After that revelation, I sit back in the chair, and start thinking, mind going way overspeed. With the implications of being capacitors, these elves are closer to electric eels than they are to my phone! Everything here is powered by siphoning off of their internal capacitor! And what Thallion said about needing insulation on their swords make sense, stabbing a capacitor is a great way to get fried or guts embedded in your face. A shield can take care of guts, but a metal sword in the chest connected to a large capacitor will still arc pretty bad through you.
With renewed vigor, I look back at the resistors, this time selecting a purple one. Soldering it in and connecting my phone, it still does nothing but my phone does not shut off the USB port this time. So the more red a resistor is, the larger the current! Still does not help me with my current issue of needing a way to charge my phone but it is a start.
A little later, Thallion and Lena stand up, nod at Silvra and try to pull me out of the room, not realizing I am much heavier than they are. Thallion’s arm jerks and bends slightly the wrong way after trying to guide me out. I quickly pack up my powered off phone and cable and follow after them. Getting back to my room, I quickly grab the paper and charcoal that Thallion left, and start writing down what I think I know so far.
1. I am not on Earth
2. There are elves, and Orcs
3. All life has a centralized electrical system that behaves as a capacitor. It is in the chest for animals
4. These animals have wires inside them to carry charge throughout their body, similar to the nervous system but actually using metal
5. The world is roughly middle ages to renaissance, at least in the backwaters
6. There is deep understanding of the world as they can summon, but little to no understanding of AC or DC electricity
7. They know iron, and metalsmithing as well as glass making, but it is not large panes or used everywhere. Stone, clay and wood are still more popular for cooking utensils and ovens.
8. Their higher understanding magic is electrically powered
Given this info, and assuming that I did not mess it up, I start thinking about why I was summoned. Maybe strength? Doubtful, yes I am stronger than them, but a soldier or even someone that has walked into a gym would be stronger. Intelligence? I know some stuff, but most is useless without electricity. Wisdom? Well… probably not. How do you know if you are wise? Charisma? Maybe if they wanted a strong little kid to pull on heartstrings and punch them in the face? Dexterity? A flounder is more dexterous! Walking has been a challenge due to the low gravity, and I walk into walls and tables on Earth all the time! Constitution? Again, many better examples on earth.

I then realize that I just made my DND character sheet, great. Scratching out that section, I try to think about other combinations on why me? Thinking back to the poster, the tower is shown as a beacon driving back the darkness. Reflecting back, the darkness was depicted as wavy, as if it is sloshy? Is this area prone to flooding? I have not seen any rivers or creeks since I’ve been here, but I don’t think summoning someone from another realm/dimension is the answer to flooding, unless summoning is cheaper than guys with shovels.
There are seven billion people on earth, where there are better, smarter, faster, stronger people than me in literally everything. So why me?
I lay down on the bed, reflecting on why I am here, and unfortunately starting to think about the plot. Powerwise, I am down to 53% so at least my experimentation did not cost much. But the one answer I need will not be found in Wikipedia, I’ll need to find it myself.
Set with this daunting task before me, I try to sleep, between being chased, playing dead, and realizing they are capacitors, I am exhausted, but mentally I am restless. Who am I worthy to be summoned? Why am I here?
