Right after creating a room for Kayl, I searched for Kaze using the surveillance of my dungeon. I found him in the dungeon core room along with Shironeko.
“Kaze, I need to speak with you.”
“Sure, master.”
I greeted Kaze while Shironeko quickly came up to me and rubbed her body on mine.
“… Uh… What are you doing Shironeko…?”
“Marking master.”
“…”
I went silent, but patted her head anyway due to the cute gestures she was doing. In no way is this considered pedophilia, do you hear me!!
While Shironeko was busy rubbing (it’s just clinging) her body on mine, I asked Kaze my question.
“Has Proxy met with the mayor of Granc yet?”
“No, not yet master.”
While petting the busy Shironeko, Kaze gave me an answer towards my question.
“Well then, I guess I’ll go check on him. You continue with the monster production, because even if the mayor doesn’t sign the contract for, we still need to help the town of Granc survive to ensure our survival.”
“Yes master.”
With that, Kaze left the room and went on his way to do as I instructed, even though it wasn’t any different from before. After he left, I went towards my PC with Shironeko still clinging to me. It seems like she’s sulking…
“Shironeko, you can stop now…”
“No!”
Seeing her determination to mark me, or whatever she’s doing makes a smile float up my face. I patted her head once more and brought her close to a hug.
“Don’t worry, I will not be taken away from you.”
“… Promise…?”
“Promise.”
I gave her my signature smile while using my signature move, [Headpats lv Max], if it was ever made into a skill.
Once she saw me smile and felt my warm hand rubbing her head, she obviously felt at ease and stopped her clinging to me.
“Okay…”
She stopped clinging to me, but instead, hopped on my lap.
“… Shironeko…?”
“That dog’s scent is still here, I’ll let it go away…”
“…”
If I heard what I heard correctly, then it’s probably best to let her to her thing. I’m not going to stop her, even though what’s happening right now is enough to put me in jail for life.
I ignored Shironeko sitting on my lap and booted up the PC. Once it booted up, I opened the application that could let me see through the eyes of Proxy.

~ Third Person POV ~
It’s the middle of the night, and Proxy as well as John and Paul were running through the dark road made of dirt. The trees were covering the light shining from the moon to the grassy ground, only the road was visible.
It has been about 5 hours since they escape from the Royal Capital, and ever since then, the three had been running nonstop faster than a horse could travel. And because of this, Proxy and his bodyguards were able to reach Granc, which would have normally taken two days to travel by carriage.
With time not on their side, their current action was just marvelous, causing them to arrive far earlier than the enemy could have ever imagined. When they arrived at the front gate, a guard posted during that time raised his weapon high in an attempt to stop the suspicious trio.
“Stop! Who goes there!?”
When the soldier raised his voice and approached the three suspicious individuals, Proxy and co. quickly stopped like a driver ramming on the brakes. Once the soldier got a good look to the three individuals though, he was stunned to see a familiar face.
“P-Proxy!? What are you doing here at this time?”
“We have news to bring the mayor of Granc.”
As a soldier who had witnessed the events a few days earlier at the dungeon, he was no stranger to the strength of this golem. And when he heard the grave news that came from Proxy’s mouth, he quickly went into a panic.
“What kind of news.”
“News that would be extremely dangerous to everyone currently living within Granc’s walls, I suggest that you let us meet with the mayor right this instant.”
“Hold on, I can’t just let you in without hearing a good reason. Either that, or we’ll have to take you three into custody.”
“… All right, just don’t go spreading this information this late at night. War is coming, between this country, and this town.”
“… Wait what…?”
“As I said, war is coming. If you don’t let us through to warn your mayor, then my master will not help in your endeavors to protect this place.”
Although what Proxy was saying is a just a bluff, to the soldier whose life and home was endangered, this was no laughing matter.
“I-If that’s true, then why didn’t you say so earlier!?”
“To prevent a panic and avoid waking the people up.”
“This is not the time to say that.”
The soldier was partly correct, because most of the people right now were asleep in their homes, unless a huge voice woke them up, then panic would not be spread. Yes, if a huge hadn’t woke them up.
“And you just woke them up. This is why I didn’t want to tell you.”
Realizing what soldier did, he quickly clammed up. Even though they were far from the houses, the light coming from the windows indicated that they are wide awake. When the doors opened and some dwellers came out to see what was going on, the soldier became flustered.
“So, will you let me in now? I really need to speak with your mayor.”
“… All right…”
The soldier gave passage to the trio and went to the awake people to tell them to go back to sleep. While Proxy was staring at the man who reaped what he sowed, he said to his bodyguards.
“Let’s go.”
Tomorrow morning will mark the day of Granc’s Fortification.

~ Daichi POV ~
A few hours later after observing how Proxy dealt with the nightshift guard, a tired looking man could be seen on the screen. On his hand, he held a feather pen and on the desk in front of him, a contract stating payment for war potential given by me.
“… Proxy… He wrung him dry…”
When I saw what the contract stated, my eyeballs nearly popped off.
1. The Dungeon Master will supply Granc with war potential (monsters) to help in the defense during the Civil War.
2. During this time, all non-combatants will seek refuge inside the dungeon.
3. For each monster supplied, Granc will pay an amount equal to the value of the monster.
4. After the Civil War ends, if Granc is victorious, Granc will have to be a part of the dungeon. There will be no threat to the residents’ lives of Granc.
5. In case of defeat, the Dungeon Master will hold every right to Granc after saving it from the clutches of the Kingdom; and
6. The Dungeon Master and Granc cannot, and will not do any actions that may harm each other. If this clause is broken, the party who has broken the clause will be immediately in the custody of the other party.
Basically, this contract was very, very, very, very advantageous to me, and only me. Whether Granc survives or not, I get the the whole town of Granc under my hands, and during the time of war, the non-combat residents of Granc will hole up in my dungeon, supplying me with tons and tons of DP.
“… I’ll have to thank Proxy for making this contract. Also, I’ll have to advise Kaze to create a floor solely for the residents of Granc.”
With those as my priorities, I quickly head on over to Kaze’s room after laying Shironeko down to sleep after she doze off on my lap.
“Looks like tomorrow will be busy.”
And after that, a Civil War will start.
