Duncan twiddle his thumbs before having a squadron of centipedes led by Loveheart to go meet the scouting party. 

As for defenses Duncan had 500 points to spend. Looking at the long list of items that could be bought Duncan finally chose to hire a low-grade training A.I and a small drone

The A.I. was a Tier 2: Minor Tactics A.I costing about 350 points while the body itself for the A.I was only 50 point due to it being only a neural transmitter box that could project images. 

As for the remaining 100 points Duncan bought Lincoln a small roaming ball body much like BB-8 from Star Wars but it didn't have the head and could only do simple tasks. 

As for Loveheart and the squad of Centipedes they came across the scouting party, or to be precise they were surrounded by the scouting party. 

The centipedes scuttled into a circle and waited as Loveheart put on a smile "Hello, I am Conner Loveheart and I would like to meet the Leader of this party" 

The Cobra hissed, the bat screeched, and then three humans walked forward.  One was a girl dressed entirely in red, a sword hung at her belt and a red fedora sat atop her lustrous auburn hair.  The trench coat hide most of her figure giving her a mysterious air. 

The second seemed like a carefree guy, his complexion shown brightly and he always seemed to be giving off a dazzling smile. His blond hair was wind-swept and he didn't wear a shirt revealing toned abs. His only clothing was some tattered shorts but a trident was slung across his back. 

The last figure was a girl in black and white in a yin-yang pattern. Her eyes seemed hazy but carrying a tea set she opened her mouth "Come then friend, let Yinna and you talk for a while" 

Making a table appear from nowhere the girl sat down and put forth two cups of tea. "Yinna wants to know more about this world, will you aid Yinna?" The girl speaks and takes a sip of tea.

Loveheart found it odd to be casually having tea with the enemy but he knew that the base did not have the forces needed to take on these invaders. With a smile Loveheart sat down and took the tea into his hands and took a sip. 

"Minty" Loveheart commented and Yinna put her cup down. "The information?"  

"To tell you the truth we do not have much resources and our base is still expanding, we were unable to explore much due to a hive of monsters nearby." 

"Yinna sees" 

Yinna ponders for a bit before calling the duo that had accompanied her to her side and they started discussing in low voices. 

Finally they broke apart and Yinna calls forth "We off you a deal, provide us live samples of a few of the creatures here and we can provide you some residents for your Den. 

Loveheart paused as he waited for the Den Master to make a decision. 

Duncan thought about the option in front of him. He could think accept the offer but then risk having spies inside of his camp. Or he could refuse them and lose the squadron of residents right there. 

Duncan thought about it for a minute more before giving the answer.

Loveheart unclenched his teeth and replied to Yinna: "We refuse the personal, though a reward for us is in order, to put it short. We require knowledge.  Combat techniques, cultivation and defense tactics. Etc. If you can agree with that we got a deal" 

Loveheart waited for an answer, the sweat started to run down his back as he waited in anticipation of the trio had once more gotten together again to discuss before finally Yinna walked forward again. "We agree with your terms of service as an incentive to get us what we want the knowledge you seek shall be given to you. With this she motioned for someone to walk forward and a metallic humanoid walked forward. Everything about the body was humanoid shape, if flesh was there instead of the metal plates then the body would have turned into a mid-30s woman with lime hair. The eyes that was glowing orange would have been orange iris. 

"Hello, I am A.I. Nala, Do you have any technological storage devices?" 

Loveheart was surprised by this turn of events before fumbling around his body to find a tiny cubical storage device that Duncan had bought in the instant they said their proposal. 

A.I. Nala looked at the cube and frowned, or move the face to mimic a frown. "This cube is inferior but it shall do, 5% of the current knowledge given, further acquisition will be provided when you provide the materials asked for. 

Loveheart could only lower his head in thanks before turning to leave  but he noticed one of the centipede were not moving.  Yinna only looked over "Payment of the knowledge" she said simply and a sudden force threw Loveheart and the rest of the squadron.

In the corner of the Library a figure watched in the shadows of a bookshelf, Duncan had gotten up and left. "Now, How shall I play with you?" the figure laughs and then fades
