The dinner party chatter that had once occupied the large restaurant floor was cut to silence with a loud crack. No one dared move as they looked at the towering beast that had crushed a dinner table for a family of four. The beast seemed to be approximately seven feet tall, maybe eight. Adorning it was a thin cloth that wrapped around its body like a himation, its back however was accompanied by an out-of-place battle ax. The axe shared no aesthetic similarities with the rest of the outfit and even more jarring was its massive size, it seemed to be the length of the beast itself at least. For only a moment the people in the room couldn't believe what was in front of them, that is until a massive fireball erupted in the building across the street. The shockwave served as two things in that moment, a reminder that what was happening was real and that there was no escape.
All at once, like time had finally started to flow again, the room screamed to life. Those who were smartly tried to run for safety, either through the elevator or the fire exit, which occupied the same corridor. The restaurant they were currently in was on the 36th floor of a skyscraper in the middle of a bustling city. They thought to themselves that if they simply escaped onto the street level, they could be out of the imminent danger the beast posed. Before they could even reach the door however they were struck down by the beast, but it seemed that the beast didn’t spend any effort to instantly kill the three escapees. The beast seemed to have understood that the door labeled exit was the goal of those people, so in one swift motion, it shot a punch into a pillar supporting the door frame. The pillar collapsed and while it didn't suddenly drop the entire building on them, it did collapse the only escape route. Many of the restaurant patrons then began to scream and wail at what they perceived as certain doom, which only seemed to annoy the beast. It quickly grabbed the nearest person who was screaming in fear, a woman in her mid-30s, and threw her into a wall, the impact left only a broken body, killing her instantly.
"Silence you filthy animals. I will not listen to the screams of ants". And within that moment the guests went silent, fearing that they would fall victim next if they even made a noise. "Prove yourselves worthy of life, if any of you can hit me then I will spare those left."
No one moved an inch, no one could believe the situation before them, and no one wanted to draw attention to themselves. "Pitiful, like the pests you are, not a single one of you can become worth something"
With that, the beast picked up a man by the head who was within arm's reach. He screamed as hard as he could, grasping at the hands that gripped his head like an apple. He understood that his desperate attempts to claw his head free would not work so he began wailing on the body of the beast with all his might. Whether it be his legs that kicked the chest and stomach or his fists that slammed into the beast's arm. But the realization to fight had occurred too late, by the time his first kick and punch landed the man's head was crushed.

"Too late, who's next"
The beast then ripped the fine suit off of the man's corpse and used it to wipe the blood off its body. As it did so another man grabbed a fire extinguisher and ran at the beast planning to strike it before it could realize. But before the man could reach the beast, it picked up the corpse in front of it and threw it at the man running. After suddenly getting the wind knocked out of him the man curled into a ball on the floor. The beast turned to go after the man on the ground but stopped before it took its first step. It had been hit, by a child. A young boy snuck behind the beast while it was busy with the adults. The beast's face, which was previously adorned with a frown, was now split by a wide-fanged smile.
"FINALLY, SOMEONE HAS HIT ME! The rest of you should be disappointed that a child beat you, though you won't live long enough to regret it" The beast yelled grinning ferociously.
The beast moved to the collapsed pillar blocking the only exit and kicking it, shattering it, and making a path to the other side. He grabbed the boy who had hit him and tossed him through the pathway. Then he grabbed the battle ax that had been strapped to his back and placed it in a way that while the boy could see the other side, no one could cross over.
“Stay put, and watch”
“But you said you would let them live” the boy meekly said.
“That was just motivate you all” The smile on the beast’s face grew even bigger, he was getting joy from seeing the despair creep across the boy’s face.
The boy was helpless to stop the beast as it turned to face the crowd behind it. He screamed and cried desperately trying to force the ax out of the way. But he was only 10, he was lucky to even hit the beast when he did. His parents and sister were all hurt under the table that the beast destroyed when it first appeared. He only hit the beast because he wanted to save them, and now it was all for nothing. His muscles and body began to burn as he strained himself pushing against the ax, but it still would not move. The beast was already halfway through the crowd of people, it never stopped. It was hit multiple times while it massacred but it wasn’t fazed once, it seemed like it allowed itself to be hit to show that nothing the crowd did would save them. The only ones left now were those who hid, but it found all of them. And only 10 minutes after the beast had initially appeared, the entire restaurant was cleared out by the beast, all except the boy.
“Grow strong for me now boy, and get your revenge, I look forward to it”. The beast walked to the boy and grabbed its ax. “Don’t ever forget what I have done, if you don’t want it to happen again, work every day to stop me”.
The boy was hopeless, now his arms had gone out and he collapsed to the ground. The beast put its ax back onto its back effortlessly and walked towards one of the many glass windows overlooking the city. It then broke the window and jumped through it onto the city below. The boy fainted from exhaustion. Laying with him was a long and thin wrapped cloth concealing something.
