Chapter 26: Very productive day
‘Energetically rising out of bed’ “what a night” switching clones has a side effect for sure, most of my dreams were in the third person, “weird”. In a game it's fine you have that computer barrier but in real life, freaky best describes it. ‘stepping out of bed’ “ahh cold!” ‘immediately puts on armor’ Who needs clothes when you have awesome magic armor that lets you fly.
“Sigh; at least I don’t sleep in my armor then I really would be crazy”. I've started trying to speak out loud to myself more, if I internalize my voice too much I will develop speech problems. I’m sure that would not be good.
‘Flys downstairs’ quietly making breakfast, need to get more ingredients soon I am getting pretty bored of all this. Finding animals would be great, sheep, cows, pigs. Love them all. ‘Mentally going through what I can do today’. First I still have that project with the auto farmers, the sooner the better. I also need to find a way to “/sethome” so to speak. You know, thinking about it I have brought the reality closer to the game at every step. I created an inventory, I made it so I can respawn and I even made it easier to build. I wonder if I have a subconscious reason for doing that? Conjecture aside, it's my subconscious, it won't tell me and I doubt the thought process is productive.
With that in mind, I think focusing on a teleportation device to return home is best. If only for the peace of mind in knowing home is a moment away. My first thought is waystones, but the crafting recipe… yeah that’s impossible – for now. Alright next, well theoretically I could just abandon my clone, if my items are in my golden bag I would be home in no time, but that feels cheap and annoying.
After mentally going through all the mods I know, I chose to search ‘teleporter’ inside my NEI. Telepad hmm, a whole mod called telepad. Searching up the mod, it's rather small… exactly what I need. Mostly made with ender pearls.
Immediately crafting one. ‘casting my gaze over it’ it has a small keyboard and screen on it. Quickly naming this telepad home, I go to an anvil and make an item specific to the mod, ender beads. Then crafting an ender bead necklace. “NEI I love you” ‘grasping the new necklace, focusing on it. ‘a moment of dizziness later’ “And I am home” sweet, it works.
For safety I craft a couple of the telepads to keep in my golden bag, you never know. The necklace sends you to the closest telepad, whether I made it or not so I could easily see myself ending up in a weird location.
With peace of mind achieved I move on to the next task, lets see if we can finish the farming station. My alloy smeltery has finished its current task so I set it to make me electric steel: Iron, coal dust, silicone [sagmilled sand]. With that working I make a Slice and Splice, it's used to make the circuit out of a zombie's brain. The only ingredient I am lacking is a skeleton skull, which I find Is craftable with bones, convenient. I also make a zombie skull with rotten flesh and bones. A shame wither skeleton skulls don’t have such easy recipes.
Crafting and placing the Slice and spice, I equip a shear and axe into the machine. With it fully functional I make a couple, Z-logic Controllers. Easy as pie to craft and I undoubtedly will need many. While I wait for the slice and splice to make my stuff I ponder on how weird it is to be able to craft ‘skulls’.
Well, it made my life easier no reason to complain. And with that, I now have a farming station. Well, actually 3; I made 3. I also made 3 Octadic capacitors [needed for it to function at max efficiency] and a whole load of diamond hoes, with hoppers so I don’t have to keep putting new ones in.
‘Briskly walking’ Quickly finding my self at my farm, which I now take the time to expand into 3 layers. Taking extra care to keep the decorations consistent. I create wires running along with the ceiling into the top of the machines, with a hopper in the side with diamond hoes. After making sure everything is lit up, I create a hole under the machine where I wired in a transfer node leading to a couple diamond chests.
And with that, all that was left was to place to seeds in and watch my materials flow in. Love automation, and this is by far one of the best forms. I also make sure to plant a large crop of minicio; going into a separate chest leading outside, I have plans for that.
While that runs for a bit, is start work on something else while I wait. Setting up an auto crafter for an item called ‘Shield templates’ I start mass producing them. I will need a lot.
‘pulls out my builders wand dramatically’ “Time to get to work.” I take those shield templates and I start creating the ‘template’ for my forcefield. Starting with a square frame roughly 4 blocks out from my island on all sides, just barely passing the top of my castle. I also create the frame for the bottom, although for that part; to save blocks I just trace the outside of my island, branching out onto the rest. Creating a square-topped and pointed bottom. I made the top so large so I can still build on top of my island. Taking most of the day filling out the shield.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Told ya these things are bloody versatile, a shield in any shape. For now, it's just a template as a tier2 forcefield generator cant power such a massive forcefield. My plan is to use 2 tier 3 generators, or if I gather nether stars 1 tier 4. A pipe dream I know.
