6-Bar(2)

"Access denied," one of the security guards said, eyeing Zephyr.

"I know," Zephyr replied.

"Then why are you here?"

The guard asked this question with unease on his face, his right hand gripping the knife at his waist. He was ready to attack Zephyr at the slightest wrong move. In contrast, the other security guard remained calm, hands in his pockets.

*He's carrying a weapon,* Zephyr thought.

Seeing Zephyr scrutinizing his companion with careful eyes, the guard furrowed his brows and shouted, "Answer me!"

But the only response he received was two throwing knives swiftly flying towards them.

"Damn it!" he thought, raising his left arm to his face. Immediately afterward, he felt the unbearable pain in his left arm and a burning sensation.

*Sound of falling to the ground*

But his companion wasn't as fortunate. Zephyr's thrown knife had impaled him directly in the throat.

Pulling the throwing knife from his arm, the guard looked at Zephyr.

Seeing the guard looking at him, Zephyr chuckled, "You're quite skilled; blocking the throwing knife surprised me."

The guard yelled, "I won't take a lesson from a brat!" and hurled his own throwing knife at Zephyr.

Zephyr dodged the knife coming towards him and charged at the guard.

*Left foot forward, strong side is his right hand. As I approach, he'll draw the knife from his waist and attack me with all his might. The wound on his left arm is deep and he must be in incredible pain. He'll try to end the fight as soon as possible. To do that, he'll...*

As the two men closed in on each other, the guard swiftly drew the knife from his waist and lunged at Zephyr's throat.

*He's going for my throat directly.*

Unfortunately for the guard, Zephyr had predicted his movements from the start.

He dodged the knife coming towards his throat and drew his karambit from his waist, thrusting it into the guard's chest. Then, without pausing, he pulled the karambit from the guard's chest, moved behind him, and stabbed him directly in the neck.

"What?" the guard said in shock. Before he could understand what was happening, he was on the brink of death. Honestly, this was nonsense to him. Someone much younger than him had defeated him in seconds, despite spending years fighting.

Seeing the bewildered expression on the guard's face, Zephyr chuckled.

"Don't blame yourself. Actually, you're quite good. Unfortunately, you're up against me."

Zephyr said these words and pushed the guard to the ground.

With a muffled sound, the guard's body hit the ground. As the blood pooled around them, the lives of the two guards ended in seconds.

"That was a good warm-up."

Zephyr bent down and searched the guards.

From the guards, he retrieved two knives, a gun, and a key. The knives were insignificant to Zephyr, so he didn't bother looting them. He holstered the gun he had taken from the guard and took out the key, inserting it into the black metal door.

After turning the key twice, a loud metallic sound echoed. Then Zephyr pushed open the door.

Behind the door was a large mini-bar. There were exactly 11 people in this room, and these were the guards. Judging by the knives in their hands, they were waiting for Zephyr to arrive.

Zephyr entered the room and closed the metal door behind him.

With a big smile on his face, Zephyr said, "Diana, you've changed this place a lot in my absence."

Diana, who was the recipient of these words, was behind the ten guards, and when she heard these words, she raised an eyebrow in slight astonishment.

"I don't think I know you," Diana said calmly.

"I understand that, after all, I've been gone for three years," Zephyr said.

Diana, getting bored of this conversation, asked, "What's your purpose?"

Zephyr became thoughtful, putting his right hand under his chin.

"Actually, it's up to you. If you answer my questions, which I don't think you'll do, I'll leave..." Zephyr said.

Diana furrowed her brows upon hearing these words.

"Or else what?"

The smile vanished from Zephyr's face. He drew his karambit from his waist, looking into Diana's eyes.

"Or else, I'll kill everyone here until only you're left. Then I'll ask you questions. I'm sure you'll answer those questions," he said, staring into Diana's eyes.

Feeling a shiver run down her spine as she met Zephyr's determined gaze, Diana realized that something was stopping her. Normally, in such a situation, she would get angry and order her men to kill him, but something was holding her back now. Her instincts were telling her that if she did, she would die..

After a few seconds of locking eyes with Zephyr, Diana thought, *My instincts haven't led me anywhere so far,* and in an authoritative tone, she said, "Bring him to me."

"And make sure he stays in one piece," she added.
