Chapter 21

“I fucking love how these blows of limbs.”

“Yeah.”

“Just like Boom. Kapow. Then their head would burst.”

A day had passed since the Spirit Printer had started to produce stuff and it had never stopped.

There were chat functions in the Nexusnet and Izo advertised heavily. He thought it would take long for him to get customers and the first hours was silence but soon enough they were flooding his dm.

Izo had to create a website where they would order there and at the front was the waiting list.

The Future Trading (He didn’t name it. The drunkards did.) website was on facilitating the orders.

“How can I get more Future?”

“You have to wait for your turn or add 50% to your order then you’ll be on the VIP list. I know 50% but none of you guys would be dissuaded otherwise.”

“How about 30%?”

“You heard it already Atlantean. Now go shut your trap and stop bargaining.”

“Huh? You want to fight with this daddy?”

“I don’t stoop to the level of vagrants.”

‘Ugh. These guys.’

Petro and Nabih’s people had been ruffling each other’s feathers and trying to incite the counterpart to fight. It was easy to spot them since both fancied heavy armor, spear and easily enraged.

This was very prevalent with the criminal or ruffian followers. Though they were a minority, these grey area candidates were violent and loud.

Soon enough they asked each other for a spar and it might seem that the Atlantean had the advantage. Faith gathering had made Petro’s followers powerful.

The best part about sparring here was once death was assured with one’s attack, the candidate would be teleported away from each other. This made the training highly accurate and productive since nothing was held back.

‘How extravagant.’

Every time Izo thought deeply about their candidate training and he realizes little cost was spared to give them the best training.

‘How much would a Spirit Printer cost and would it even be available? Are these weapons even accessible at all?’

The fight begun and the Atlantean jumped to the air. Ice formed below his feet and he used it to rice high. The spear point was covered in frost and when it was swung, it sent heavy ice crystals.

Some of the Atlanteans felt superior to common Earthlings and they had claim since they could use superhuman powers naturally. So, a few of them decided to forgo the three basic spiritual arts and bought their own.

This Atlantean chose one where it drained his blood so he had to eat and use blood increasing items. It was costly but he didn’t have to think about training and their power simply increased.

Ice once more gathered at the spear point then it suddenly grew a meter wide.

Petro’s follower had been passive at this point. His enemy’s aggressive attack would simply drain his spirituality. Biding his time until the 1 meter ice attack came only then was the necklace activated.

Faith Gathering got more powerful with the more people having the same promise. Thus the majority of practitioners here was those who promised to train 10 hours a day. Arena fighting, sparring and exercising all counted to this and thus they quickly grew into power.

The necklace glowed gold and it sent a power to his body. Covered in gold armor, he jumped and caught up to the Atlantean.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Both of them expected the fight to go in this direction and now it was a battle of courage. There spears swung, parried and riposte while gravity pulled them down. The Atlanteans ice platforms couldn’t be made at the same time as he was fighting.

Soon enough they were fist fighting and grappling each other in the air. Even when the ground loomed they didn’t let go.

Both of the men were knocked out.

“Idiots. How about fighting smarter.”

“Another draw.”

“You guys didn’t even use your magic equipment.”

The neutral bystanders jeered at the fighters. Faith gathering medics who also knew mundane medicine treated the two then moved them out of the way. Another spar would soon begin.

If the spiritual arts among the candidate was put into percentage it would be 65% Faith Gathering, 20% Dream State Consciousness, 5% Basic Mana Manipulation and 10% others and not yet decided.

Its simple biological law: the less energy used and the more it helps the more attractive. The more energy reserve the more fight one can have.

None of the Dream State Consciousness and Basic Mana Manipulation have been able to use spiritual skills. Some have breakthrough just like him and they also couldn’t do anything.

When they asked their scouts, they were told that each person had a different dreams and souls.

None of those who wants to learn mana just has the knowledge and experience for them to manipulate it.