I create 2 tier 2 forcefield generators, they call them ‘shield generators’; same thing. Stupid easy to make up till this point but to make a tier 3, I need dimensional shards, native to the nether. Before I go looking for them I create more thermoelectric generators, about 30. Divided in 2 I place them on either side of my island creating separate power generators, to maintain the shield generator. Wouldn’t want to accidentally shut my shield off in the middle of being sieged. I need to make more Constantine, I wonder if you can make a magical crop for it.
With the power system set up for the generator, sneakily disguised by a small hill; I start heading to the nether. It's been a while since I went on an adventure into hell. ‘stepping through the portal calmly’ peace of mind in knowing home is a teleport away.
Since I moved the nether has changed a lot, common sense since I moved a decent distance away. As I start flying, heading towards the nearest decline. I notice a larger variety of fauna. I even spot what I believe is a pigling.
Flying at a relaxed pace I descend further, a better chance for me to find the shards. Abruptly I hear a loud squeaking before ‘bang’ Being blasted off balance I narrowly missed falling into the lava. Looking back I see a swarm of hell bats “shit”. I am sure I could kill even a dozen but not hundreds, so without further ado, I fly at max speed trying to escape. Finding myself faster by a narrow margin, I breathe a little easier. Damned things are like creepers on steroids. At least creepers cant fly.
I haven’t actually seen any creepers although once while caving I heard one, before promptly leaving. Escaping the bats… I think. They likely actually got bored, seeming to all leave at once. Well, back onto my material hunt unmolested I start my search for a bright white ore that if I recall correctly should look unnatural. “Like that over there” I am grateful I am blessed with an easy ore gather today, even if it used to be as common as dirt. Collecting the vain and a nearby vein as well I quickly go to test out the teleportation function of my necklace. With a nauseating amount of spinning, I fall over the top of my telepad, “god that’s awful”. Interdimensional travel is cruel. I don’t normally get motion sick but when you being moved through dimensions and likely over a thousand blocks as well it gets a bit, disorientating.
At least I am home, and I didn’t vomit. I call that success. Once the room stopped spinning I gathered my wits and crafter the tier 3 shield generators. Connecting both up to the shield template and respective power sources I start to calibrate them. Me only as passable through, let us make it solid and hurt people who try and go through it. Not choosing the lethal option though. Animals cannot go through including monsters, I may change that in the future but now I see no need for the extra risk.
Watching as they initialize after I activate the second one, a rising wave of blue’ after looking over it, it is like I am inside a giant bubble. Nice, maybe I will change it to transparent if I want my view back. Oddly enough it smoothed out, not looking like the blocky nature of the templates, both cool and curios. Admittedly it looks better so it's not a concern. Sitting back and appreciating the fact that this is basically a claim function, one step closer to the game I suppose. Although I don’t believe I need to recreate Minecraft any further intentionally or otherwise.
Mentally going through what I have, a near unlimited supply of basic materials, a home that’s protected well, not to mention the home looks great. A source of food. I guess this is where I start working on enjoy life more and less so trying to rush through tech trees. Not that I won't be experimenting but for now I am going to appreciate life a bit. I've got a long time, potentially an infinite amount of time. I need to check to see if I age inside the clone storage. If I do I will vamp up my true body. Making sure to create a clone army so I don’t have to cure my self to make more.
Heading over to my farm I find a lot of minicio, making 4 zivicio I create diamond seeds. Not for the diamonds but for the essence. With 8 essences I quickly make I craft it with my strong infusion stone to make a master infusion stone. A universal stone that has infinite durability. Exactly what I need for what I am about to do. I then place an auto crafter, piping the minicio in I use the master stone to produce accio, which is then piped back in to produce crucio, which then is piped out of the item with a filter and pumped back into the original chest. Adding a filter that only lets minicio and accio be pulled out. I just made my storage 16x as efficient. I could go further but I don’t need to. At least if I wait long enough I will have a virtually unlimited supply of zivicio. I will check back later.
‘Walking along with the earth of my island’ I witness the spider and the slime zap themselves on the new shield generator. It’s not lethal but if they fall it would be “sigh”. Heading over to the generator I make it so it only zaps players and only stops monsters and animals. They probably have no idea what I do for them.
Heading to my kitchen I take some flour and water. Flour is just wheat in a sag mill, convenient. Getting a glass jar I make a sourdough starter, no measurements just guestimation. Taking it up to my room with more flour and water so I remember to feed it correctly, taking out a portion and adding more flour and water. Through all this, yeast is cultivated which I will use to make bread that doesn’t just taste like a white loaf.
‘resting my head on my bed’ It's been a long day but a very productive one. I am very proud of my self for all I've done today, it would be unthinkable normally. I suppose everything is far away you just need to take it one step at a time.
