I BELIEVE IN "BROKEN CORE"

Hey, Azrie, how're you doing?
I don't know if you saw the comments, most probably you did. And boy, isn't it a tough crowd to please.
If you allow me, I'll preface my missive with a little author's rant.
It is my personal belief that the best way to drop a web fiction is to close the browser tab, and move on with one's life. Posting a "I'm dropping this" comment is basically vitriol.
Nobody is more aware of the painful hindsights in a fiction than the very author, when looking at the work in hindsight. Maybe that's why Robert Graves said,
There's no good writing, only good rewriting.
With that said, I would like to give my two cents about "Broken Core".
1. It is a novel take on the "Dungeon Core" genre. It is hard to write one of these and humanizing the MC (the dungeon) is a task with no clear path. Johnathan Broks seems to have it figured out, I mean, the guy spits Dungeon Core books like my late grandfather spat chewed tobacco back in good old Colorado (not really).
2. It is a story with a broken protagonist. Delving into the human psyche is also a tough proposition, and one most authors find daunting.
3. Also, it focus a lot on the inner world, while the outer world is just mentioned en passant.
The above is my opinion, and opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one but nobody will admit theirs stink.
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
Regardless, I'm in love with "Broken Core". I think it is a story that has potential, and I would like very much to see where it goes. It is a story that gives me insights, and very few are able to do that.
So, please, please, please, ignore the trolls. Those comments and the half-star ratings are badges of honor. Your writing was good enough to move a troll into action. We all know they feel the need to destroy things worth something (Otherwise it's pointless to them).
(And hey, I know a bit about trolls, wink, wink)
Keep on doing the awesome.
Because one that decides to share their work online for a complete stranger on the other side of the planet to enjoy for free, is doing the awesome. Regardless of the quality of their work.
Yours is good enough to move me into writing this. GIve it some thought. Then go write a new chapter. Because your characters deserve it.
And if the trolls give you a hard time, remember you have this troll firmly on your bench.
