In a crowded caravan with everyone preparing for an incoming battle and sounds of caravan going through bumpy dirt roads making a background noise. There was a Bard singing his newly made song and playing on his lute that was slightly out of tune.
“Mosquito is a Monster
Motherfucking Bitch.
If he doesn’t reap you
then he cannot sleep.
Hay can you see mosquito
his ass is glowing brightly
Struck him and aim right.
Fucker will not fight…
*Lute solo*
Mosquito is a Monster
Motherfucking Bitch.
If he doesn’t suck
then he cannot fuck
Hay can you feel mosquito
and this itchy feeling
you fucked him up to late.
Now, you need the healing.
*Lute solo*
Then my father tells me
‘-Son you aren’t right,
mosquitos search for fucking
not someone to fight’
Hey can you see mosquito
reddish tint on ass
turned out that you’ve missed,
left you very pissed.
*Lute solo*
Mosquit flies in night
Mosquit flies in day
I constantly see his
mother fucking shade.
Hay can you see mosquito
his ass is glowing brightly
Struck him and aim right.
He won’t take a flight…
*Lute solo*
Then fly just came over
the mosquitos’s lady
she fly 'round my head
while mosquito mates
Hay can you see mosquito
his ass is glowing brightly
Struck him and aim right.
He won’t take a flight…” (FUN FACT: There is literally a polish song like that, search “Piosenka o Komarze xD”)
Bard’s bad jokes and lyrics matched the mood and vernacular of adventurers present. The language they wielded was armored to the teeth with various profanities, that would really need an educated person to wield all of them. Compared to poor English profanities it was like a library compared to a book.
Caravan has arrived at its destination. Throughout the journey Michael was concentrated on fastly digesting the blood he drank. He didn’t understand the song he was vibing to. He wanted to try to suck again with his new skill, but as he was bloated red, any more blood would probably make him explode. He didn’t digest it all, but he gained back most of his agility. Michael landed on a leather bag of the adventurer party assassin. His brown wings blended with that brown leather. The place they went to was disappointing to mosquitoes. It was a freaking dungeon. For Michael, dungeons equaled bats and bats equaled death. It wasn’t only bats that scared him but it was the first thing it came to his mind. There could be spiders weaving almost invisible webs on almost every surface. The fire traps and fire type monsters. Nah… Forget the fire monsters, a freaking dragonfly would catch and eat him alive before he would be able to process whose buzzing sound was that without any magick. What buffs would the most deadly enemy of mosquitos have in a fantasy world?! Michael quickly recognized that he was just imagining scenarios that were unlikely. But… they were possible. As possible as a sparrow landing on his spawnpoint right after he came out. He wanted to fly away back into a caravan but the other more mature part of his mind stopped him. “The greater the risk, the greater the gain.” he stayed on the bag. The dungeon was a cave on a forestry mountain. Entrance was stony, engulfed in lush moss and ferns.

That skill would be damn handy. Bam! He got the kind of flashback his old military comrades got at dinner from WW2. His mind started overflowing with multiple ways he would die if he entered that dungeon, BZZ! assasin used a short range teleport and it killed him. Chomp! The bat that fliew with extremely high agility got him. WOp! A freaking dragonfly from a nearby cave pond snatched him. ~You know what? Better be safe than sorry.~ Michael suddenly changed decision to wait at the entrance for adventurers to clear the dungeon. He would enter it after it was cleared and try to suck some blood out of the dead monsters. Preferably the dragonfly. He waited for two days. His tank was almost empty now and ready to suck. The horses stayed tied to the tree with the bucket of water and grain near. He saw a few of his fellas sit on their butts and get whipped to death by horses’s tail. The war they were partaking in was on equal grounds, they had advantage in numbers and some of them escaped with the full tanks. Michael didn’t partake in it. He got his fill when the horses were busy. Going into the dungeon he didn’t have many [Death Finder] flashbacks. He passed the pond that he previously felt a dragonfly in a flashback. Something tempted him to go deeper into the dungeon. ~There has to be a boss monster in a dungeon. I’ll probably get more benefits from the boss than a dragonfly…~ He took compatibility into consideration because he didn’t get anything from the horse, but that could be just because he just acquired that skill when sucking the horse. After a few hours of maze and flashbacks of droplets of water dripping from the ceiling and killing him. He got into a boss room. Only the guts of what could be considered a bullfrog monster were lying on the floor. Rest of the body was scrapped by adventurers. He didn’t need much anyway. Michael landed on boss monster’s blood puddle and activated his [Suck]. The screen appeared again.

Finally his stats showed his health, strength etc. and he had two evolution stages to use. Michael was very moved by the sudden generosity of the system. Was lost for words. His life as a mosquito may not be a constant dance with the lady reaper no more. He used his evolution stage right away, his consciousness faded inwards and he found himself within his mental space. Few paths of evolution were available for him.

Hmm… Michael thought for a moment. Is it a coincidence that all paths start with M? He immediately excluded [Mother Mosquito] and [Mega Mosquito]. The [Mosquito Monster] Was really tempting for him but the retribution was a deal breaker for him. He had eternal life and playing it risky probably wouldn’t pay off. So he chose a [Mosquito Mage]. The light glowed around his body as he began evolution. He was just slightly bigger than before. Now not only did he felt the magic energy flowing within the dungeon but he also could control it slightly. Too bad that he could just move it for now. Yet Michael felt satisfied. Most of the time he played DnD he chose a Mage or Dragonoid. Maybe it was his love for science.
When he looked around, there was no guts laying around on the floor anymore. The dungeon was resetting. ~I wonder what’s the science behind it.~ was the first thought that came to his mind. From the pond he passed on the way here started coming out frogs and filling out the dungeon. Some of the frogs self-ignited and became engulfed in the flames. From the flames flew out the bats and filled the dungeon. It was a marvelous sight. Something he has never seen before, even in fantasy films. From the pond also started flying out bugs, some bugs turned into spiders and started making webs. It looked like a totally peaceful ecosystem that didn’t bother about one another. Bats didn’t try to catch the bugs that were flying out of the pond. As if they were their family. Michael was also part of their family now. He was even the head of it. Frogs, bats, and dragonflies didn’t bother him. Michael also decided to not bother them. Who knows if they had any thoughts of overthrowing him if he started to order around too much. He focused on comprehending his abilities, mastering them, cultivating the dungeon and himself and preparing for the next evolution.
