Third chapter of the week! Holy crap I'm on a roll! This one is longer than the other two as well. Writing during school is more efficient than I thought. Anyway, enjoy.

(First Person POV)
Wow, that was intense. I never felt something like that before. What a guy. I feel as if I was an ant looking up at a giant foot that was crashing down on top of me. No wonder his level only showed question marks. Actually, his level wasn’t the only thing. His name, race, and class all showed question marks. What the Hell does that mean? Maybe I’m just not high enough level yet. Speaking of which...

I’m level forty, huh. I’ve been farming these Walkers for the past two days. They’re all around level twenty to thirty. I was pretty lucky to kill my first one, which was killed by a trap I created with some rubble. I also swooped in and finished off some injured Walkers too, which gave me free XP. I did almost get killed a few times, but I’m past that now. Once I reached level thirty I couldn’t find any Walkers that could harm me. Which was probably a good thing, since I can sleep- Wait, I don’t even need to sleep anymore. What’s up with that?
Anyway, you wanna know what happened, right? Well, when I heard that crunch after I fell out the window, I blacked out. Obviously. I woke up and I could barely breath and it was pretty dark, too. I thought I was under some collapsed rubble or something but it turns out there were corpses on top of me. Why? I have no idea. All I know is that it smelled horrible. I wanted to kill myself it was so bad. Ah...that’s kind of ironic.
I was disappointed that I was still alive, to be honest. I was hoping for some rest after I blacked out, but that wasn’t the case. In fact, my situation was worse than before I flung myself out of my apartment. Why the Hell were there corpses on top of me? Then, the next thing that caught my eye was this thing:
[tr]
Congratulations Due to a certain interference, you have been given the ability Gamer.
I was so confused...Though, I felt excitement building up within me. Oh how much did I long for something like this. My life before felt like a waste of an existence. I barely had enough money to pay my rent, I was eating noodles all the time, and I only had a part-time job at McFoodle’s. McFoodle’s! I was a college graduate for pete sake. Well, maybe not an actual graduate, but...I had experience!
Thankfully the manager there liked me enough to let me fuck her every day. I don’t know if logic was present within her mind. I had merely helped her out for a few days and when she found out that I didn’t have a job: Poof! I got a job! I’m pretty sure she only gave herself to me was because she was depressed from a breakup or something. That’s what I assumed, anyway. Still. She was hot, pussy was good, nothing bad happened, it was worth it.
I’m kinda sad I couldn’t take her to pound-town again, though. If she was still “alive”, she would most definitely be a Walker. I don’t want to fuck a zombie-thing. Now that I think about it...I was pretty desperate to fuck a McFonald’s (what’s the name again?) manager. Got me a job, though.
Anyway, back to where I was. Right, my life before this all happened was a waste. I had nothing going for me. I just delaying my inevitable suicide. Which I actually did do, if it weren’t for this new stuff. That blue screen was a like the light at the end of a tunnel. If I ever wanted to fuck good pussy again, this was the way to go. You may think that finding good pussy is a stupid goal, but hey, you gotta look at it from my perspective. I’m a lonely dude whose only type of close contact with a female was sex. It was nice too. I’d rather have sex than smoke a pack a day. Just as long as there’s no STDs or babies involved...Am I even able to impregnate still? I wonder.
I keep getting off track. Ah, the life of a wanderer. That dude told me to go to the East Station. Unfortunately, I have no idea where that is. Hahaha, funny, right? East is in the name. Problem is, I don’t know where or how far east to go. If that made sense. I wonder if my Gamer ability comes with a map or something? That would be great.
Well, right now I’m just walking around looking for some higher level Walkers. Haven’t found a single one over level thirty yet. If my hypothesis is correct, then these Walkers gain strength from devouring each other. Unfortunately I only gain abilities by eating. I gain XP by killing, that’s it. I wonder if there’s more animal monsters? I’ve seen dogs and cats that have turned, but nothing else so far. Maybe I should go to Lakewood Forest. Is that even the name?
Hmm, but that dude did say to go to East Station...nah, let’s go to the forest first. Sounds funner. I mean, more fun...Hopefully I’ll be able to get some nice stuff from the monsters there.

