A weapon, a bow.

⎾Versatile's Bow⏌

Description: A weapon used by the celestial beings, a versatile bow that inherits the abilities of its former wearer, Versatile, the Guardian Angel of Tombs. Each personal stat possessed by the user (STR, AGI, INT, etc.) is converted into bonus attributes (Physical Damage, Accuracy, Magical Damage, etc.).

I obtained this weapon from Eve's Sanctuary, said to disrupt the game's stability, the Diniver. Even from just reading the description, it's already severely broken, man!

Now, onto the next stage: how does this ability work?

Although in the form of a weapon, a bow no less, fundamentally, this is the manifestation of an ability called Versatile. It's not explained if this ability itself has any embedded skills, and I don't think it does. As far as I know, an ability is a singular form of "skill" without any other skills embedded within it. So…

In a challenging pose, I aim forward. I don't have physical arrows, but magical arrows are created when I pull the bowstring. My MP bar decreases, and the longer I hold back from releasing this magic arrow, my MP continues to drain at a certain pace.

Using MP as a substitute for physical arrows, and the longer I hold this pose, the greater amount of MP it receives. It's like a charging attack, you could say. In that case, there's only one conclusion: the greater the MP, the greater the output DMG as well.

I count to four seconds. It's the maximum limit for charging this bow's attack. I will name it the "charge-magic attack."

And I release it!

With the distinctive sound of a shooting arrow, I see the large rock that is my target scratched by a rather small and ordinary explosion.

I use the magic arrow, which deals magic damage instead of physical damage. Its weakness is its significantly weaker penetration compared to physical attacks. "It was said that the user's attribute would be converted into bonus status, and for me, it's clear that I excel only in magic damage."

My assumption is that if someone with high STR status, for example were to shoot the arrow, it would have physical damage and penetration, potentially causing more damage to the large rock.

Now...

I draw the bowstring again, targeting the same object, but this time I add something: "[Cast: Javelin!]"

I'm almost jumping for joy as my magic truly manifests into a fancy magical arrow, more impressive than a normal-magic attack. The cost in MP is the same as casting Javelin in normal mode, but my MP drains as I hold the charging pose longer. Four seconds, the same as for a normal-magic attack with this bow. What happens when it's a charge attack for an infused-skill?!

Shooooot!

The javelin shoots at an impressive speed, trailing dust that quickly explodes upon hitting the targeted rock. The dust settles, leaving behind a large rock that no longer resembles its original form.

I'm still curious. I try the same thing for the second time and release the magic into an open area without a specific target. Then, for the third time, I do the same without charging it.

"So charging the infused-skill-magic-arrow increases its radius, huh. But if that's all, it's still not enough to measure the prowess of Versatile."

With that in mind, I run aimlessly to find monsters that I can use as guinea pigs. I don't find them nearby, so without patience, I release a normal-magic-arrow towards a tree. It leaves a deep and directed wound on the tree trunk.

I draw the bowstring again and cast Firebolt, letting the charge stance last as long as possible.

Penetrating through the rows of trees and bushes, I boldly leap forward. I can sense the presence of monsters in this area. And indeed, I see three wild boars, the monsters, who are unaware of my presence. I run in a circle to find the right angle, then release the magic from this bow.

Sliding through the dusty terrain, I unleash my skill-infused-magic-arrow. Dust and debris follow my arrow as it shoots through the air, engulfed in flames. All three of my targets are easily pierced with just one shot, their forms disappearing.

I watch as my unleashed skill-infused-magic-arrow continues to fly straight. My arrow penetrates through the wild vegetation, roots, and tree trunks, burning them before its energy depletes and fades away.

So, with charging, the skill-infused arrow enhances the parameters of the infused skill, huh? It seems like the power and potency of the magic do indeed increase, but I need more experimentation to be sure.

But, oops! I didn't pay enough attention, but as required, while Versatile is still active, my MP continues to drain, and now it has reached a critically low level. I can't attempt to use advanced magic with this MP level, "But there's still one option," I thought.

Realizing something, I run in a direction following the available path. Drawing my bow, I say, "[Cast: Arrow Rain!]" and my MP decreases until it's just about to touch the bottom left corner.

In the worst-case scenario, I will run out of MP: the versatile mode will vanish as soon as my MP is depleted, along with the skill-infused arrow that I am still holding. While running with a specific goal in mind, I take this gamble.

As the contrast of brightness around me shifts, I come to a sudden halt and release an arrow slightly upwards. In front of me, the single arrow I released multiplies into hundreds of magical arrows that soar straight ahead. At the same time, my mana reaches its lowest point, and Versatile fades from my grasp.

Honestly, I have my own satisfaction from all of this. If I may hope, "I hope the developers won't record my actions and publish them."

"No other side effects like physical fatigue or anything," I muttered, looking down, opening and clenching both of my hands. "So the main issue is just the MP drain, as usual. No problemo."

Now, now. I turn my body towards a bush that has been rustling all this while. "You can come out, you know," I said.
