Prologue
Spoiler :
In the dark of night, a young man was seen sprinting down various streets. His movements were abnormally fast; greater than that of a human. A faint red energy could be seen escaping his shoes as he frantically weaved his way across several blocks, desperately searching for a place to hide.
High in the sky were two helicopters with search lights attached to their noses. Those intense beams of light traveled across the ground in search for the young man. The pilots hastily maneuvered their helicopters to cover large distances and they moved in opposite directions of each other so they would have a higher chance of discovering their target.
The young man continued to search for a safe haven. However, who in their right mind would let a random person in their home during a police chase? Besides, the man would prefer not to involve innocent people if all possible.
Due to his frantic state of mind, the man failed to notice the approaching vehicle blockade. Police cruisers were lined trunk to hood across the entire street, blocking the path forward. Police officers exited the cars and quickly grabbed their firearms within their hands.
The officers, after seeing the man's speed increase, abandoned the hope of a negotiation. That hope was already incredibly faint to begin with, however, there's always a chance. Now, that hope was ripped apart as they watched the man decrease the distance between them. Most of the officers noticed the man's emotionless visage which, coupled with a sudden strange suffocating pressure, caused chills to creep up their spines and fear to grip their hearts.
"FIRE AT WILL!!"
Flashes of light and loud bangs spread throughout the vicinity as bullets sped through the air toward the man. A barrier of red energy manifested just before him, stopping all of the bullets that managed to be aimed directly at him. Regardless of this, the onslaught of bullets continued.
When the man was about five meters in-front of the blockade, he leaped over the vehicles to reach the other side. He roughly landed on the street, slightly crushing the ground beneath his feet. The officers turned around and their faces instantly turned pale. They watched as the man slowly turned around as a murderous light shined within his eyes while the rest of his expression remained expressionless.
The man raised both his palms toward the officers. A full second later, red palm-shaped energy blasted toward the men. The energy made the officers explode into globs of gore that splattered across the ground and vehicles behind them. The remaining officers, screaming in fear, began to wildly unload their ammo into the man's body. The man instantly shot energy toward those men and blasted their bodies apart into clouds of blood and intestines.
The bullets lodged within his body popped out, letting blood drip out of the holes. All the blood in the area began to swarm toward the man's body before disappearing within it. The various wounds on his body instantly healed, leaving not even a scratch behind.
While the man was pondering that question, a bright light blinded him in its brilliance. Snapped out of his thoughts, he quickly turned around and resumed his seemingly meaningless escape.
"If I can just get out of this city, I can possibly lose the helicopters and other police forces. However, what would I do after that...?"
After losing the helicopter and entering an even darker section of a neighborhood, the man slowed down to a walk. Just before he was going to hide within a thick group of bushes, a sudden burst of pressure knocked him to his knees. It was as if a mountain crashed down on his shoulders, shocking him to the extreme. Despite this, he forced himself to look up to the creator of such an immense pressure.
In-front of him stood a tall, slender woman. She wore black clothing which was quite tight upon her body, revealing her natural curves. The black clothing was emphasized by her long, silver hair that stretched down to her waist. It contained a natural shine while emitting a mysterious but faint energy. Her black eyes glared down at the man which sent a chill up his spine.
The pressure was suddenly lifted, allowing the man stand. He discovered he could do nothing as the woman took long strides toward him. He tried to speak, however, he lost the ability to do that as well. He watched the woman clench her hand into a fist and smash it into his stomach. The last thing he saw was a glow of silver before darkness covered his eyes.
Chapter 0.5
Spoiler :
-Two months earlier, on a route home from a High School...-
"Heeeey, look it's little Bitch over there. Hey, Bitch!"
"Why isn't he turning around?"
"He's ignoring you, man! Bitch thinks he can get away by just ignoring? Ha!"
A group of four guys walked over to a single young man, Kyte. Kyte knew he was being bullied, but he thought that it's fortunate the bullies never went over the line. Or at least he hoped they didn't.
The bigger of the four put his hand on Kyte's left shoulder and turned him around. A disdainful expression covered his face as he opened his mouth to speak:
"Hey, BITCH. I was calling for you, and I couldn't help but notice...you ignoring my calling?"
"I'm sorry, are you speaking to me? My ears render the voices of assholes inaudible."
The three other guys covered their mouths to try to hide their snickering, however, Asshole noticed it anyway. His face instantly changed from one of contempt to anger.
"Ohhh, I see, you think you're tough shit just because you’re valedictorian? Well, can't you see around you? No one fucking likes you, all the so called 'friends' you had all abandoned you because you're a fucking bitch!"
"If a bitch repels people, then I guess pricks attract people. I guess that's why you have so many douche-bag 'friends'."
Asshole's anger reached a boiling point when those words entered his ears. Without hesitation, Asshole gripped the front of Kyte's shirt with his hands. He lifted him up above his head before slamming him down onto the hard concrete below.
Kyte grimaced from the pain of his back smashing against the sidewalk. He immediately felt small traces of wetness on his back, indicating that the assault gave him several scratches. He clenched his jaw, keeping in the painful groan that he almost released.
"Bitch, don't forget that I'm able to break you like snapping a twig in half. Your smarts are nothing compared to real strength."
"Heh...in ten years, you'll be the one below me, licking my shoes when I make a hundred times more money than you ever will, considering the fact that you barely passed senior year. What college are you going to? HA! What college wants to accept a fucking retard!"

Asshole instantly frowned as a dangerous feeling emerged from him. He let go of Kyte and stood up, stepping away from him.
"Guys, bring Bitch and follow me."
"Where we goin', Jay?"
"Shut up! Just bring him and follow me!"
