PART 1
========================================================================
The gentle rain has been falling from the night sky for three hours now. There were frequent flash of lightning every so often, but it was a gorgeous sight.
Strangely enough, even if there were lightning strikes, not a single sound of thunder can be heard.
Have I become deaf? That should not be possible. I can clearly hear the music that is coming out from my headphones.
I am currently listening to classical music. It was to match the mood created by the falling rain. That's right, it was to match this blissful evening with the calming drops of rain.
As much as I want this scene to continue eternally, I was pulled out from my deep thought by the ringing of my phone.
The phone is just a standard model sold in the market. It was neither fancy, nor something outdated. It was enough for my needs.
As I removed one of the speakers of my headphones, I placed my ringing phone near my uncovered left ear. I clicked the "Accept" button, and began to wonder the identity of the caller since it was an unregistered number.
"Hello, who is this?"
"Hey there Polaris, have you already eaten?"
The man behind the calm, and cool voice is my father: Christoph Baltazar. He is an astrophysicist, and works abroad so we don't really meet with each other that much. He does call everyday to check up on me.
"What's up dad?"
"Well first, I have already deposited your allowance for this week, including your livelihood expenses.
Next, did you know that a 'super moon' will appear tonight, around 11PM? You might want to check it out."
"A 'super moon' huh. Last time I saw one was when mom was still around..."
My mom died when I was still on the fourth grade. The cause of death? Nobody really knows. It was all too sudden. One day, she suddenly fell ill and at the third day, she was no more. The doctors were all baffled by the unknown cause of her death, while me and my dad can only pray for her soul to be at peace.
"I know that you are still sad over the death of Martha, but all we can do is to live and to cherish her precious memories with us"
"I know that! Its no time to be saddened by this! If mom can see our expressions now, I bet she would bring out that ladle of hers and smack our heads with it!"
"Hahahaha! Quite true! Speaking of which, did you put it somewhere safe?"
My mom was a cook. When she was alive, she cannot be seen without her handy-dandy ladle. Heck, my dad once told me that she brought that ladle with her when they went on their first honeymoon.
"Anyway dad, I'm going to hang up now. I do intend to watch that 'super moon'"
"Yeah, I also need to go to work right now. Good night, kid"
With that, my conversation with my father ended.

PART 2
================================================================================
My name is Polaris Baltazar. Male. 16 years old. Upcoming first year high school. A friendly person. No girlfriend. No special talent. I do have a passion though, but it's not something to brag about.
I was named after the North Star. My mother wanted me to have a good name that would somehow mean "guiding others" or similar to that. My father, as an astrophysicist, then commented about the role of the North Star, and that is how I came to have my name.
Right now, I am preparing to watch the 'super moon' phenomenon that my father mentioned earlier. A 'super moon' happens when the moon is the closest to Earth as it travels along its elliptical axis, either in its full or new face.
Ever since I was a child, I have this strong affection to the moon. On nights where no moon can be seen, I always feel sad and lonely. Even now, although I might not show it, but moonless nights are the loneliest for me.
This affection was greatly increased when, for the first time in my life, I saw the 'super moon'. The moon at that time was basked in reddish-orange light. It was truly fascinating. My heart pounded loudly as my consciousness drift its attention solely to the enlarge moon.
It was like my entire being was called into full focus. It was like I am being pulled towards it. The day after I watched the supermoon, I began feeling more delighted than usual. I feel complete yet at the same time partially lacking. Would the saying "Is the cup half-empty or half-full" explains it better?
The clear night sky is a contradiction to its condition hours before. Nobody can see a trace of the night rain. Well, that works in my favor. A rainy night is a cloudy night after all. With the clouds covering the sky, even if its a super moon, it will still be covered.
I brought out my telescope that I got from my dad for my tenth birthday. It was an old model of a Celestron telescope. Its body is long, cylindrical, and black-colored, with a tripod having a height of 4 feet maximum. Most telescopes found on television dramas look similar to this.
