Duncan looked to see Derek being dragged into the darkness, stunned by the sudden flash of light.
There appeared to only be one of the glowing beasts but he had to be wary of more since they were hidden in the darkness. If only he had a [Heat-Seeking] trait centipede then the number of enemy personal would be easily found out.
The sentient centipede has an idea and crawls forward to the rock slide that blocked the tunnel, it pries some of the rocks loose and motions for people to grab the metal from the railing.
Loveheart caught hold of what the centipede wanted to do and grab a piece and slide it above the opening, while someone else propped up the sheet of metal.
A minor opening was made and a notification on Duncan's screen popped up.
[Train Tunnel: Extended] Unlocked, Leads to three potential areas, Danger levels: unknown.
Duncan looked at his survivors, three pregnant females, four males, two sahuagin, one mantises, 1 baby, 1 centipede. 1 lesser acid mantis, and one sentient centipede.
A total of fourteen survivors in the den.
Syndrome would have to go in. This is what Duncan decided to do, though others could go if they wanted to, Syndrome was required to go.
Duncan watched as Syndrome prepared his gear to advance forward, The sentient centipede reared on it's hind legs, also wanting to go. Sadly it was just the duo that was going, everyone else was reluctant to leave, but the swarming of the dragonfly hive outside was slowly getting on their nerves.
Duncan watched as his people suffered. He was a genius, why wasn't everything turning out good?, why was he losing people one by one. Duncan grew afraid of what might happen to him, Sure he might be over-thinking this but what if they did take him into the game, to die a gruesome death.
Duncan put down the phone and just sat in his chair and just thought for a moment.
His mind wandering to outside his room, letting it freely drift. Forgetting everything that was happening at the moment,

Sentient Centipede's POV:
The energetic on, my father apparently, was chosen to go on what seemed to be a death mission. I knew my father was strong, but not the brightest light in the world. Actually he was pretty dumb. I felt oblige to help my father but pointing him in the right direction so I chose to follow him.
Sandra gave me a sad look as I left, as if she would never see me again, but I wanted to assure her that we both would return and with some great supplies as well. I knew that Sandra was sad about the rushed death of the newest batch of centipedes so I went up to her and snuggled her a bit before nodding my head and going with father.
I decided to go first through the passage to scout out any dangers that Father may have The other side of the passage was more railroad tracks, and the rest of the train. The appearance of what was left of survivors was shown, bones and a single decaying body. I went further to find a barred door and two collapsed tunnels. The rest of the train included 4 rail cars which appeared to be living areas, and the locomotive engine.
I scouted the train while Father obsessed himself over chocolate that was secretly hidden.
AFter checking out the train I listed the things that we had found: Coal, Working Engine, Change of clothes, Medi-kits, Water containers (no water) Utensils from the dining car, A working stove and oven and microwave. Words learned from descriptions of what people wanted. They all will be happy.
Danger level was almost non-existent, but that doesn't mean that there wasn't any danger. I went around searching for it, probably a bad idea if you thought about it, but all I could think about at teh time was Father's safety.

Syndrome's POV:

*proceeds to eat all chocolate*