(Original POV)
Along the way back to the apartment, Kyte slaughtered any monster he came across. If someone looked down from above, they would be able to see a clear path of cleanliness among the blood-red districts. It stretched from the clean area around the apartment to at least two miles out. Kyte was actually quite satisfied by this, since being clean was something he cared about.
Surprisingly, there were no attacks from Guardians during this time. That Kyte knows about, of course. It’s just that he didn’t sense any Guardians within the areas he was traveling. There could have been Guardians attacking the trains heading to the Core, or they could be ambushing the different Branches before they board it.
Ironically, probably, the first thing Kyte noticed when he saw the apartment building from afar was a lot of destruction. It looked like the building itself was attacked as there were giant holes throughout its structure. Amazingly enough, it hadn’t fallen yet. Kyte increased his speed as he flew through the air.
After reaching the building, he took out his phone and messaged Rose. Although, a second later he heard someone calling for him from the ground.
“Kyte! Down here!”
“Hm? Oh...they’re down there.”
Kyte looked down and saw everyone standing in the street. He quickly landed on the ground and approached them, asking:
“What happened?”
“Guardians. They suddenly attacked us out of nowhere. There were two S rank Guardians as well. Thankfully I was able to destroy them.” Akina replied.
Kyte looked over the others and saw they had multiple injuries. Even Dan had a long cut down his arm.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“What about those pills you have?” Kyte asked.
“For some reason, I’m temporarily unable to access them. It’s been like this since I woke up.”
“I see…Guys, take these.”
Kyte walked over and gave everyone a single pill each. Of course, he didn’t give them his strongest pills because if a pill was too powerful it could be detrimental. After taking the pills, everyone’s injuries quickly healed without even a scar.
“Thanks, Kyte.”
“No problem. I have more than I need. So, I’m guessing we should head over to East Station, right?”
“Yea, we were waiting for you to get here. Before that, go and collect the materials from the Guardians. Only take the S ranked ones.” Akina said.
“Alright.”
After collecting the Guardians’ remains, Kyte rejoined the group before they made their way to East Train Station. The next train wouldn’t be arriving for a few hours so that gave them enough time to stroll toward the station. Of course, along the way Kyte would remove any monsters they encountered. Sometimes he would save a few for Jol or Lucy to practice on, since the two of them didn’t really get a lot of combat experience.
As the East Station came into view, everyone breathed out sighs of relief. Just as Kyte was about to give a sigh of relief, a small surge of information entered his head detailing the location of Mark. Kyte stopped mid-sigh to change it from relief to annoyance.
“Guys, I’ll be right back. I got involved with something and I have to go check it out.” Kyte said.
“Where are you going?” Rose asked.
“Looks to be...not that far from Lakewood Forest. I’ll be back in a little. See ya guys.”
Kyte flew off into the air in the direction of the signal. Honestly, Kyte was quite annoyed. He had given Mark that sphere not even a full day ago and he already used it. How troublesome would this guy be? As Kyte flew toward the destination, he wondered if taking Mark to his side was a good idea.
After flying at full speed for a few minutes, Kyte finally saw Mark’s figure. Unfortunately, he was completely surrounded by a horde of monsters who all looked to be at least close to A rank in power.
What in the world? What the Hell did this guy do to attract so many strong monsters? Is this guy stupid?
Kyte sighed again before arriving above Mark. He was about ten meters high and he looked down at the depressed figure beneath him. The monsters were at least ten feet from him, so Kyte wanted to wait a few seconds before doing anything. Well, he wouldn’t take action until it was necessary, at least.
“Hey, Mark. How stupid do you have to be to get surrounded by these guys?” Kyte said.
“Huh?! You’re here!! Please, save me! I’m surrounded!” Mark’s eyes sparkled with hope when he saw Kyte floating in the air.
“Try not to sound so pathetic. Also, I know you’re surrounded. Try to get out.”
“What?! Are you insane! All these guys are at least level thirty-eight! I can’t do that!”
“Hm? I thought you were looking for monsters like this. I mean, if you didn’t want them, why are you here?”
“Can you stop being a smart ass and help me!”
“Umm...No.”
“Why?!”
“You got yourself into this mess. Get yourself out.”
