“What time is it?” Takada yawns as he reaches over for his phone on top of his nightstand and checks the time, he sees that his alarm already went off and it is 8:30.

He gets up at an alarming rate and shouts “IM GOING TO BE LATE, WAIT I’M ALREADY LATE!” then rushes to get changed into his school uniform. Takada runs through the dining room with toothbrush in mouth and notices the bento box on the table with a note saying “Here is breakfast son, you better not be late or else I will make sure you are more than just late tomorrow” From Dad it read on the bottom of the note.

Takada shudders in fear for a couple seconds and contemplates “Should I even go to school now? Pops is going to send me to the afterlife regardless. I might as well just enjoy my last few hours on this earth…” He shakes his head and comes to a conclusion that he will end up worse if he ditched school so he grabs the food and makes a run for it.

By 8:45 he makes it to school and sneakily makes his way to class hoping to not get caught. When he gets to his classroom safely the English teacher Ito Sensei was in the middle of a lecture so he tried to get to his seat as discreetly as possible.

As he opened the door and entered the classroom Ito Sensei stopped talking and looked straight at Takada and with a sigh said, “Glad you finally felt like joining the class, you came right after your part came up so your safe for today. But if you're late again the only thing you will be able to read anymore is your will.”

The class laughs at Takada and Takada gives Ito Sensei a cheeky grin as he goes to his seat.

As Takada sits down Tooru turns around and in between laughs says "You got guts coming late to class after already establishing yourself as the 'Sleepy Mikan' for sleeping in every one of your classes. I expect nothing less from my first high school friend" then Tooru gives Takada a thumbs up.

"If you want to ask Mitsuyoshi-Kun to be your boyfriend ask him after class, not during my lecture Akitsuki-Kun" Ito sensei yells while motioning with his pen to be quiet.

Tooru quickly turned back around with a reddening face as Ito sensei proceeds to continue his lecture and the rest of the class snickers at Tooru and Takada. Class ends and the lunch bell rings.

"Hey, Taka-Kun you want to go eat at the canteen or in class?" Tooru asks Takada.

Takada looks in his bag and sees he still had his breakfast bento box he didn't have time to eat while he was running to school. "I have food from home so let's eat in the classroom today," Takada says as he takes out his breakfast bento box.

"Ok but can you go with me to the canteen first Taka-Kun, I didn't bring any lunch with me and usually go to the canteen for lunch?" Tooru asks before getting up.

Takada shakes his head yes and they go to the canteen. As they go to the canteen Takada runs into a girl carrying a stack of books, both of them falling over.

Takada immediately apologizes "I'm so sorry I ran into you, I wasn't paying attention," and starts helping the girl pick up the books off the floor.

The girl starts picking up the books as well while saying "Don't worry about it I was paying about as much attention as you were haha, it's both of our faults." When Takada picks up the last book he looks at the girl and realizes that the girl was Chika Kawasaki from the day before.

"Oh hey, it's you Kawasaki-chan, funny to meet you again like this" Takada says as they both stand up.

"Haha this is indeed quite the way to meet each other again Mitsuyoshi-Kun, it was nice seeing you again but I have to hurry on and bring these books to the teachers' lounge before I can go get lunch," Chika says as she brushes off her skirt.

"Actually, let me help you bring those books to the teachers' room since I ran into you on accident. It's the least I can do for inconveniencing you." Takada looks at Tooru and says "Hey Tooru I'm going to help Kawasaki-Chan take these books over, you get your lunch and I'll meet you in the classroom when I'm finished."

Tooru gives a thumbs up and replies "Alright I'll see you in the classroom then Taka-Kun. I apologize for my friend running into you Kawasaki-Chan," And Tooru heads off.

Takada grabs all the books and tells Chika "Alright lead the way, I will be your pack mule for today."

Chika grabs a couple books from Takada and says "I have to at least carry a couple of the books since it's originally my job, thanks for helping me out with carrying these books," Chika gives a bright smile to Takada before they go to the teachers' lounge.

Takada and Chika drop off the books at the teachers' lounge and stops Takada outside the teachers' lounge. "Thanks again for helping me out twice now, this might have been the only time being run into and falling was helpful haha," Chika smiles and laughs.

"You don't have to thank me Kawasaki-Chan, just helping out a fellow classmate," Takada says while trying to look cool.

Chika laughs at Takada "Haha what is that pose, also call me Chika I feel like we are good friends by now. You mind if I call you Takada?"

"Oh... I guess I gotta work on my poses more haha, alright I'll call you Chika then. Go ahead and call me Takada then, Tooru calls me by Taka-Kun if you want to also," Takada says with a slightly embarrassed look on his face.

"Taka-Kun? What a cute name he gave you. Well, I'm going to go eat my lunch now, I hope we can become good friends Takkun (pronunciation: Tah-coon)," Chika starts going to her classroom.

"WAIT CHIKA!" Takada yells after her

"What's wrong???" Chika replies after running back hurriedly.

"Chika do you mind if we... exchange contact info, that way if you have to carry any more books I can help you out?" Takada barely manages to fumble out of his mouth.

Chika laughs uncontrollably and when she manages to calm down she pulls out her phone and says "You shouted loud enough for the whole school to hear to ask me for my contact info? I thought there was a ghost behind me or something."

Takada and Chika exchange contact info then they say goodbye one last time and part ways.

Takada becomes absent-minded after the interactions he just faced and stands still for a moment thinking "Man I just did something so embarrassing. Why did I yell so loud? I'm glad she didn't get weirded out by me..."

Takada's inner monologue is abruptly interrupted by Tooru rushing him, "I saw what you just pulled my man, quite the bold move making a move on her like that. Don't tell me you fell in love with her on first glance, quite the helpless romantic you are," Tooru gives Takada a big thumbs up and pat on the back.

"No, no man it's not like that I swear," Takada says. "I just think she is a cool and funny person and want to be friends with her," Takada says while pushing Tooru off of him.

"That isn't what I saw and heard but whatever you say Taka-Kun, whatever you say," Tooru says while winking. "I won't tell anyone."