‘Sun Hee has been crazily studying the Spirit Printer.’

Since she proxied as protection, Izo made sure to get her food and drinks as the girl tends to forget to eat. He could afford it easily since he earned 4000 points just yesterday.

He borrowed another 1000 from Sung Soo and Sun Hee then reinvested it on the production pair. Anymore however and the demand wouldn’t keep up.

Izo stopped to buy food and then returned to his hut.

*

‘Genius. Genius’

The dumb Izo only saw these things as money makers but Sun Hee could see them as crystallization of knowledge.

The three behemoths collaborated on Spirit Printers to fulfill one big need: teleporting equipment through dimension barriers was too costly. Instead, they brought the production facility then they would use the resources there.

‘It’s using the natural properties of matter to aide spiritual manipulation.’

A simple example was a mage could boil water and turn it into steam by vibrating the molecules forcefully. If the water was placed on a cauldron and fire lit under it, a mage could simply magnify the process and thus fire a steam cannon.

Sun Hee excited by this prospect bought a lighter and a mango from the store. She placed the fruit over the fire with enough distance that it wouldn’t burn but it would evaporate the water of the fruit.

She concentrated and made the mana particles copy the air molecules. Since most variables were conducive to it heating up, it was easy for it to mimic the air molecules.

Sun Hee watched as the mango dried up within seconds. Then it burned and only ash was left.

“Puhahaha!”

‘I did it. I performed magic!’

She laughed for a full minute until her belly was hurting. Only then did she notice that the door was open. Izo stood there with chicken tendies and ketchup on a stone plate. His mouth was mum and his hand was grabbing the wooden doors handle.

“Would you believe me if I wasn’t thinking of anything bad?”

Izo pulled the door but since it wasn’t perfectly fitted, it required a little more force. It skidded the soil and creaked until it was closed.

Sun Hee heard him whistling behind the door.

She opened it a sliver and peeked out but it was promptly shut again.

*

‘That mango had a life.’

It was meant to grow ripe and be placed in loamy soil. In time it would grow into a tree and sire more mango.

Now, it was dead because of an insane woman’s experiments.

The door fought him and threatened to open. Scared of releasing the evil inside, Izo held it close. After a while, the force disappeared and he waited a minute before entering.

Izo placed the food on a table with a single chair, making sure not to peek the witch to his right.

The machines could be queued up to produce continuously so he, Sun Hee and Sung Soo only need to pick up the products. Sometimes, they need to teleport it through the Nexusnet to the other camps.

They went with this system since they had their own things to do. The concept of fixed teams had died off anyway and they would simply gather on the gates.

‘She’s sulking, isn’t she?’

Izo could feel it whether the evil was radiating its feelings or he just knew.

“What did you find out about the Spirit Printer?”

“It combines multiple spiritual arts from the three powers! Some of its parts are faith artifacts, some of its is mana enchanted and it even has a soul!”

“A soul? This thing is alive?”

“A certain part of it is. It seems the Dynasty has a shaman spirit art where they partner with a natural spirit. Its in there! The natural spirit is dreaming and controlling the printer’s function!”

Thinking about her words, wasn’t the spirit liable to rebel. Izo asked the skipping and gesticulating with her hands Sun Hee.

“No, it’s thinking has been neutered.”

His face changed.

“Isn’t this a brain-dead slave?”

“Yes.”

Sun Hee got a bit sad while Izo asked himself.

‘Is this morally wrong?’

He thought so.

‘Should he return it?’

He ruminated and alternated between slow shaking of heads to a cringe face.

‘No.’

Izo would just lose money for great loss and the practice wouldn’t stop.

‘Is this even morally evil in the Dynasty people’s perspective?’

Who was he to say it was evil based on Earth’s standards? Izo will just have to make great use of the spirit’s sacrifice to benefit the candidates here.

“Umm. As you saw, I also have a base idea of how to use magic.”

“Really?”

“Yes, even magic enchantment.”