I positioned the telescope in my room's window. My window is facing East, so it was pretty convenient for moon watching.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
"Timecheck, its currently 10:30 pm, huh..."
I whispered to myself, and sighing as I wonder for how many more minutes do I have to wait for me to witness it again.
A couple of sodas and pizzas later, it was time. I adjusted my chair to level it with the telescope, and then I put on my headphones to start listening to my "intrumentals" playlist. I put a couple of sodas in the table near where I am currently located.
"Hooh... here you are again Mr. Moon."
My heart began pounding again. For the first time after ten years, I am seeing it again. The majestic view that is rarely seen by many, because of its frequency of occurrences and time of appearance.
"... What is that?"
I asked myself. I noticed a strange characteristic of this 'super moon'. There is some kind of light in the middle of it. It was a greenish light, and somehow it is on the pattern of the moon that looks like a large square-shape.
I began adjusting my telescope and zoom it in that specific point. I still can't get a clear view of the light, so I readjusted myself and made my telescope a bit longer.
"Argh..argggg.g..g. what...is ..wrong with my head!!!"
I feel a sudden sharp pain in my forehead. This headache is something that I have not experience ever in my life. It was like a nail is being driven straight into my brain. If there is an actual one being done in my head, I would not notice it because of this pain.
A sudden flash of light then envelopes my surrounding, as I suddenly feel light akin to floating.
...
"I don't know what happened, but am I suddenly dead?"
I asked myself a stupid question. No, wait. Its not totally stupid. Let me review what happened. I set up the telescope, then I watched the super moon, and then I saw some light on it. Suddenly, I suffered from an intense headache, and lastly I was envelope by some kind of light.
What can I deduce? First, its possible that the light I saw is the source of my headache. Okay, so far reasoning is functioning correctly. Checking the order of events, I might have:
A. Been abducted by aliens
B. Suffered from some kind of brain cancer/damage
C. Suddenly fell asleep, and all is but a dream.
D. Some mysterious power made it happened
E. The government's experimentation
My logic is also operational. However, I don't think I fell asleep. I mean, I know that I am totally awake right now. The second option might be the answer, yet I don't feel anymore pain. The fourth option seems believable right now, so is the first. I don't think it is the fifth option though, after all it won't explain the situation that I am currently in.
"Do you take this mudperson as your husband, and will care of him and be with him, until the great lunar cycle of life ends?"
"I will in the honor of the tranquil moonlight"
Hey, hey... what in the world is going on? Why am I standing in front of this huge crowd. And who in the world is this old lady speaking tongues that I do not have an idea of its meaning.
Lastly, who in the world is this girl who is currently holding my hand, wearing some kind of pink veil, and is replying to whatever the old lady is saying.
"Then let us do the vow of the moon for the exchange of covenants!"
The girl beside me suddenly removes her veil, and to my surprise...
"Ra..ra..rabbit's ears!?"
Okay, the sixth option:
F. A group of cosplay maniacs has kidnapped me for some unknown reason.
Yes, this is the only plausible answer. All of these mumbo jumbo must be the cause of obsession towards fictional characters. Damn, why is it always me?
"Wha..what are you doing!?"
The girl then held my hand, and slowly raise it towards her head. She then placed it in one of her fake bunny ears.
Her face showed a bit of embarrassment. Shouldn't I be the one embarrass by this? Wait, no no, Polaris lets go back to reason again. Why did she put my hand over her fake bunny ears?
With no logical reason, contrary to what I did earlier, I began to rub her 'fake' ears, and scratching it a bit. Actually it look more like tickling it, if it ever had a sensation.
However, when I began doing those actions I noticed that the ear were really soft, like something organic, something alive.
"This is a pretty well done props for a cosplay"
Flashes of green light began to surround my environment. Ah, don't tell it's that light again. Not good.
"Then I announce you as Husband and Wife!"
After the old lady said something a bit similar to English, the light enveloped both me and the girl in front of me.