I say that, but if he actually has no chance, I’ll have no choice but to save him.
Mark had already swatted away a few monsters as they were speaking, and now the monsters were endlessly coming at him. His only weapon was a large baseball bat that he got from somewhere, and every time he hit a monster it would suddenly explode into pieces.
“Say, I’m assuming you have a blunt weapon proficiency or something, right?” Kyte asked.
“Haa...yea..why?”
“Hmm...nothing.”
Kyte was slightly laughing at the show in-front of him. It was quite entertaining to watch someone go through such a difficult tribulation. It was a first to see someone actually surrounded by monsters, though it seemed like Mark was doing fine. Well, for now at least.
Kyte could see that Mark was getting tired as his swings were becoming less frequent. He probably had a stamina bar or something and once that runs out, he’s done for. However, Kyte still didn’t move. Mark had managed to clear a path up to a higher elevated area due to fallen rubble, which gave him a little leeway. Despite this, he still had numerous injuries from the many attacks he had to force himself through. The monsters were still throwing themselves at him and he was barely holding them off.
However, one managed to get through. It latched onto his left leg and tried to drag him down. Its extra hand formed a fist and smashed Mark’s leg, making him involuntarily scream out in pain. Another grabbed his right leg and did the same. Just before a third was about to slam its fist down onto his stomach, a small flash of determination appeared in Mark’s eyes.
To Kyte’s astonishment, the world energy around Mark swarmed toward the baseball bat before he desperately swung it horizontally across the monsters in-front of him. A force completely destroyed the monsters in-front of him, saving him from their grasp. Kyte clearly saw world energy change into a different form of energy than the elements, which then blasted the monsters into smithereens.
World energy can be changed into other forms of energy other than the elements? No wonder...HAHAHA! Wonderful! That’s right, if world energy is everything, then why can’t it be changed into something other than the elements? This is amazing! I never would have thought of this on my own!
Kyte began to laugh quite loudly in the air over his new discovery. This completely changes his own understanding of world energy and the black light. Kyte could feel a sudden surge of power within his body, directly pulling him into mid seventh stage! The black light within him slightly stirred, as if it reacted to something. Small waves in the ocean of black light within Kyte’s soul began to swerve back and forth in a certain rhythm. The small sphere within the ocean slightly grew as it began to suck in even more black light. The light within the sphere grew in intensity, however, even then it wasn’t powerful enough to be seen unless you were right next to it.
I just broke through? Right, once I reached the seventh stage, just increasing my Internal energy won’t allow me to break through.
Kyte looked at Mark with even greater interest than before. He watched as Mark swung the baseball bat and destroyed the surrounding monsters. There were only a few left, but Kyte could see that Mark’s condition was deteriorating. He gave one last swing, which killed the remaining monsters, before collapsing on top of the rubble pile.
Kyte flew down, grabbed Mark, and took him into a random house. He placed him on a bed after forcing a pill down his throat. Kyte brought over a small wooden table from a different room and placed it by the side of the bed. He took out a few items from the storage necklace and placed them on the table, along with another Signal Sphere. Kyte stepped back to look at the items, and pondered whether or not he should leave single drop of his blood.
He would only put in information pertaining to the first six stages of the Bloodrage Technique, nothing more. The only things within the information would be the skills and technique detailing how to cultivate.
If Kyte did so, that would mean that he and Mark would be linked. Not mentally or physically, but by fate. Kyte would directly link Mark to him by fate, and basically Mark would be his disciple. That would be quite interesting, however, there’s also risks involved.
What if Mark didn’t want to be underneath Kyte? Would Mark betray Kyte?
After thinking for a full ten minutes, Kyte decided not to leave a drop of his blood. Giving Mark access to the Bloodrage Technique was too risky. Besides, Kyte assumed Mark’s Gamer ability allowed him several different paths to take. Adding on to that is his Absorption ability, which may have even more potential than the Gamer ability. If the Absorption ability isn’t limited to biological organisms, then he could eat anything and gain its ability. He could eat any of the rings from Kyte’s storage necklace and gain its power. That’s a scary thought.
Kyte decided not to put in too much with Mark, so he took away one item from the table. Feeling satisfied, Kyte silently left the house and flew back to East Station.
