Meanwhile 22 - Retrospective
Try not to be mad. I think I'm saying a lot here in a few words.

While sitting in class one day, my friend Claire asked me what I was "up to".
I was rather confused. Her comment seemed normal but she had this look on her face that told me she was dead serious.
So, I told her "not much. why?" to which she said "Our parents work together and your parents never talk about you so I was wondering if everything was alright."
Ah.
Right, my parents are like super heroes or something.
I never really asked them for the specifics because they have this look on their face that makes me think they reaaaaalllly want me to ask them about their work.

Somehow, it scares me.
"I don't really know what my parents do, to be honest..."
Claire seems incredulous "What?" She almost shouted "How could you not know? Didn't they tell you?"
"They want me to ask and somehow it seems scary so I thought it would be better not to know."
Claire then said "Meet me during lunch if you want to know the truth." She looked very serious.
So, I ate lunch with my friends and didn't look for her.
After that day, she didn't try to talk to me again.
