The Inhumans

The spy, Thalorin, found himself chained to a chair, blood oozing from numerous wounds covering his body. He had been tortured in various ways, yet he refused to give in. His resolve remained unbroken, even as his life's essence continued to escape his battered form. He heard a deep, commanding voice outside the dark room. "Let me in," it ordered, and the guard complied. The door swung open, and Thalorin watched as a purple giant entered the room. Thanos strode over to a large chair not far away and sat down, his intimidating presence filling the small space.

Thalorin defiantly met the titan's gaze, but Thanos seemed unfazed. "You're a tough nut to crack, huh?" he said, causing Thalorin to smirk in response, as if mocking the giant. But then Thanos uttered two words that sent chills down Thalorin's spine: "Mr. Inhuman." Gasping, his eyes widening in disbelief, Thalorin stammered, "How do you know—" But the titan cut him off, looking at him as though he were a simpleton. "Did you think that torturing you was the only way to obtain intel?" Thanos said. "I have a plethora of skilled individuals with the right abilities to get what I want from that little brain of yours." Thalorin's panic escalated, but Thanos continued, "You're probably wondering why we tortured you if that was the case, right?"

The spy, his mind racing, struggled to regain his composure. "Because I hate to see people trying to take what belongs to me," Thanos declared coldly. He rose from his seat and approached the frightened Thalorin, a palpable aura of fury radiating from him. "I know many things about your race," the titan continued, placing his hand on Thalorin's head and applying a gentle pressure. The Inhuman grunted in pain as Thanos squeezed harder. "How arrogant and foolish you can be."

Thalorin began to wail in agony as Thanos tightened his grip further. "Thinking that you can do anything because of some superior genes," he sneered. Finally, Thanos removed his hand from Thalorin's head, leaving the Inhuman bloodied but still alive. "Nonetheless, I would rather avoid a bloodbath between my forces and yours if possible," Thanos said, his amethyst eyes boring into Thalorin. The Inhuman, terrified, trembled under the titan's unwavering gaze. "So do me the pleasure of going and telling your superiors to stop spying on me, or..."

In an instant, multiple knives materialized from Thanos's armor, whirling threateningly around the prisoner. "We will have a problem." Thalorin shuddered, his fragile will struggling to hold onto the last vestiges of his sanity. Thanos left the room, calling for a medic to patch up the Inhuman. The door closed slowly behind him, leaving Thalorin shaking in his chair, the fear of the titan's wrath now etched permanently into his being. As Thalorin tried to process everything that had just transpired, he couldn't help but wonder what would come next.

Thanos's threat had left him feeling a cold dread in the pit of his stomach. The once-proud Inhuman spy now found himself questioning the wisdom of his actions, and the actions of his people. While the medic worked diligently to patch up Thalorin's wounds, he couldn't help but ponder the titan's words. Were the Inhumans truly arrogant and foolish? Had their pursuit of power and dominance blinded them to the dangers they now faced? After the medic had finished tending to Thalorin, he was unceremoniously released from his restraints and escorted out of the building. As he stumbled out into the open air, the weight of his ordeal still heavy on his shoulders, he knew that he had no choice but to return to his superiors and relay the titan's warning.