~~~
-Twenty minutes later-
The sounds of rough impacts spread throughout an old room within an abandoned home. Asshole smashed his fists across and directly against Kyte's face. However, he didn't stop there. He would even use his elbows to deal blows to Kyte's body, leaving deep gashes wherever he was hit.
"You think you're tough now, huh?!"
Asshole slammed his fist against Kyte's face, making blood spray onto the dirty floor. Kyte's nose leaked that thick red liquid, his cheeks stained with crimson, his lips were busted, even the areas around his eyes weren't given mercy.
Asshole's three friends began to feel awkward watching the scene continue. Clearly uncomfortable, one of them scratched the back of his neck before he stepped forward and said:
"Yo, Jay...I think that's enough..."
Asshole got up and glared back at the guy who spoke. Asshole was full of pent up anger and the only way he could get rid of it was lying on the floor with a battered face.
"Shut up! I'm not done yet! If you want to leave, then leave! I'm not going anywhere till I beat this chicken shit into a pulp!"
The three guys stood there, continuing to watch the brutal beating. Asshole turned his attention back to Kyte. He glowered down at him, clearly intent on continuing his assault. He lifted his leg up and slammed it down on Kyte's stomach. He maintained this action for a few more kicks before one of his friends stepped in and grabbed Asshole's shoulder.
"Jay! Stop it man! He's gonna fuckin' die!"
The other two, after seeing their friend move forward, immediately followed and carried Asshole away from Kyte. The three friends had frightened expressions on their faces, as if they couldn't believe what they witnessed. Their disbelief turned into heart-gripping fear after thinking of the consequences if word of what occurred got out.
Asshole was breathing heavily as some spurts of saliva flew out of his mouth onto the floor. Blood painted his arms and several spots were seen on his torso. His knuckles were torn with blood dripping off his hands onto the ground and his elbows, albeit suffering less damage, also leaked small spots of blood.
"Let's go. I'm done here. Once we graduate, we’ll never see this trash again."
Asshole shook his friends off before stumbling for a few steps as he speed walked out of the old home. His friends gave small glances at Kyte as he lay sprawled against the floor before they quickly followed behind Asshole.
Kyte was left alone within the dark and lonely home. The damage he sustained around his eyes caused those areas to swell which hindered his ability to see. He struggled to sit up as a stabbing pain pierced through his upper body. Blood slipped down his face due to his new position, however, he barely noticed because the pain blocked most of the feeling of touch.
Shit, I didn't know Asshole was such a sadist.
Heaving large breaths, Kyte struggled to stand. Fortunately Asshole didn’t damage his legs. However, although Kyte didn’t do anything, he was still exhausted from the beating. His legs continually shook as he almost tumbled over himself trying to travel next to a wall. He managed to make the distance to the wall which he planted his hands against for support.
With his feeble limbs, Kyte started his long journey to his original destination: his home. That whole occurrence lasted about an hour, mostly because it took some time to travel to the abandoned house. He slowly made his way to the front door as sweat had eventually appeared, mixing with the drops of blood on his face.
Just as his right foot moved across the threshold, a strong feeling of longing pulled at Kyte’s back. He instinctively looked back, however, there was nothing there. He felt confused at the suddenness of the feeling, as if it happened on purpose. He didn’t know why he felt that way nor did he know why it was directed at him. All he could do at that moment was do his best to travel home. His injuries were on the serious side so he wanted to make it home to apply first aid to himself. He didn’t want to go to a hospital because he didn’t have that kind of money, and, he’s capable of aiding himself.
He brushed off that mysterious feeling and continued on his way. Once his entire body exited the house, that longing disappeared. To Kyte, it wasn’t something that would be labeled as creepy. Curiosity instantly grew within him more strongly than before. Despite the horrible experience within the home, he decided to visit once more after he bandaged himself. His resistance to curiosity can only go so far.
Fortunately there were fences lined up in-front of every house along the long streets that led to Kyte’s home. Otherwise, he would’ve had a much more difficult time. The sky had already begun to change when the sun started to slowly drop to the horizon. Soft clouds littered the sky and they grew darker as dusk went into full swing. It wasn’t a creepy feeling but rather a calming one, especially when the sun changed the clouds’ original grey colors to shades of orange and purple.
Kyte admired the sky as he made his way home. He loved the natural world and more so to discover the secrets as to why such things are possible. His interest was not only limited to that, however. What he strived for the most were the answers to the vast cosmos. Unfortunately, despite modern times, science had yet to create a way to leave the planet. Whether it was a lack of ambition or something else, Kyte didn’t know.
It had taken about an hour and a half to reach his home. Originally, he didn’t live far away from his high school. Due to his injuries, he was forced to find support so he could walk. Crossing from one side of the street to the other was a significant challenge for him, though he eventually managed to cross them. Fortunately there weren’t any vehicles that passed through.
After he entered his two-story home, Kyte immediately traveled to the bathroom. He searched through the various drawers and pulled out several different items. Bandages, water, gauze, and other things that were necessary to clean his wounds. It took him a while to completely apply aid to himself, however, it was worth it. He also took a quick rinse in his shower before fixing himself up just to get the dirt and grime off his body. His wounds intensely stung when water flowed over them but Kyte knew he just had to pull through.
Afterward, he exhaustingly traveled to his room. Unfortunately for him, his room was located on the second story of the house. Although that was the case, he had enough support from the walls and railing to help him. He had also rested for a few minutes before beginning to head toward his room which gave him a small amount of energy.
Once he saw his bed, he instantly gained a small spurt of energy. He practically ran toward it and rolled on top of the soft blankets that covered his already comfortable bed.
The last thing he remembered before sleep claimed him was a small portrait that was placed on a bookshelf next to his bed.
