrix's idea?"
"I think so..."
"Why? This project is equally important to Amity Group, right? Even if there are problems within the departments, would stopping the project now bring him any benefits?"
The other person remained silent.noveldrama
Soon, Craig's phone call came in..
Noelle could only hang up on the other person and answer Craig's call.
"I've heard about the Continental Reach project. You're in Coppersville, right? Come to the office for a meeting now!"
Noelle frowned and glanced at the people in the living room.
Dylan also approached her at this time and gave her a questioning glance.
"I will call you back soon," Noelle said and then quickly hung up. She looked at Dylan.
He asked, "What's wrong? You don't look good. Did something happen in the company?"
Noelle took a huge breath in. "Yes. I need to go back now. Your grandfather..."
"He fell asleep." Dylan smiled. "Also, he asked me to get him something from town. You're going to Elm Tower, right? I can drop you."
"Is it on the way?"
"Of course." Dylan grinned and grabbed her hand. "Let's go."
Since he had said so, Noelle didn't refuse him anymore.
On the way, she kept talking on the phone, asking people to check what was going on in the construction company, as well as the internal department in Amity Group.
After all, it was not like Hendrix had all the say in the company. If he asked for the project to be stopped, he needed to give valid reasons as well.
After a few phone calls, she arrived at Elm Tower.
"What time will you be done? Let me pick you up," said Dylan.
Noelle shook her head. "I'm not sure. I'll update you later?"
"Alright." Dylan nodded.
After looking at her, he suddenly reached out to unbuckle her seatbelt. Thus, his body inched closer to hers as well.
Noelle was still lost in her thoughts. When he suddenly leared in without warning, she froze, her eyes staring blankly at him.
