Chapter 6: Unity

IT has been continuously offering fish to the mother wolf every day and IT never left  the territory, even if the grey wolf wanted to leave he couldn't leave behind his precious companion, so he stayed around the border of the territory. At some point, the wolf cubs who were now quite big came out of their den whenever IT comes around with fish in his mouth, and they would run, eat and then play with their generous benefactor. Eventually, this leads the mother wolf to accept IT as less of an outsider and more of a pack member since her offspring has shared a good bond with him.

But since IT was also part of the grey wolf's pack he was supposed to choose which group he would stay, but instead, he became a bridge between the two packs which brought the two wolf leaders together.

The time came and the two wolf leaders met, which then became a battle of supremacy, No fighting and biting happened, just a stare off, intimidation the occasional growling and barking and more intimidation happened until one of them backed off.

The mother wolf has slowly been gaining back her strength from starvation but she still wasn't in top shape and she wasn't confident enough to become the alpha, so she backed off. and thus the grey wolf became the pack leader and they had earned a home.

Right now the newly formed pack has five members, The grey wolf, mother wolf, IT and the two juvenile cubs. one of the wolf cubs had the same color as his mother and he was male, the other had a darker red color and she was female. They would now come with IT or any other members of the pack to watch them hunt small game or catch fish, and since the territory was small, deer and other large animals are rare since their none was living in their territory.  Occasionally though some elk will pass the territory and most of the time the pack will miss them.

 IT was still young and growing, but he was big  and already knows how to hunt game so he was already considered an adult. An adult means that he is a functioning member of the pack and he must contribute his strength when they are hunting in groups, and a group hunt hasn't happened yet. since they always miss the opportunity.

Since the territory is now officially owned by his new formed pack, IT decided to explore around it. He found tracks that have entered the territory, the tracks were numerous and the tracks traveled in one direction, an unknown group of animals must have traveled here, they were not wolves since they smell different, and it seems they have been circling this area for a few months since there were also old tracks passing here with the same hoof print,  IT thought.

He followed the scent and tracks until he reached the border of his packs territory. IT stopped following the tracks since he didn't want to leave the territory, the other side were the territory of a different group of wolves, and he didn't want to get caught and killed trespassing. Instead, he circled around the territory and noticed that the territory of IT's pack was surrounded with three other wolf territories. one on the place where the sun rises and two where the sun falls. This causes problems for the pack since they couldn't freely hunt for big game anywhere, but at least the other wolves don't enter the territory as they please.

As IT was done exploring his packs territory he heads back to the den and then to the river, in order to have a nice meal since there was no small or large game to be found. As IT enters the river and catches his first meal, IT sees snow falling from the sky, as IT looks up and the first snowflake lands on his nose, winter has come....
