5-Bar
I left my room wearing black pants and a black shirt. George was at work, and Gwen was out, so the house was quite quiet. Actually, Gwen was almost always going out. I could attribute this to her being quite social, but I couldn't help but be suspicious.
In my past life, the Gwen Stacy I knew was an intern and the girlfriend of Spider-Man. But the similarities between her and my current sister are quite few.
Oh well, I'm overthinking...
After all, this universe is quite vast and filled with endless multiverses. With my limited knowledge added on top, it's quite normal to encounter things I don't know.
For now, what I need to think about is who attacked the bar.
Though it's just a guess, the attackers of the bar are most likely henchmen of a major mafia. The bar is quite busy, and its location is perfect for a criminal organization. This makes it a target for the mafia.
The most challenging part is finding out where the headquarters of this mafia is. I could take on the role of a journalist, lawyer, or real estate agent to find them. This is because these roles have a significant influence on mafias. Especially for major mafias.
But this would be time-consuming. If my plan goes as I want, the mafia would come looking for me within at least a week. But if the mafia is cautious, this could take months or even years, and I don't have that much time.
I guess I'll use the ancient technique of diving headfirst.

While I was thinking about these, I had already arrived at a hunter's store. The job I was undertaking was dangerous, and I wasn't yet strong enough to be reckless. So, I came to this hunter's store to buy knives.
If I had the authority to use weapons, a gun would be very helpful. But I couldn't legally buy a gun right now. Plus, I'm too impatient to wait for an illegal purchase.
With an expressionless, cold expression on my face, I pushed open the door of the hunter's shop and entered.
The building was quite old and dusty everywhere. It seemed like the building hadn't seen a customer in a long time. Actually, this was understandable; I couldn't imagine there would be people interested in hunting in this city.
An elderly man who owned the shop lifted his eyes from the newspaper he was holding and looked at me for a second before lowering his eyes back to the newspaper. Then he said, "Get out of here, kid. I'm not gonna sell you a weapon to scare people with."
When I heard these words, I could feel my brain heating up from anger. He called me a kid, an assassin, and a killer.
"I'm definitely gonna sell it..." I whispered and walked slowly towards the table where the man was sitting.
"And at a very reasonable price!" I added.
...
Right now, I have five throwing knives, a dagger, and a karambit. I must say I got these equipments for quite a cheap price.
The old man turned out to be quite kind despite his appearance. Although his face might have changed a bit. Anyway, by buying these equipments, I've spent all my money, and now I'm broke. So, I'll have to walk to the bar.
I started walking, thinking I wish I had bought the equipments cheaper.
...
Honestly, the bar where I used to work had changed a lot. Actually, this was normal; after all, three years had passed. But it still amazed me.
There were two unfamiliar security guards standing in front of the bar's door, searching the people who wanted to enter.
Honestly, when I worked here, this practice didn't exist.
I didn't care about the two guards and went around the back of the bar to the back door that led to the secret room. Although this door looked quite old and rotten, it was the only way to the owner's room, and it was probably heavily guarded.
But I didn't care. As long as we're not outside and don't attract attention, I never shy away from fights.
I put my hand on the old door handle and opened the door. The door wasn't locked and led to another room with a black iron door. Also, there were two security guards guarding this door.
