Prologue
Diary entry 8760
Death is a term associated with people who are gone forever. You know you’ll never see them again so you assume that they’re dead or you know you’ll never see them again because you saw them die. That happened to me when I lost everything to the horrors of the world within “The Fog.” I’m dying of a disease that I cannot cure. “Greatest Doctor” huh… how ridiculous, I can create any potion from any poison, make life spring out of a dead corpse… but I can’t cure the worst sickness… the “Time Limit.” The worst curse to ever exist. I already recorded the explanation in the previous entries so why write it again. I’ve traveled far and wide to find a way to extend my life even just by a bit. But as it turns out, everyone’s death is set in stone in one way or another. I lived for a short time, but with what life gave to me, I didn’t care that I had a time limit placed on my life, I wanted to live even just for a second longer, as a way to finally break the said law that kept me, prisoner. To finally surpass the sickness which I was given just because I was unlucky. Oh well… screw this world and its unfair laws.
It’s my birthday today… I’m 33 now.

I’m Karas Pesuto and this is my final entry…
NO, IT ISN’T
Who said that?
I DID
More specifically?
MY NAME IS UNNECESSARY. YOU WON’T REMEMBER IT ANYWAY. I AM A GOD. A GOD OF THE DARK HALF.
A god? How am I supposed to believe you?
CAN’T PROVE IT TO YOU BUT I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT I CAN GRANT YOUR WISH TO HAVE A CHANCE TO LIVE A SINGLE SECOND LONGER THAN YOUR “TIME LIMIT.”
Let’s say that you’re not lying. If you can indeed do such a feat, why would you do such a thing for me?
IT’S QUITE SIMPLE. I WANT YOU TO OVERCOME THIS CRUEL FATE THAT HAS BEFALLEN UPON YOU. I SIMPLY WANT TO SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU OVERCOME FATE AND BEST THE WORLD.
And how are you going to do that?
NOTHING TOO COMPLEX. I'M SIMPLY GOING TO REWIND TIME AND SEND YOU TO A YOUNGER VERSION OF YOUR BODY.
But then I'll die again within 33 years. And even then I'll have an even shorter amount of time.
EXACTLY. BUT WITH YOUR ALREADY EXISTING KNOWLEDGE, YOU CAN STILL EXPLORE METHODS TO FIND A WAY TO EXPAND YOUR LIFE. SO GO ON, DO IT.
The next thing I know, I woke up. In bed. At home. I observed the room in a panic without having any chest pain from my sickness, I thought to myself, “Am I really back?” Sure enough, in a minute I saw my mother talking to me: “You woke up early. You must be excited for your birthday.”
It’s my birthday today, I’m 8 years old.
